So yeah. It has been a while since my last article. I did ask for you to ask me questions back in the distant past that I would answer, but I have received any questions so I don't really have anything to answer. But it doesn’t really matter. I am happy as a fiddle anyways. The last time I wrote something was back in april. And the time before that was in january. These articles just don't happen whenever it suits people. They happen whenever it suits me.
So if I am not mistaken Tom Pedersen has played in three more seasons since last article. Season 76, 77 and 78. And soon starting on season 79. Tom Pedersen has just signed a new contract. A 5 mil x 3 seasons contract which made Tom very happy. His goal is still the same as before. To play for Calgary Dragons and get to win something. With the new contract Tom Pedersen is going to play for three more seasons at least. Hopefully in Calgary, but as Calgary’s oldest wiener Tom has realised the end is getting closer for each match. And as a perfect sign of getting older Tom wants to look at the past with this article. Back in S65 many players were getting ready and positioning themselves for the huge and upcoming draft of S66. For those that don’t remember the draft list was as following: S66 Draft result 1.) New England Wolfpack - Edward Elric 2.) Montreal Patriotes - Benson Fliorentini 3.) The biggest surprise in this draft was Tom Pedersen being drafted at fourth place overall. Mostly because everybody believed Rikkert Biemans would be picked at that spot, but he had expressed a desire to not be picked by Calgary Dragons as he was a lifetimer there with his former player. He did not wish to be drafted by the Texas Renegades though and it was a huge surprise when they drafted him and then traded him to Montreal. Many players have retired. Maybe too early? But New England Wolfpack, Buffalo Stampede, Edmonton Blizzard and Philadelhia Forgers have had the greatest success with the picks from this draft. Both Emil Egli and Kobliska won the challenge cup in 73. Nikolai Skovgaard and Casey Fantobens won the cup with Buffalo back in 71. Eggward Elric won in 70 and Graj Virrok won a cup with Philadelphia Forgers back in 69. Elric and Eaglesong also won for Edmonton Blizzard in 73m but were not drafted by Edmonton. I guess Matthew Mayhem and Torsten Eriksen were the biggest bust in this draft as I cannot find any information about them in the portal. Personally I was hoping for my linemate Casper Nilsson to be drafted by the Calgary Dragons, but he was claimed by the Chicago Syndicatein the second round. He did not however become a great draft pick as he disappeared like a fart in a basket chair after his junior career. I guess the scouts had done their job. The same with my other team-mates Kody Kochan and Ged Sparrowhawk. I might be doing some more of these in the future. Thinking about gathering stats for each player that have played to some extent in the SHL. Thanks for reading Words: 1032 |
