I am a huge fan of The Office. It is my go to binge show and I can quote just about any episode. I am a firm believer that Pam isnt the greatest person and in fact was a pretty selfish person at points in the series. But I will get into that later. I wanted to see if I could do a little bit creative media and see if I could pinpoint which Office characters would be fans of which teams in the SMJHL.

For this media I am going to use 16 Characters. These were who I would label as the "Main Characters". They are: Michael Scott, Jim Halpert, Pam Halpert, Creed Bratton, Dwight Schrute, Andy Benard, Phyliss Vance, Stanley Hudson, Oscar Martinez, Angela Martin, Kevin Malone, Toby Flenderson, Kelly Kapoor, Ryan Howard, Meredith Palmer and Darryl Philbin.

So lets get it Started!

Michael Scott

Michael Scott strides to be liked. He is going to pick who he thinks is the best and most popular team. I think with them winning the last two 4 star cups that would be the Quebec City Citadelles. Let's also not forget that Michael got sent on a work trip to Winnipeg and he thought that was an exotic place. Going to Quebec City would blow that experience out of the water. I do think it would take quite sometime for him to figure out what exactly a Citadel is.""You Miss 100% of the Shots You Dont take"-Wayne Gretzky"- Michael Scott

Jim Halpert

Jim is someone who is cool but he does try to be cool a little bit too much. Remember he acted like he knew the game of soccer to try to impress his new boss, Charles Miner. That experiment blew up in his face. Jim is a basketball guy and he is most definitely a Philly sports guy, not the horses the city! With all that being said I think that Jim's SMJHL team would be the Detroit Falcons. Now this one is just a guess and Im going off of Detroit being slightly closer to Scranton than Carolina. Detriot is currently in a rebuild which I imagine Jim has lived through with many Philly teams.

Pam Halpert

Oh Pam Pam Pam... I loved pam in the first season but after that it went down hill. Jim did nothing but support her and she made it seem like him chasing his dream for once was the worst thing in life. She is an artistic person and she would most likely try to find a team that would be a good hipster look. At the end of the day this one was easy. Jenna who plays Pam is an Avid St. Louis Blues fan. So I believe that since each actor/actress put their own touch on their characters Pam would be a St. Louis Scarecrows fan. She would wear the Jersey with pride and would be a huge fan!

Creed Bratton

Creed is my favorite character even though he was a most likely a cold-blooded killer. If he would have been fired in the first couple episodes we would have missed him coming to the Halloween party covered in blood while not knowing it was Halloween and "BOBODY". Creed is a man of many weird and strange likes. He would be a fan of the Yukon Malamutes. I imagine he had spent some time in the desolate area of Yukon avoiding the police from his crimes. Creed is one that would like to cheer for some dogs.

Dwight Schrute

Some of these are hard because Im just reaching for something that would relate to someone in Scranton, PA. Dwight is hard because he could like so many of these teams. He would be a Grizzlies fan, would root for the Knights, He would have some history on the Highlanders, the kraken would definitely peek his interests, so this one is very tough. I think at the end of the day he would pick Carolina Kraken. The Kraken is the toughest Sea Creature and is a Scandinavian folklore so he would be all over cheering for that!

Andy Benard

Depending on what season Andy we are talking about, depends on if I like him or absolutely despise him. Him as boss early on was great then he just went down hill fast. Once he was humbled on "America's Next Acapella Star" he became a good person again. I think Benard would be a fan of a team that is boat based. He finally got to sail his dads yacht! Andy would be an Anchorage Armada fan. He would love to see all the boats and he would come up with some boat melodies for their goal song.

Phyliss Vance

As the wife of Bob Vance, from Vance refrigeration, she would be very careful picking the right team. This team would have to have a slightly wide side but also seem very well tame. Maine Timber I think fits here. They are in a quiet state where she would be able to knit away. They are always in competition and can make their presence known, just like Phyliss did on the party planning committee.

Stanley Hudson

"Pass" would be the first words out of his mouth when asked this question. He would then try to go back to his crossword puzzle before picking a team. I think Stanley would pick the San Diego Tidal. This is the one place that is warm and has access to water. Remember how awesome Florida Stanley was? San Diego Stanley would be even more carefree because he would have to deal with the Florida humidity. He would be in the stands doing his cross word with his side piece.

Oscar Martinez

Oscar would need to pick a team that isn't controversial at all! He is a firm passivist so any violent teams would be a no go. I could see Oscar making a great life in Colorado and loving the outdoors, to a limit! So I think over time he would become a Colorado Raptors fan. He would have all the inaccurate portrayals of the raptors pointed out in a very pointed letter to the the team, if the team asked him to come in and speak face to face about it Oscar would most likely chicken out.

Kevin Malone

Kevin is a huge sports fan, especially in real life. His main love is sweets though. Kevin would most likely pick the Nevada Battleborn as his team because he also knows "what happens in Vegas.... nope sorry, Niagara stays in Niagara." So he would go with Vegas to watch the Battleborn. He would maybe lay a couple bets down on the team because he is now at the point in his gambling recovery where he doesnt need to bet but like if its a sure thing there is nothing wrong with putting a couple dollars down. Let's also not forget that he was also a World Series of Poker winner and this could get him back in since he doesn't have an accounting job anymore.

Angela Schrute

Yes I give her that last name because the last episode finally gave us what we wanted. Angela is a tightly wound person and she is a perfectionist. Lets not forget she passed a 12 pound baby and was back at work a week later! Even though she is a strong person she needs the strong person to be there with her. I think she would pick the Kelowna Knights. They are a rising team this year and she would be very satisfied with their accomplishments.

Meredith Palmer

Meredith is a person who you can call a lot of things, just not a narc! Meredith is one that likes to party and let her hair down. There is no stopping her and she also has a ton of coupons to Outback Steakhouse. Meredith would be a Highlanders fan. Highlanders, in her mind, would be big good looking men in skirts that would love to take her out drinking. She would be making the walk of shame home after every single game. The team chemistry after she is done, would be absolutely trashed but they would all agree they wouldnt want to see Meredith again!

Kelly Kapoor

Kelly would pick a team that she thinks Ryan is going to pick. She would pick Newfoundland Berserkers thinking they were close and that Ryan would think their mascot is cool. She would be very mad to figure out where Newfoundland is. It would be the equivalent of her thinking she was going to Miami and then realizing she is going to the Silicon Valley of the Midwest in Miami Ohio.

Ryan Howard

Ryan would jump at the chance to pick Vancouver once he heard Kelly pick Newfoundland. This would put him as far from her as possible and he would be in the hipster capitol of Canada, Vancouver. He would be sad that he would never be able to see Smokey Robinson since he is such a huge fan and he though Smokey died. Ryan would be like most Vancouver fans and would argue pointlessly that they are Whales and not Whale killers. He would change the subject once you pointed out the Whalers based strictly on definition is: a person or ship engaged in Whale fishing. Dwight would tell him that Whaling is cool and that getting whale blubber is how his farm equipment is run.

Darryl Philban

The cool and collected Darryl Philban would surprise everyone and pick the Great Falls Grizzlies. He would try to catch a Grizzlies game but his softball schedule has hurt his chances of going. He would hate Great Falls when he got there, once he realized that there is absolutely nothing to do there. He would run back to Scranton to be with the gang.

Toby Flenderson

He would pick the Thunder Bay Walleye. I dont know why I fell asleep when he was trying to explain why Chad Flenderson and him like Thunder Bay.

That's the list. This was a whole lot harder once I started to go. i just went on my gut on about half of these. If you are going to debate why a choice is wrong, you will probably win because, some I am probably wrong. I had pictures but it came out to large, now im sad.
