Yo there are some weird ass phobias out there. Arachibutyrophobia, for example, is the fear of peanut butter sticking to the roof of your mouth. Sesquipedalophobia? Fear of long words. And why the hell would you make that word so long? Seems mean. Leopold Lockhart doesn't have any weird ass phobias. He does have one pretty common one, though. Arachnophobia, fear of spiders. When Leo was a kid, he watched the movie Arachnophobia at a sleepover and he's hated those eight legged monsters ever since. Did you know that brown recluse spiders like to hide in shoes? Imagine sticking your foot in a shoe and getting bitten by a spider whose venom destroys human tissue. Absolutely horrifying. This is why Leo always shakes his shoes out before putting them on. Black widow spiders like to hang out in garages. This is why Leo lives in an apartment. He's not taking any chances. And if he does find a spider in his home? Well, I guess it's time to move. Burn the house down on the way out.
