To be fair, in the history of the league, we have never had punishments for low tpe overages like the max he had was I think 4 in one of them. That kind of thing is just a simple correction.

Also to be fair, by precedent it took over 50 tpe of cap adding errors to get 10 games before.

Also to be fair, this is playoffs vs regular season.

Shall I continue with your "fair"?

I would like a name of who requested this audit. While it was good that it was caught, and I'm not disputing that, I would dare you to tell me with a straight face this league isn't spiteful and looks for every edge. If an audit is requested, I think it should be public knowledge because for some, I'm sure it's tactical and I have a little birdie telling me someone with a vested interest said they were aware of these issues seasons ago, which if true would mean I have a bone to pick. It's hearsay, but it's troubling.
This is a very random conclusion to come to, and a very serious allegation if true. But also, what's the issue with someone who doesn't like someone calling for an audit? If they update correctly they don't end up getting punished and there's nothing to see there, so regardless of the cause of this audit the result is finding wrong doing. Legit, who cares if there's malice behind asking for an audit if there'a actually problems with their TPE count?

But I'm just here to try and get on a team thread finally.

Yeah good point, that kind of mindset reminds me of the stigma around whistle blowing

If the "whistleblower" allegedly knew about this for several seasons and only just now reported it because it was convenient then i think that's a problem, but rules are broken every day without being reported so i don't really care lmao. People finna be spiteful

Damn, heavy punishment.
Can't help but feel as if this should've been caught sooner by the updaters and discussed with the offending party prior to this.

It's entirely possible that it was a domino effect, starting with a single overage and compounding into large overages throughout the seasons.
I'd love to see some proof that this was malicious intent and not just a day of bad math that turned into a prolonged problem for someone who made a mistake.
Another part of me thinks that this is just as much on the updaters who never bothered to check his gains at all over the course of the problem. Dude was 16 TPE over on
a 2100 TPE player. That's not even a 1% overage and stands to not even improve a single core stat on his build by one point. Rough, man.

Makes me feel insecure as a new user that I may be doing something unintentionally wrong currently, only for it to bite me in the ass in the future.

You Rang?

Going to go with something simple that I made recently as a poor single man on a budget. I have a fancy version of this, but times are tough and I haven't been able to make a lot of unique nice stuff lately. But this is an old standby that will make some good eating for a while and it's easy to just store in the fridge and have a bowl when you get hungry.

This is my personal Tater Tot Casserole

Ingredients:

32 oz of Tater Tots(you can make your own or just use store bought. Hashbrowns/fries/small chunks of potato work as well)
1 Vidalia Onion
4 Green Onions
1 Green Bell Pepper
12 oz of Sweet Corn(basically a can of it)
3 Cloves of Garlic
8 oz of Shredded Mild Cheddar Cheese
6 oz of Shredded Parmesan Cheese
6 oz of Ricotta Cheese
6 oz of Sour Cream
10 oz of Chorizo
8 oz of Ground Italian Sausage
Salt/Pepper to taste

What You Need:

9x12 Casserole Dish
Cutting Board
Chef's Knife
Large Mixing Bowl
Large Skillet/Sauce Pan
Slotted Spoon
Wooden Spoon/Spatula (for stirring things in the pan)
Rubber Spatula
Stove/Oven
Aluminum Foil(Not needed if you have a lid for the casserole dish)
Timer/Clock

Directions:

1. We are going to start by prepping the veggies. First empty your tater tots into the mixing bowl to thaw out. If they are already thawed out, disregard the need to wait. We are doing this so they are softer when we will add the other ingredients. Also pre-heat your oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit.

2. Next core and remove the seeds/pith from the Green Bell Pepper using the Chef's Knife on the cutting board. Chop the Green Bell Pepper into small 1/4 inch pieces. Follow this by peeling and chopping the Onion and Green Onion into similar sized pieces. Add the Green Onion to the mixing bowl. Finally mince the garlic into small pieces. Keep the Bell Pepper, Onion, and Garlic ready.

3. Heat your Skillet/Sauce Pan on medium-high heat. Once heated add your Chorizo and Italian Sausage. Cook the meat until browned and use the slotted spoon to remove the meat from the fat left in the pan. Add the meat to the Mixing Bowl.

4. In the pan you just browned the meat in, add your Onion, Bell Pepper, and Corn and cook on medium-high to high heat in the fat for roughly 12-15 minutes as you begin to cook off the fat. Add the Minced Garlic after about 10 minutes of cooking. The onions should become translucent and begin to caramelize. Using the slotted spoon, transfer your vegetables to the mixing bowl.

5. Add the Sour Cream, Ricotta Cheese, and Shredded Parmesan to the mixing bowl and begin folding all of the ingredients together with the rubber spatula. Once thoroughly mixed, dump the mixture into the 9x12 casserole dish. Flatten out the surface and top with the Shredded Cheddar Cheese. Cover the top with Aluminum Foil(or use the lid if applicable) and put it all in the 325 degree oven for 30 minutes.

6. Remove from the oven, take off the foil and let sit for 3-4 minutes before serving. I hope anyone who makes this enjoys one of my favorite comfort foods. I don't have a picture of one I made recently as I just finished it all off and forgot to take a picture when I was cooking it.

I feel for Stammer here, just last season I put in a claim for PT #5 because I was looking at what I had and had not claimed for regression, noticed PT #5 and put it in while forgetting I didn't do it. Luckily for me the updater noticed.

If someone were to come auditing later I'm sure that would look malicious even though it was an honest mistake on my part.

As the head updater in ISFL, this is an absolute joke of a punishment. A player is 16 TPE over with capped TPE issues when capped TPE is no longer a thing. The player has 2100 TPE. To punish the player for making a mistake a few times is beyond belief. The updaters are quite literally there to catch mistakes and are fired if they do not. If the updaters are not catching the issues that a player is creating, then the updaters need to be looked at. Assuming that the errors were malicious and detrimental to the league (16 TPE on a 2100 TPE player) is such a reach that even Michael Jordan in Space Jam couldn't make it. Am I to now expect a similar punishment for every single mistake that I make that my updater does not catch? Are we to expect the same punishment for every mistake that anyone in the league makes that an updater does not catch? If we are not, why are we punishing this? Suspension is not even an option for punishment. Sure, take his TPE, fine him an extra 50%, I agree with that. But suspension for 10 games in the playoffs? That's nothing but fishy.

I had an illegal build without knowing about it for quite a while and once it was found out, i messaged the updaters after talking with my GM and i never heard back from anyone. And they just updated me like normal.
