S59 mPT #2 Hockey Cards

I would have to think that one of the older cards will probably get to the Charizard status. It would also have to be a card for a great player, so I would have to say McBride or Jesster

Someone else mentioned players with long names, but I would like to add the prominent defensive defenseman Vili Tuga'tuga'bo'atu who has recently started their career in the SHL. This name is long, but the problem lies in the 's in the last name. Imagine the worth of a card with spelling mistakes portraying a stalwart of a defenseman!

I would probably have to choose one of the original players from the good old days. Or someone who has an award named after themselves. The two that come to mind would be the 1st overall pick in the history of the league or Ron Mexico. I remember Ron Mexico when I was on his team in Winnipeg all those years back and he was super dominant

Thanks to @enigmatic , @Ragnar and @sulovilen for the sexy Signature

I feel like in the future, the person who will have the SHL equivalent of a Charizard card will be Name Redacted. Kid has a weird name which will add to the value and is a sick goalie. Easy choice.

First edition Andrej Doskocil of course. The legendary man, myth and legend is on his last season in the league before retirement. Get your Andrej cards in before it's too late!

Good luck trying to find a Franklin Trey card, bois and gorls. This sub-600 tpe stud was a beast on the dot for the Hamilton Steelhawks. After getting drafted 62nd overall (or something like that) he would go on to help the squad to two Challenge Cups while helplessly inactive. yeet

I think Alonzo Garbanzo would be a the top candidate for this kind of card, the best defenseman all time and one of the best players of the STHS era.

I'm thinking the rarest and most valuable card will be the Delver Fudgeson STHS New England Wolfpack card, because even I forgot that I was on that team. Who would even want that card? It would have to be specially made in a custom order.

Considering how long he played in the league (only 7 years) and the success of his career. The Timo Haas young guns rookie card will definitely be difficult to get your hands on. Anything for Haas will be a struggle. Below is an example of an old-style Haas card:

Two of my good friends that I have made in the SHL have players that are either named after ponies or are ponies. I would like to have first editions of Rainbow Dash and Spitfire to add to my card collection.

Assuming we can only include players that are currently in the league, and no one that has already retired, this is going to be pretty easy for me. Michael Fitted, a fan favorite for his antics, with the skill on the ice to match. There is no reason a Barracuda legend isn't going to be the rarest and most sought after card in the league.

Being too new to the league to know many of the legends of the SHL, my answer is perhaps more general than intended. I think there will be certain series that will prove immensely popular. I would be eager to see the creativity on display, as a series such as top mammals of the SHL is contrasted by the top Fish, Birds, Arthropods, Amphibians, and of course....Reptiles.

My pick for the first rare collectors card would have to be someone like a Jason Visser, he was elite his entire career and retired before he was due.

If we move ourselves a few years into the future, the only answer is of course my own player. Jonathan Granström. In a few years he will be retired and remembered as one of the best players to ever have been in the SHL.

That is a very difficult thing, I believe that there are a lot of great players that could get it so far. Or if we go back a few years there are much more. Some like legendary defender Alonzo Garbanzo.
