Hot po-take-to: By the time the game started Daniel had become infamous throughout the country. A video of he and Brad dancing to Boyz II Men had surfaced on Twitter and became the fastest video to go viral in 2019. So when Kelowna came on the ice they knew exactly what buttons to push to get under his skin. By the last minutes of the opening period Scherbak had made one too many potato chip jokes and Bischoff saw red. As Scherbak came through the neutral zone with his head down Daniel laid a devastating hit on him with the intention of putting him out of the game for good and to shut up the Potato Haters. However in his rage he didn't realize that would also divorce him from his beloved Potato. Instantly The Potato transfered to the Knight and Daniel has been in mourning since.

Hot po-take-to: It's unknown if it was intentional or not, but The Potato was affixed to Scherbak's helmet upon him rising to his skates. While this did look a bit odd - everyone had to admit it was an unobtrusive place to store it. Scherbak played as if The Potato had no impact on his game at all. He netted one goal and never paid any kind to the veggie on his head. This enraged Bischoff throughout the night and he vowed to get his beloved back one way or another. Scherbak dismissed this nonchalantly, but if I were him I'd definitely watch my back.
