Hot Potato Trophy - SHL S48 Sim 12

@~~Mike Izzy~~ theft update: It looks like Mike Izzy has taken the original Hot Potato to a water park. Could this be an attempt to induce Stockholm Syndrome in the Hot Potato or did they have a budding relationship prior to the theft and it was, in fact, a runaway situation on the Hot Potato's part? The relationship here in unclear, much like the Rhaegar/Lyanna situation. Lets just hope it doesn't cause a rebellion of the House Potato to overthrow the Calgary Dragons. Or maybe we should, and then we can have a better ending to Game of Thrones.

Nat Emerson's role as a 3rd-line defenseman doesn't afford him as prominent of a role on his team as some of the other previous possessors, but he still gets a decent amount of ice time. He also has the highest checking aptitude on the team, so his "limited" time was offset by a more physical game. Nat had an okay game, taking two shot and blocking one, icing when his team needed it. In the 2nd period, Nat was hit by Mike Izzy, known Potato thief, probably as an attempt to provoke Emerson to pass the precious Hot Potato to him. Who knows what kind of ridiculous stunts Izzy would do with TWO Hot Potatoes. Nat's time to pass the Potato came in the 3rd period with just 3 minutes left, where he took out Barry Batsbak.

Barry Batsbak is the 3rd-line center for the Dragons. He added good pressure where he needed to, with 5 of his 6 shot attempts testing the goaltending of the Platoon. He's not a very physical player, with only minimal training in checking over the course of his current SHL career. He received the Hot Potato with about 3 minutes left in the game, and since it was his last shift he had almost no opportunity to get rid of it himself. It looks like the Dragons have the Hot Potato once again, and since this is the last game of theirs for today they'll be carrying it over to tomorrow.
