S52 WFT #2 - All Star Team
#16

C- Lil Manius
W- Philipp Winter
W- Andreas Kvalheim
D- Charlie Schieck
D- Ensio Kalju
G- Cedric Robinson

For the forward and defenseman, I had the condition that the chosen players need to play on their team first line or first pairing and I pick the players that I think are the best from there. For the goalie, I pick the player who is leading in the two main stats for goaltender (%SV and GAA).

C: Monkey D. Luffy Stampede
W: Nick Brain Jets & Alex Winters Rage
D: Poopity Scoop Stampede & Charlie Schieck pride
G: Markus Tegernako Chiefs

I'm only here so I don't get docked for points.

Tegernako is there to limit people calling bias (who cares?), but Tegernako is playing well for a dumpster fire team that hopefully will turn a corner under @SpartanGibbles once he changes that awful name. Cedric Robinson is putting up good numbers, but he's IA also, and I don't fuck with IAs for awards. Miss you grok lobster :(

Scoop is putting up stupid great numbers for the best team in the Eastern Conference. Scheick is doing similar things for the current Western Conference leader. Brain and Winters are homies; sarmo can continue to hold is lifelong L.

C - Monkey D Luffy  Stampede
Currently at 1479 TPE, the Season 46 draftee is bringing up 25 points off of 8 goals and 17 assists with a +/- rating of 8 so far this season.

RW - Terrance Nova  Jets
Although on the decline at 889 TPE, this Season 32 veteran from Winnipeg still knows how to contribute at 12 goals, 11 assists for 23 points with a +/- rating of 11.

LW - Flacko Lagerfield  Steelhawks
The first of two Hamilton players on my all-star team, the Chi-Town native and Season 41 draftee boasts a TPE total of 1551 points and is running 20 points on the season:  11 goals, 9 assists and a +/- rating of 9.

LD - Akashi SixNine  Steelhawks
The second Hamilton player on the team, Season 47 Draftee SixNine is boasting 1021 TPE and, while not a scoring machine only having 1 goal so far on the season, the true defenseman has put up 16 assists to the rest of the Hamilton squad and garnering a +/- rating of 10.

RD - Guy Zheng  Wolfpack
Season 46 Draftee Zheng harbors 1398 TPE points which I'm sure he allocates well.  According to the numbers, this offensive defenseman has posted 5 goals and 16 assists for 21 points this season and a +/- rating of 8.

G - Tibuk Soonika  syndicate
This Canadian "Made Man" had to have a spot on my fantasy team.  As my goalie coach in Anaheim, and the man who's records in Anaheim I'm trying to beat, it only made sense.   This season so far, Tib has posted up a 12-8-2 record with a .918 save percentage and 2.84 goals against average.  While not the most TPE in the league at 1125 points, his performance thus far places him in the elite echelon of goaltending in the league.

All of these individuals go against most of the status quo of other fantasy teams being posted here.  Each of them is a point leader in their own right, and their +/- rating reflects it.  When each one of them on the ice, something positive gets done.

CENTER
Goku Muerto Jets - Looking at the leaderboard, Goku has some competition in points among centers. However, Luffy and Scarn from Buffalo are both listed as a centers but play most of their time on the wing. As for Muerto, in addition to leading all centers in points with 25 in 22 games played, he is also 6th in the league in FO% while playing big minutes on both special teams units.

WING
Lyndis Vakarian  Stars - Vakarian has scored a league leading 13 goals and registered 11 assists (24 points) in his 22 games this season. He's played a hair under 20 minutes a night but plays on both the power play and the penalty kill. Vakarian's strong season is a big reason that Toronto has found themselves to be a surprising contender for a playoff spot after being a lottery team last season.

Collin Gibbles  Chiefs - This was the toughest call on the list so far. Brain and Nova from Winnipeg are having fantastic seasons but Gibbles gets the nod by playing on both special teams units for his club and is arguably more important to Minnesota than either of the Jets forwards. Gibbles has 22 points in 22 games this season (9 goals/, 13 assists) while playing over 23 minutes a night!

DEFENSE

Poopity Scoop  Stampede - Hard not to give the nod to the SHL leader in points by a defenseman. In addition to being tied for his team lead in points with 25, Poopity has been a wrecking ball in the defensive end with 99 hits which is good for 2nd in the league. Scoop also plays on his team's top Power Play Unit as well as top Penalty Kill unit. A true two way defenseman.

Nikolai Evans  Barracuda - For the second defensive spot, I wanted to go a different direction than just picking the next highest point scorer. Evans plays nearly 26 minutes a night including top pair minutes and is critical to his team's special teams play. Evans plays a clean defensive game. He's only spent 6 minutes in the penalty box despite logging heavy minutes against opposing teams' top lines. In addition to his defensive play, Evans has contributed 5 goals in 9 assists so far this season and is third in the league in blocked shots.

GOALIE

Cedric Robinson Stampede - Robinson leads the league in both Save% (0.920) and Goals Against Average (2.50) while facing the 8th most shots in the league (660) and the 6th most minutes in goal (1,270). Robinson's play is a big reason his team sits at 3rd in the East and his 14 wins are 2nd in the league.

I have no idea who is even in the SHL so I just picked six players I know and hopefully they are not bad players. Yes, they are all Swiss.

C - Slap McShotty
W - Lallo Selman
W - Elijah Jones
D - Noah Tedla
D - Mathias Seger
G - Markus Tegernako

C- Luke Thomason (MAN)
W- Lyndis Vakarian (TOR)
W- Nick Brain (WIN)
D- Poopity Scoop (BUF)
D- Charlie Schieck (SFP)
G- Cedric Robinson (BUF)

Each of these guys are having a great season and I am really looking forward to their production on the ice as we head into the 2nd half of this stretch. Good luck all and may the hockey bless and guide you.

C - Aaron Wilson
LW - Lyndis Vakarian
RW - Philipp Winter
D - Charlie Schieck
D - Guy Zheng
G - Cedric Robinson

I focused mostly on production in this one and steered away from grit. This team is built of speed and skill and less so on hits and physicality.
As for the goalie I just picked the guy with the shiniest save percentage and goals against average.

C-Goku Muerto: Most complete center right now. He is also not shy from playing the hitting and grinding game.
W-Cameron Carter II-Two way forward that excels at both side of the game. Can put up points and hits.
W-Andreas Kvalheim-Another two way forward like cameron carter.

My forwards are picked so that they can land bone shattering hits, tiring the opponents, while also being able to capitalize on opportunities and scoring them important goals.

D-Poopity Scoop. Interest name and more of an interesting player. He excels everywhere. Just take a look at his hits
D-Nikolai Evans-Complements Scoop very well. Although he refrains from hitting, he is everywhere on the ice blocking all the shots.

Defense focuses on shutting down the opponents.

G-Geezus Kryyst. Interesting name and one of the best save % goalie in the league.

For my all star team, I'm picking the following:

Center - Mikhail Lokitonov
Wing - Mika Kandinsky
Wing - Nikolaj Mueller
Defense - Lyle Odelein III
Defense - Charlie Serpe
Goalie - Harry Carpet

Obviously the chemistry between Mika and ML is pretty formidable so that is an obvious pairing for an all star lineup. Then, I want to play with my Crow boi Mueller so he's an obvious choice for the chemistry and skill there. Lyle and Charlie are also old crow teammates and I just really want to play with them again. Not to mention, they are studs.

Harry Carpet gets the nod in net because I know how good he is and he's my teammate on the Stars. Also he's got the best name in hockey.

This might not be an obvious lineup for an all star team, but when you put this group together on the ice you'll be seeing nothing but stars.

The Unemployed Elders

C - Mikael Talo
RW - Yuriy Starkonov
LW - Randy Randleman
D - Zander Rhys
D - Clint Eastwood
G - Coren Volden

I felt like making my All-Star team out of the oldest free agents in the SHL. Any opposing team would have no choice but to respect their elders!

We see a lot of buffalo here, but that just be the way it be. Buffalo is at the top of the food chain and they have the best players at every end of the rink. There are a lot of top players but i see these 5 as the best in the business right now.

The best team in the league is easily the Edmonton Blizzard. Based on that I think you should pick the best players from the best team and they should be the all star team.

W - Viktor Marius
W - Andreas Kvalheim
D - Poopity Scoop
D - Rex Kirkby
G - Hamilton Steelhawks

For my all-star team I picked some of the best fantasy players in SHL. 4 of the 5 skaters average 4+ hits so I expect this team to play a physical style of game.
