My name is Eric, I live in Portland, Oregon USA, but I grew up in North Carolina. My favorite team is the Hurricanes (obviously). I was a freshman at NC State (hence, the EricNCSU) when the Canes moved to Raleigh and got hooked immediately. It helped that back then, preseason games were free and mid-week games had 5$ student tickets, so in the first couple of seasons I went to at least 20 games a season. Got hooked. I got to meet almost the entire 2006 team and got autographs at the midseason Olympic break, and of course that team later went on to win the Stanley Cup.

Hi! I'm DannyC and I've never actually played Hockey. I did play Lacrosse in high school, and I guess the two sports are sort of like cousins. I played goalie for a team that was just awful so I got a lot of good experience. Anyway nice to meet everyone!

Hi I'm ddrector aka drectors cut on Discord. KnockedOut byOvechkin is my player, I usually just call him Kobo. The name of my player is a reference to the Stanley Cup playoffs in 2019 when the Hurricanes were playing the Capitals and Andrei Svechnikov got in a fight with Ovechkin and got knocked out. As a Hurricanes fan this was a low point in the series, but we ended up winning that series after taking it to game 7. It was awesome to beat the Capitals on their home ice to advance in the playoffs. As a big Svechnikov fan I wanted to commemorate this moment in the series where everyone thought we were gonna fall down and lose, but we forced a game 7 and then won in double overtime. As for SHL I am a forward for the Vancouver Whalers and soon to be for the Tampa Bay Barracudas. I am a GM in ISFL for the New Orleans Second Line and also play outfield in PBE for the San Antonio Sloths.

I'm Aaron Wilson. I play for the Hamilton Steelhawks and I really don't like my FORMER teammate Gabriel Johnson. I've been asking my GM to trade him for seasons and they finally did it this offseason after I threatened to leave. I will be talking about Gone wild Johnson in my PTs a lot because the SHL community needs to know how toxic and racist Gabe really is.

I'm Jimmy Nutcluster and I play the bongo, the banjo, and didgeridoo and your mom. I constantly bake things with my hair in them, on purpose, and give them to my neighbor delilah who lets her dog shit on my petunias. my other neighbor is john goodman and he's a real good man. we get real close in the summer of '69 where he confounded in me that he's really gay and that he's real freaked about it but I said it's ok and anyway we hit it off really well almost too well and since that day we kiss on the daily. my parents gave me up for adoption but trust me if there was a different option that greatly intensified the pain i felt they would have chosen it. my teen years were spent in detroit in a box on the street eating hotdog leftovers by grubby kids who were full by 2 bites. after that, i upgraded to a barrel and i would take a lot of walks, burning off my hotdog fat when i saw a sign for a hockey team that was accepting new applicants. having never played hockey, i new i was the perfect candidate. after i showed up, i showed them my potential and they brought me aboard the team.

Lemo is my first dabble into forum-based sim leagues like this one, although I have played some other hockey manager sims for years now. I was very hesitant when I started out, if I could keep up with things here, since I had just become a father for the first time just about two months earlier and that would likely be taking up the majority of my free time and attention. I was not dead set on max earning then, since I knew it wasn’t going to be easy to find the time to write enough media to earn the necessary cash, but now thanks to two consecutive casino jackpots I have been able to keep up the pace during even the busier times thus far and I hope to continue climbing upwards in my class and in my teams’ depth charts. It has also been fun to experience the locker room camaraderie in both Anchorage and Texas. Perhaps even more time consuming than the league tasks has been just keeping up with the chats there :D

Hey Keenan, I'm JayWhy. I may have something to do with some of the Challenge Cups under your awards banner. I once traded for you in Manhattan and you ghosted. I get it, we were bad then, but I've now made us good and even won a Cup as a GM and am on track to hit 500 wins this season. I was also simmer for 12 seasons and demand a pt pass, please.

I’m mastersheep, or just sheep as most people call me around the SHL. In real life, I have worked as an accountant for more than a decade now, married for almost seven years, and I’m a huge Caps and Nats fan. Watching both of those teams win championships after nothing to show for their efforts in this city for nearly 20 years was extremely rewarding after watching our sports teams choke year after year.

I’m one of the quieter users on the site and generally talk way more on discord in our LR or one of the other various SHL servers I’m in. I started out here thinking I would make a decent player and then I realized how much creative writing I’d have to do and wondered if I’d be able to keep it up. I hadn’t done any creative writing in at least a decade! Then I discovered I’m pretty good at rambling about nonsense as this task will show very well. Also most people don’t know this because I don’t like to brag, but I’m a competitive person by nature and while I might not be the smartest person, I put forth a lot of effort and so far haven’t missed a single PT in the year I’ve been on the site. It’s probably the only reason I’m ahead of many more intelligent users in my class. I’ve been an updater for a few seasons and have been able to max earn largely due to that, but just recently stepped back from doing that every weekend since I just became Baltimore’s new Co-GM. I’ve interacted with so many great users here so far and I’m hoping to have a great career with my player and the awesome people on my team.

Hey I'm Teddy! I joined this site just over a year ago, but it's funny because hockey isn't even my favorite sport! My dad is a massive Bruins fan so I always follow them and the NHL in general, but I'm actually a huge soccer fan -- I support Man City and I follow pretty much all the big leagues in Europe.
