Kraken Defense Led by Cuddles Key to Victory

Both defenses really did well in this game holding each other to less than 20 shots each.  The Kraken defense was highlighted by some key plays by up and coming rookie defenseman Ambacas Cuddles with his stellar defense tonight.  Even though he ended up being on the ice for Lligma Broomstick’s goal, he had three shot blocks tonight including two on the same penalty kill.  Cuddles, who is one of the team leaders in plus/minus, also had a couple of jarring hits to break up the Whalers attack.  Ultimately, Carolina’s team defense prevailed and the offense came through in a big way to secure the victory.
