Confirmed: New England not trading Volkov

In a recent article here, it was predicted that defenseman Igor Volkov of New England would be traded to join an expansion team. The logic was that New England had way too many defensemen and that one or two of them would need to be sacrificed.
Igor was not happy with this prediction. He complained to his coach about being traded again after less than two seasons on New England. Before an incident of rage broke out, Igor was reassured that the article's speculation is incorrect. Volkov is set to remain in New England for the foreseeable future. And he likes it that way. If he gets traded, he has declared that "there will be problems", without giving any further info. Best not to anger the defenseman. AAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Igor is satisfied with how things are currently. Given the present situation, he would not change his team. He remains baffled as of to why anyone would think differently. S48 Four Star Cup Champion (Vancouver Whalers) |
