Aint that the truth, getting updated once a month and still considered "doing your job right" is cool. I wish i could get paid for phoning it in and only doing my job when people asked me too about 10 times. I have 0 faith that the nuymbers in Seattles accounts are correct.

That said great idea and article @iamslm22

The bank is updated. Everything but 2 teams are less than a week since the last update, with most only a couple days since an update.

Nothing at you, but the last time Seattle was updated before i called out our banker was a month prior to that.

Thanks! And I totally agree. The banker for Texas updates us once a month. In NSFL the bank is updated several times a week. In PBE it's at least once a week.

going inactive is the best way to pad your bank account. Just gotta make sure you get a fat contract before you ghost.

I like this idea.

Yep. Even at his "minimum" for Seattle he was at the top salary bracket and can't negotiate a lower contract in regression. He's bringing in big money every season and not spending a dime.

We could probably change how IFA contracts work eh?

Why tho? They should hit the teams cap just like every other player would for having similar TPE numbers.

Currently they have to be signed to the same amount as their last SHL contract. There are a lot of IFAs who have enormous contracts and are paid way above the minimum based on their TPE. I think they should be subject to the same contract minimums, or their own scale if need be, but having a good IFA sitting and then being auto-retired cause they have a $6m contract is a waste.

I mean, the idea behind what he's saying is that at some point, you're no longer paying that player as someone with similar TPE numbers. With that said, at certain point it would just make sense to drop the inactive instead of paying him $2M+ over his tier, so I don't think it's a necessary change. It polices itself. A "good" inactive is worth the extra money. Once they stop being good? YEET.

EDIT FOR CAVEAT: It makes more sense for low-TPE inactives who were given decent ELCs but never reached that TPE plateau. They wouldn't be used for anything more than fillers, but it really limits GM options in that regard because nobody wants to pay 4-5m for a 500 TPE inactive. But, again, if it doesn't happen, it doesn't happen.

I didn’t realize they had to be resigned to their same contract, I would agree with that being a bit wonky, I could see a possible IFA payment scale or even just paying baseline for their TPE bracket. Or some kind of change, because I would agree that it doesn’t seem eighth that you are forced to lose a good inactive due to contract reasons. That said we could always view it more like a player who just shit the bed later in their career and had to move on to a new league across the pond or something like that.

I'm almost afraid to ask at this point, but do you actually do a forum search for "nobody" every day or just read every post searching for your name?
