Wait I get it now, yeah I can start working on this today

I've read it a few times I still don't understand. Lol

He just wants something that creates a new update thread. The new thread would contain useful things like the update scale, a link to the update assistant, how to link claims, an example of correct formatting, etc.

Yeah it'll probably make scouting harder, but hopefully it increases rookie retention

Ah I see. Could probably search is an update thread exists via SQL and if not create a new one in the unassigned area

That would stop non-new users from using the tool. Maybe that's a good thing...

well, i was thinking the tool could add your output to the person's current update page. my thinking is that they'd want to use your tool by default since it'd be easier.

Oh so you're thinking of having them both as one thing. I was thinking of them being entirely separate, but it make sense to just add the functionality to this instead.

yeah, could just be separate buttons to keep it simple, too. i just figure the only difference is one would create a thread and the other would add to a current one. the content would still be same.

Looks like the file may not have uploaded. Still seeing the old js file after clearing my cache.

Ah, that makes this fun... looks like js files are cached by cloudflare. I purged the cache but will have to either do the same each time we make an update or move your js code into the template itself (which is what I had to do for the create a player form).
