The whole "going 100% in no tolerance" rule probably didn't need to happen. Giving someone a tag when you update them saying "hey just so you know there was a rule change, we'll let it slide this week but next week be sure to track your capped tpe" would have probably been the diplomatic approach that is not a slippery slope at all but I guess the iron fist approach was a way to go with it.

This is frustratingly simple.
HO / Head Updater should have done a soft enforcement for the first week in retrospect.
People who had their updates skipped shouldn't complain but instead have asked their updater go back in and reupdate once they had made the PT cap adjustment.
Throwing stones at people for something so small is petty, yes both arguments have valid points made, but the time it took you to type a single retort, was more than enough time to change the update and ask the updater nicely if they could go back and check the adjustment.
I think the rule change should have been a seperate topic as it was moreso distracted by my suspension
