The SMJHL season is nearly upon us, and as such, players are arriving and fans are getting ready to buy tickets. Well, some fans. The real fans, the true elite, have purchased their season tickets well in advance. These people are a cut above the rest and therefore deserve to be treated as such. The season ticket holders, or “A-Tier Fans” will get to visit with the team to meet players, get autographs, and have an overall fun day for almost no additional charge. Planning these events can be considered costly, so the team has decided to instead put rookie defender, Delver Fudgeson in charge of the entire event. While some may consider it foolish to put someone who has just moved to the city in charge of a big event like this, those people should know that he was thrilled when asked to do this job. His exact quote was “Okay, I guess.” No hesitation!

The event itself took place in the part of Lethbridge that Delver is most familiar with so far: the team practice facility. There was an open skate with the players, and then everyone got a tour of the water fountain and snack machine. Several of the teams veterans didn’t bother to show up to practice, but those who did were relatively friendly to the season ticket holders. Fans got their autographs and a chance to see the behind the scenes of player practice, such as Delver’s pre and post workout naps. With any luck this event has made a lasting impression on the wealthier fan base, who will surely renew their season tickets if this is the sort of thing they can look forward to every year.

Anchorage is going out on a limb for their season ticket holders’ little fan appreciation even planned by the rookies. Without consulting the other rookies, Elijah Jones takes over the planning process. For music, Lil Nas X will come in and perform “Old Town Road”. The important reason for choosing Lil Nas X as the live music is that he only has one song, therefore he can’t run on for too long. This event is going to be sweet, but short. For food, we’re catering with Dale, the guy that runs the food truck at the construction site across the street from the arena. Like the standard little fan appreciation events with season ticket holders, all the players will be there to mingle. They will sign photos, jerseys, even babies if necessary. These events are for showing the season ticket holders that they are appreciated. In order to have a fun little competition, a long put-put hole will be set up. We’re talking 50 yards with various obstacles. The folk(s) with the best score receive a team signed goalie stick. And for the real entertainment, a raffle will be held for an extra season ticket which people could gift out to friends or family.

With preseason right around of the corner and Anaheim still vibing from their recent championship win, the rookies decide to host the team's season ticket holder event at the arena lobby, where the cup is being displayed. Headlining the rookie meet and greet includes fresh Outlaw draft picks Anthony Archer, Jukka Jokinen, Daniel Gonzalez, Karl Motley, Gritty Saosin, and Alexander Mann. A meet and greet around the corner is also conducted with star players including Max Rockatansky, Lallo Selman, Nick Conolly, Yoshimitsu McCloud, etc. Other events include live music, a lineup of food trucks to try out, games and a bounce castle for the kids, merchandise stands but also merchandise and autograph giveaways, as well as raffles and drink stands. Anthony Archer appears to be the most popular among the rookie meet and greet lines, being the first round pick for the Outlaws and as many refer to him as a 'draft steal.' Anthony appears to always be smiling and laughing, enjoying his time meeting fans and even hanging out with other players on the team and likewise for each of them. As the sun goes down after the meet and greet sessions have concluded and everyone has gotten their fill of music, food, drinks and raffle entries, the main event is conducted with the raising of the championship banner and fireworks to end the night.

The Detroit Falcons look like a promising squad for the upcoming season, with the shiny new 1st and 4th overall picks in the SMJHL entry draft, Noah Andros and Jagger Fouquette respectively. Along with returning talent including the likes of Satoshi Zizagooney, Josh Driver and Espen Knutsen Jr, the Falcons look like a solid contender for the upcoming season and thus the buzz around the team has reached its peak. The Detroit Falcons management had decided to hold an event for its loyal season ticket holders that took place on June 14, 2019. The event was held out on center ice in the Detroit Falcons official facility. The activities included a meet and great, picture session, a slap shot contest for the fans, and a questions and answers session for the fans. Tickets were free and jersey sales were 10% off with all proceeds from the day going to charity. All players and management were expected to attend and did attend. The newer unknown undrafted free agent signing Khabib Nurmagomedov was met with plenty of cheers and support from the loyal Detroit crowd. Khabib has embraced the Falcons and has vowed to return a championship to the city. The event was a huge success in the eyes of the players, the fans, and the media and according to the owner of the Falcons, "will be a new tradition going forward."

As the Whalers finished up signing rookies, they planed an event where the fans could meet said rookies. The event was a meet-up at a local high school, which happened just as the school year was about to end. The event happened at the school's field, where food trucks were set up, music from local bands was being played and highlights from the previous SMJHL season were being shown on a TV on the school's outer walls. The teenagers at the school got autographs from the various players and staff. The player they liked the most was Jax Duggan, who really enjoyed getting autographs from everyone at the school and just hanging out with them in general. The students said that the food was amazing, and the music was very enjoyable, with a combination of the past and the present. The event was a smash hit at the school, and they really want to have another go at it next year. The Vancouver Whalers enjoyed it as well, and after the event closed concluding a street hockey tournament, the players left the school grounds and headed back to their homes to prepare for the upcoming SMJHL season.

When it comes to season ticket holder events every Militia fan only wants to meet one player, and that is Conor Tanner. The son of Montreal Hall of Famer Connor Tanner is a hit amongst the fans and that is why they have decided to host the season ticket holder event at the house of the Tanner’s, not only do they get to me the Militia’s newest center, but they also get to meet his father and uncle Connor and Jack Tanner, who were star defenders for the Militia 10 seasons ago. Especially with Conor recently being named the newest alternate captain of the Militia, he was a hit amongst the fans as he signed close to 15 jerseys as the fans lined up for minutes.

Although I am trying my best to sound like this event was a massive success, I can not help but admit that not many people actually wanted to meet Conor, but instead meet his father.

The event was a catastrophic failure as only 6 people showed up that morning, even after Connor had spent nearly six hours making pancakes for all the guests that he thought were going to arrive, I guess next season they’ll have to properly advertise the event.

As a season ticket holder you arrive to the venue at dusk, it is the Garden of Gods Resort and Club in Denver, Colorado and it’s only the beginning of magic hour. All guests are set to arrive at the front entrance and are greeted by valet. Guests are then guided to the dining hall near the north west end of the resort where the hall has been decorated in Raptors team colors and supplemented with greenery that sells a forest theme. Being in the large hall gives the feel of being in an actual jungle and were it not for the DJ spinning hit tracks, you might believe you were actually there.

There are four bars, one for each corner of the room and each with it’s own dinosaur theme. Servers move throughout the room, all in Raptors colors and each of them offering a variety of Raptor themed snacks like candy in the shape of Raptors Claws or collectible Raptor glasses for your cocktails. Fun games like the Raptor Race will be held for door prizes while an auction will be held for the main event, win a date with your favorite Raptor! The winner of the auction will be able to choose one Raptor from the team and will get tickets to the Raptors first game of the season. The winner will also get to meet the Raptor before and after the game, including getting to share dinner with the chosen Raptor in the arena’s restaurant, Ruby Tuesday.

With the SMJHL season upon us, the Kelowna Knights have decided to hold a premiere event for their season ticket holders. The rookies were tasked with planning the event, which left Kelowna's newest signee, Malcolm Weekes, in a strange position. Weekes didn't declare in time for the SMJHL draft and was instead signed as a free agent. This signing came after the preseason, so Weekes hasn't had much time to be with the team yet and had to scramble to help with the event. The rookies on the Knights decided that there would be multiple "stations" for the ticket holders, if they choose, to participate in fun games, autograph sessions, one on ones, etc. Since the event was at the arena, Weekes decided that after the initial festivities, which include an introduction of new players and a video package from the preseason, that he would setup in net with his gear and let anyone that wanted to to try and score on him. At first, he thinks this may have been a mistake, as the first couple of people are frustrated when he easily stops their shot, but then the competition actually ramps up. Suddenly it's one of the top events as people try to score on Weekes, the pressure growing with each passing participant. A couple of the ticketholders almost sneak one in, but can't manage to best him. There is so much attention on it that his teammates join in, taking their turns trying to score. Finally, Gunnar Söderberg manages to best Weekes and sneak in a goal and the place erupts. Overall it was a fun event and the fans left excited about Weekes' potential for the Knights.

This past weekend, the St. Louis Scarecrows held their annual season ticket holder event to celebrate the upcoming season with their most loyal and dedicated fans. Every year, it is up to the team to put on the event. They decided to put a different spin on the event this year though and let the rookies take over the planning committee. And boy, the rookies did not disappoint!

As usual, the event was held at the Enterprise Center with live music performed by local artists, including hit rock band Story of the Year. This year's event featured a souvenir bobblehead giveaway of newly signed rookie Noah Brusky to all fans in attendance. The young stud was present at the event and was posted up at a table for hours, signing the bobbleheads for any and all fans that desired his soon to be famous autograph. Many other members of the Scarecrows team and staff were available at the event and were walking around the ground floor, meeting and greeting any fan that they came across. Mysteriously missing from this group though was other young defenseman Brennan Griggs, who has yet to report to the Crows training camp. Fans were invited to participate in a number of activities throughout the day, but perhaps none was more popular than the virtual reality hockey simulator. Fans were dropped onto the ice in the virtual world and played a 3 minute game of hockey with computer simulations of their favorite players on the Crows roster.

The event went from 10am until 5pm, and once again put smiles on the faces of thousands of season ticket holders for yet another year. Best of luck to the Scarecrows as they begin their quest for yet another Four Star Cup!

The Colorado Raptors are a franchise that is trying to turn around its luck through the draft. The fans are ecstatic with the results of the S48 draft and are looking forward to watching the new prospects hit the ice. With the organization being aware of this, they have decided to host a special event for season ticket holders to meet each prospect drafted in the S48 SMJHL entry draft. To make the event feel very authentic and genuine the Raptors have left the planning of the event to the rookies as well so the fans can truly see how happy and invested the rookies are into the franchise and fans.

The event will be held at the Raptors home rink where the famous Colorado-based group the Flobots will perform. To start the event off each season ticket holder will be welcomed onto the ice where there will be mini activity stations open with different pairs of rookies running them. To end the activities off there will be a shoot out on Knox Booth. Whatever season ticket holder wins that will receive a Raptors jersey signed by all of the roster players for S48. After all the season ticket holders have completed the activities there will be a meet and greet so the season ticket holders can get to know each rookie on a personal level while also getting their merchandise signed.

Write 200 words about the event.  Where is it held, what kind of activities are scheduled, how many people show up, is your player a hit?

The approach and hype of the new season has owners and management wanting to take advantage of a huge draft year by having the rookies plan the season ticket holders event this year. The season ticket event will be held at the Colorado Raptors Arena and is expected to host ~2-4k season ticket holders who will get to participate in an array of activities as well as get to meet the players themselves. There will be player signing opportunities, various food and beverage vendors, and some hockey related challenges for the fans to participate in. The Half ice shot, a stick handling event, more. It's a great way for fans to interact with and get to know the players, get memorabilia signed, and just have a great day around the team. Heat Siecker, being a part of the part planning committee with the other rookies has decided that free beer must be made available as well as several top musicians. It is expected to be an amazing day for season ticket holders and management hopes this amazing day will lead to further season ticket sales in the future as well as a successful season.
