What was each of your BEST Christmas gifts?

Reading the discussion about the Hall of Fame got me thinking ... does Bananas Foster deserve a nod? I left long before I retired and I didn't read into anything around the 7 Turd Ferguson Awards, modern era record in PIMs, 300 hits in a season ... but does any of that matter? SHOULD any of it matter? As two fans of hits, I've assured myself that you are the penultimate authority--next to the committee themselves, of course. Don't think for a second I'm asking for a circle jerk. This is a legitimate question.

How have your NYE/NYD plans changed, for better or worse, through the years? Do you have any traditions?

When should I be taking Slappy McDoodle in fantasy? A season or 2 from now? Or maybe a late round this season.

Will Slappy ever do more than pop into discord and say one line and leave? Because i'd love to have chat with this dude.

Also, seeing as this will be answered after new years i imagine, how's the start of 2019 been?

Thoughts on having either strength or checking as weakness? I have scoring as my weakness right now, but I'm debating on changing it to one of those two.

Also it seems that Esa's last big push before retirement may be goal #500. Do you think he can do it this season? Only needs 5 goals in 30 (now 26) games but is in a bit of a slump (slump may be over by the time of the podcast).

QUESTION 1, with a lot of preamble: The SMJHL has a long history but doesn't have any particular way to capture or reward career success. End of year awards help put together a pattern of success and build a resume, but there's nothing chronicling the best players in the history of the league. SMJHL also has a unique build limitation, capping at 350 TPE and forcing the players to make hard build decisions. That said, it's tough to build a body of work when top players get two to four seasons of play and inactivity is rewarded with a fifth season to put up numbers. Considering all this, do you think there's a place for an SMJHL Hall of Fame, independent from the SHL Hall?

QUESTION 2: SHL is expanding to 16 teams. SMJHL just made an expansion to ten teams last season, to accommodate a record draft class. Do you think the two SMJHL expansion teams will survive when the two SHL expansion teams could cause as many as 40 call-ups?

QUESTION 3: Speaking of expansion teams, we've all heard the ceaseless speculation and hot takes on SHL expansion sites, and I'm gonna make you talk about it too. Where wouldn't you put an SHL team?
