One league guy over here. Like I've said elsewhere, no plans to join either of the leagues we've affiliated with here either. I literally get nothing out of this myself.

But there has to be some players in the HO that do benefit from this, or where did the idea of going with these two leagues came up? Also, if the SHL wants to try something new, why not team up with VHL? They have made a lot of progress in short period of time and have new killer updating system.

Well seeing as I'm in HO and PT Director (incoming) and I own both SCOR and SFC... neither have a two-way partnership.  Meaning I promote the activity in other leagues and you sit back and simply enjoy the live sims of racing and MMA with little work, if any at all.

But to comment on the finnish aspect... I'd be more than willing to accept non-english submissions if we have someone on the PT team that can grade a specific language.  I think that is a great idea.
I just fear that soon there wont be any leagues left that take decent amount of effort weekly, going to be like 9 leagues connected to each other and you only need to do PT in one of them. I´m part of both kinds of leagues and I like them for different reasons. Here for example it takes time and dedication to go all the way and for example in SCOR or GOMHL, you don´t have to put as much effort weekly to get the full experience. Both are great.

That is a good idea, especially if there is users who cant speak English so well. Was talking with one Russian user in VHL who had to study English on his own due not being able to study it in school early on. When he joined these sim leagues, took a long time to write the 500 word article in VHL for example, had to even rely on google translator, so getting the help on PT´s for users who cant speak English too well is crucial.

I get it... as I just said in our SHL HO discussion that we are constantly having:

"I mean to be fair I get the arguments... I really do. But this is a trial and in the end we need to decide what the goals are for this. It bothered me Ruutu mentioning motives that I feel were directed my way... I haven't pushed for inclusion of SCOR or SFC as the owner of both and had no plans to. Yeah, personally, it would be great to claim a PT for the content made on both of those sites, but my priority is the health of this league. It's a conflict of interest and in the position I am here, SCOR/SFC won't ever come into our discussion."

Just for some transparency here.

If I´m honest, I have no idea who is in the HO, only now that you replied to me I remembered that I saw you mentioning something about joining HO and how the recent Seattle punisment was your first or something along those lines Tongue SHL HO should keep that bolded part as their golden rule, that is the job after all - work on ways to make SHL a better place. Not trying to save the whole sim league community and try to find ways to bring as many people into all the leagues as possible.

Somewhere the idea of adding the baseball/football leagues came in, I´m surprised if it came from user(s) who are not part those leagues and even more surprised if the idea did not get support from users who are not part of those leagues.

This is something people need to think about. Very good point

Yeah, I kind of found it baffling that they wouldn't let me claim my PBE PT on their weekend 2-tpe PT. Wasn't trying to claim it twice or anything, just not used to that weird PT window on NSFL.

why would it be wrong to feel like the SHL is the best league? I see nothing wrong about that type of pride in a place where you put allot of time and effort in. I would suspect that for a portion of members here that type of pride would motivate them to take a policy making jobs to help move the site forward or to spend a portion of there time to make sure that the site migration was a success or to keep themselves away from other leagues and focus there best work here to give the SHL that high level activity and distinctivness. We shouldnt put down those members that consider the SHL the best SIM in the land, those members will be on the front line when we need something done that takes more then the casual member.

We mean that in as people who think the SHL is too good to cooperate with other sim leagues.

SHL has been running a lot longer than PBE and NFSL, why is it wrong to ask PBE and NFSL to stay on their lane and keep working on their own product instead of trying to find shortcuts? Some have mentioned that the PT´s are actually easier here than in PBE and NFSL. Does that not sound a lot like users in PBE/NFSL try to make SHL to be a league they can do their weekly PT´s in with less effort and also at the same time force their league down the throats of users in SHL? 100% win win for them, but I fail to see how SHL as a league benefits from this.

If it´s true that SHL PT´s are easier, why did the SHL take part in this? If people want to join hockey sim league and SHL, they will join in. No need to add cooperation like this with PBE and NFSL.

There's a fine line between have actual pride for your league (like you) and actively trying to talk down towards other leagues.

Where does the line go? Wrong to suggest that other leagues should not try to sneak into SHL just to spit on top of all the hard work done by so many members over the years. Getting to the top does not just happen like that, only natural that other leagues want to come in and try to get their slice off the pie. Why do something ´hard´ when you can find a way to get the rewards without actually doing the ´hard´ part.

Do you think they will stop here? Soon we will hear news how writing articles in some other league can be claimed as money on SHL. Eventually the hassle of having to update on multiple sites is too much and we will all move under one roof, imagine all sports together in one place - how many news users we will have? Maybe even add some ads on the site, who does not love casino ads?

You're literally missing the point entirely.

Edited for clarity.

How the fuck is a PT link finding a shortcut, you do realise that each of those leagues recruit themselves right? On forums, reddit, discords , whatever the fuck you name it. There's a sizable amount of people who are members of both leagues or even all three of the leagues who benefit from this. As well as the opportunity to get people active on either of the three sites who might have went IA due to workload or boredom. You said "some people have mentioned", so your entire point is based on the opinion of people, with no research into it yourself. You don't know jackshit about the PT's in any other league that you're not in, sO sTaY iN yOuR lAnE.

Who the fuck is forcing the league down your throat, nobody is forcing you to do anything. Don't join the fuckin leagues if you don't want to good lord. If you fail to see why the SHL benefits from this after the testimonies of tens of people in this thread including this detailed post to set you straight, then it would take a physical miracle to get you some clarity.

I agree with you man, but I guess I'm not down with be handed free TPE for doing a 3rd of the work. Just funny how leagues have coincided with out PT affiliation sense the start of the internet. Yet we must now deepend on 2 self admitted struggling leagues.

I like to work for my reward and because of the work I put in. I have more than a fleeting attachment to my player.

Just gonna throw something out here since it has come up a few times. The NSFL PT no longer closes on saturday, it was changed to sunday with the ppt rework I did recently. The PT link will be great for all leagues involved and will help hold members that participate in multiple leagues. I get that there are concerns, but each league has members that the other leagues do not, and by linking together people are more likely to join new leagues and try new things, increasing activity for everyone involved.
