I think you're right in a sense. There are people who would use it, and others who wouldn't. However, when looking at the league, the whole point of running test sims and trying out different builds is to see what works best to get winning results. Whether that is through optimal line combinations or through tinkering player builds, everyone's main reason for doing such a thing is to give them something they can use to help their team win. All I'm saying is, there seem to be a lot of people who have come around saying Hamilton deserves to be punished, when in reality, they did nothing against the rules. You cannot tell someone to not redistribute their TPE. Obviously this is a mechanic in STHS that is broken and can be used to help a team win. I just find it laughable that people are so high and mighty when it's not them who found the issue. You can make the case that there are people who would not have used the tactic, but in reality there is nothing wrong with what they did imo. I think if we continue to run STHS now, the league will not be in a great place. There will be no build diversity (not that there was much now, but it'll be worse) and it'll just become boring. Something drastic needs to change. I don't know what that solution is, but I think there is something out there that will solve the SHL's problem. Whether that be in the form of a new update scale, new player archetypes, new sim engine, etc. I don't know, but I think there is an answer out there. There are a lot of great people working hard on getting these solutions for the betterment of the league and I really want them to find something. But for the time being, I find it very funny that people are calling for the heads of Hamilton and anyone who took part in this. If nobody is allowed to have an edge (or to try and find one), then nobody should be allowed to run test sims for their teams. GMs put their lines together and make adjustments game after game. By allowing test sims, you open up this type of environment and the possibility of finding something people don't want discovered. Will this happen? No. However, calling for punishment for Hamilton is so hypocritical to me, it's laughable. |
