a. Which of these teams has stronger offensive firepower?
b. This is Texas’s first cup appearance since winning it in S36, while Buffalo is recovering from 2 recent final losses to Hamilton. Which team will have a bigger chip on their shoulder entering the finals.
c. Which of these two teams' brandings do you prefer? Take into account colors, logo, name, location, and anything else you consider relevant.
d. Would you rather have to spend a long weekend hanging out in Dallas or Buffalo? What would you do?

a)Statiscally, you have to give the edge to the Stampede as about 70% of their team has outscored the majority of the Renegades through to this point. The Renegades never seem to be known lately for their scorching offense as a whole, and like to play closer games they can control the narrative on, so look for each team to try and exploit it's strengths.
b)Honestly I think Texas will. Buffalo has been here quite a bit recently, so will have that 'experience' on their side, but Texas has something to prove with them always seeming to be discounted as being lesser than the teams from the great lakes division and what a better way to shut the league up than knocking down 2 of the 4 in one playoffs.
c)Seeing as I am a Texas player, I feel obligated to say my own team, but honestly I really like Buffalos so much more. The main reasons being the logo is just miles ahead of Texas and their main colour is my favourite colour of green so it's hard to really go for Texas with those things always lingering in my head when comparing the two.
d)Probably Dallas. Buffalo is low key kind of a shit hole. I have been there and besides maybe getting some legit wings, there isn't a lot to sing home about with their climate and atmosphere you couldn't do somewhere else near by with just a better overall experience. Dallas at least offers something different for someone like myself who is from a frozen wasteland looking to experience some crazy different culture.

1 - Its rich history.

2 - "The purge? Is this not some stupid movie glorifying murder?" bone-crushing defenseman Eero Makela asked. "I do not do purge. If forced to purge, I will remove all pads. I will wear only a jock on the ice, and all will flee in my wake. Part like the Red Seas. Call me Eero Moses. The pads I wear for every game are not for my protection - they are for the protection of my opponents. If I am going to do this purge nonsense, it will start with me purging the ice of all of my competition, as they will run in terror from me. Then, the game is easy. I can score all day, if I want. No goalie for the other team, no skaters for the other team. If anyone dares consider coming onto the ice, all I will need to do is look at them and flex. They will run again."

153

3 - There's suddenly an 18 entity battle royale, but there's no definitive location for the battle. Is it underwater? If so, the Barracuda are the obvious favorites, with the Argonauts a close second. The Inferno have no chance. But what if the battle is in the air? The Steelhawks are likely the runners' up to the Dragons. On land, perhaps the Aurora would win, as they literally are the land. This question is so absurd I'm going to pretend that this battle is taking place in OUTER SPACE, in which case my money is either on Space Dragons or the Phantoms, because I remember playing Super Metroid and Phantoon was a pretty badass miniboss.

Regardless of where the battle takes place, I think the Toronto North Stars lose every time, since they're a building with a weird spiky protuberance. It looks like the building got hit by a missile and is already falling down.

153

5 - The best team to not make the finals is obviously the Calgary Dragons. Experience? Check. Active roster? Check. Willingness to do whatever it takes to win games? Big check. They came up short, of course, or else they wouldn't be an eligible response for this entry, but what was it that held them back? Did they get too tired? Was Otis too distracted by some grandma's mams? Who can really say.

Honorable mention to Hamilton, who have been a pretty consistent squad in my two stints in this league. I definitely thought they had the upper hand coming into the playoffs.

The Purge is a concept where typically illegal things (e.g., robbery, murder) are legalized for one day. In an SHL-purge, there's a game day where everything typically illegal to do on the ice is now legal. No rules for sticks or pads, no penalties, no icing, etc. What will your player do on the ice to make the most of this and gain a competitive advantage?

This scenario would be complete chaos, so why not make it a battle like medieval warfare!  The first thing I would do is get every member of our team out on the ice.  Too many men would be a thing of the past heck why would it stop at all the players dressed!  Bring the scratches down from the press box too and put all the keepers in the net or surrounding the net for true net "battles".  Next you would have to get your biggest guys to charge forward and try to get to their keeper when you have the puck.... break the formation and crush through their defenses.  When they have the puck build a wall along the blue line and brace yourself with sticks wedged into the ice to form a pike formation, don't forget to sharpen the butt end of the sticks for maximum impact and damage.  The winner would end up being the last one standing to put a puck in the net essentially, if anyone was fit to finish the game at all.

If real life versions of all 18 SHL team logos were entered into a fight, which would come out victorious and why? Which would be the first eliminated?

I think picking a winner and a loser out of the team logos might not be far enough as there is one logo that falls out of both of those categories. The Aurora can not be beaten or beat anyone it is literally a wonderful light in the northern skies.  So essentially it neither wins nor loses which is kind of boring in the end.  First place goes to the Dragons having skin thicker than armor and breathing fire there is no other living logo that can beat it.  The one that would come close is the Specter.  It would be unable to be attacked by almost anything but the only one I believe that could find a way too is the Dragon.  the Specter could quite easily possess any other logo so it isn't a contest either.  The loser of the group would be the Monarchs.  They would have to battle themselves in this scenario and I don't think they would cut it vs the other competition without the King's guard beside him.  Most of the other animals and humans have some sort of leg up on him one on one.

d. Would you rather have to spend a long weekend hanging out in Dallas or Buffalo? What would you do?

a.  To me there is no question that Buffalo has the most firepower in this matchup.  They were just short of the league lead in goals for  the entire season and that trend carried through into the playoffs.  Texas could trump this with their league leading defensive unit allowing the fewest goals all season.  It will be a real duel forsure.

b.  Buffalo has had rotten luck in the finals as of late and will want to prevent being a bridesmaid too many times in a row just like their team in the NFL the Bills getting 2nd so often.  I have always thought the longer the drought the hungrier the city and the players will be to get the Franchise the big win while their players are at the top of their game and on the final dancefloor!

c. Buffalo has a great color scheme and their branding is neat and tidy.  The buffalo is an obvious choice as a play on their home and a stampeding herd of Buffalo but they could use a bit more in the logo to symbolize said Stampede.  Texas is the traditional dark color that suits a Renegade but do prefer more color than what is a black and white logo.  I do love the graphic though which for me puts them just over the edge in this one.

d. Each place has a few perks but seeing as I am not playing in the game I would want to go to Texas to enjoy the sun and the dry warm climate for a while.  I would bring the clubs and hit a few golf courses and maybe rent a car and take a drive out to the coast to relax in the sun and surf.  Of course I would also take in the finals to absorb the atmosphere and get ready for the day the Pride make it there!

If real life versions of all 18 SHL team logos were entered into a fight, which would come out victorious and why? Which would be the first eliminated?

The only way we can guess which logo would win if they got into a fight is by looking at them and determining how scary and aggressive, they look compared to the other team’s logo. The logo who would win the ultimate fight is the Calgary dragon logo. The dragon has wings to more around quickly, sharp claws that could hurt everything in his way, eyes that light up and a pointing tail that could probably be used to stab the opponents. I think the Tampa Bay Barracuda logo would be the main contender, since I’ve never seen a fish that is this scary. On the other end of the spectrum, I think the less scary logo and the logo that would get beat by every other one in a fight is the Winnipeg Aurora logo. It’s just a couple of trees and a beautifully colored sky and there is nothing that scream aggressive about it.

Which SHL or SMJHL team was the best team to not make the finals this season and why?

I think the best team to not make the final this season in the SHL is the Hamilton Steelhawks. They were outstanding during the regular season and put out a great fight in the playoffs by having their last series go all the way to seven games. They were a dominant team during the regular season where they finished 10 points in front of their closest follower, and they also had an impressive goal differential of 163 which was 30 more than the second team in the league. This is to say that they were clearly the best SHL during the 66 games sample provided by the regular season and this is why I think they were the best team to not make the final.

I think that the Buffalo Stampede has the stronger offensive firepower between the two teams that are competing in this season’s final. They scored 31 more goals than the Renegades did during the regular season and Buffalo had nine players who ended the regular season with 50 points or more and two guys who got more than 80 points while Texas had six with more than 50 points and their top scorer finished the season with 71 points.

I think the team who has the bigger chip on their shoulder going into the final of this SHL playoffs are the Buffalo Stampede. They have come so close to winning that cup in recent season, but the Steelhawks took those two titles away from them, but this year, Buffalo finally doesn’t have Hamilton in their way and they need to take advantage of this.

SHL is the best because of the Newfoundland LR

3. Written, 3 TPE (150 words min.) If real life versions of all 18 SHL team logos were entered into a fight, which would come out victorious and why? Which would be the first eliminated?
If a real life version of all eighteen SHL team logos were entered into a fight I think the Dragon logo in Calgary would come out victorious. The reason I think this is because first of all a Dragon is absolutely massive and has scales that provide the animal with body armor like no other SHL logo does. Next it is able to fly at extremely high altitudes and can cover a lot of distance really fast meaning it will be hard to attack from the air. Finally most importantly it can breathe down fire that can be super damaging and destructive that can kill any of its opponents with in a matter of moments. In terms of which logo would be eliminated first I am almost one hundred percent sure that it would be the North Stars logo from Toronto. The reason for this is Toronto sports teams usually always lose and also that a star is not really aggressive or can really protect itself.

5. Written, 2 TPE (100 words min.) Which SHL or SMJHL team was the best team to not make the finals this season and why?
The defending Challenge Cup champions Hamilton Steelhawks was the best team to not make the finals this season. They had the same core of players that won it all a year ago with the exception of Michael Scarn and have not been hit hard by regression. The Hamilton Steelhawks had the best record in the regular season, have great forward depth, an outstanding defense probably being the best in the league, and so many high end superstars it is not even funny. If that is not enough they added about a two hundred and fifty tpe upgrade on the wing with SLATT Potts for Alexei Rykov just before the trade deadline which only continued to improve their scary offensive depth.

6. Written, 3 TPE (150 words min.) What's your prediction for this season's IIHF tournament? Which teams do you expect to do well (or not well)? Which players?
Season fifty eight was another disappointing tournament for team Latvia. However it is fair to say the rebuild of team Latvia is pretty much done with a lot of their young players now having unbanked builds. While there is still a little more growing left for this pretty young team, this will be the first time many season that there is an actual chance for this nation to be competitive and maybe make it out of the round robin. I think this will be team Latvia will be the best since the switch to FHM so it will be interesting to see how the management team deploys this group of young talented players. They got a lot of young talent like Mack Daddy, Mats Marner, Chimkin Tendy, Krišs Dārziņš, Asclepius Perseus Flitterwind, Cyanide Balzams, Fleetway and Chris Goodname. I may be a bit biased but I think Mats Marner is poised for a break out tournament as well.

If real life versions of all 18 SHL team logos were entered into a fight, which would come out victorious and why? Which would be the first eliminated?
Alright, so I mapped this out and created pods of 3 teams, alphabetically, for the first rounds. Each team would face off in round robin with the other two in their group. First up, Atlanta’s phoenix burns through the eagle of BAP and eeks out the stampeding Buffalo buffalo. Then, in Group 2, the steelhawks fall to the wily mob bosses from Chicago, but the criminals get fucked by an angry bull from Manhattan. Finally in Group 3, Toronto is dropped immediately (what is a North Star? What can it do? Nothing!) and the barracuda fights a pack of wolves… unfortunately the pack of howling maniacs makes short work of the fishies. In the Eastern Finals, Manhattan, Atlanta, and New England face off. The raging bull is tough, but a group of wolves hold their own and get the kill. None of this matters when a fire bird supernova turns them all into crispy dinner. Atlanta moves on to the finals.

In the West, Groups 4-6 match up. In Group 4, Edmonton’s fennec fox and LAP’s panther can’t match up with a GD full grown red dragon. He burns them and burns them bad. Calgary moves on. Second up, Group 5 sees creepy ghosts from down in the bayou country haunt a king and a pride of lions. The lions eat the useless king and then get scared off by spooky ghosts. NOLA moves on. Finally, the battle hardened warriors of Seattle’s Argonauts faces off with a new criminal element, some renegade cowboys down in Texas. One side has guns, but the other is an elite fighting force. I give the edge to Seattle, though it is a pretty even fight. That winner moves on, because an Aurora can’t do anything. In the West finals, the mighty Argonauts and spooky ghosts can’t do a thing to, again, a full grown red dragon.

The finals sees two mythical creatures: a phoenix (ATL) and a dragon (CGY) face off. I had to go to the D&D 5e monster manual. An adult Phoenix is a CR 10 monster with 107 hit points and a flying speed. It's a tough customer with an immunity to fire. An adult red dragon, however, is a CR 17 monster with 256 hit points, and also a scary flying speed. Both are immune to fire, but the dragon has so much more pure damage to drop the phoenix. While the phoenix can revive, it will struggle against the fear effect of this massive dragon, and Calgary will already have claimed victory by the time the battle.

Which SHL or SMJHL team was the best team to not make the finals this season and why?
The answer is Hamilton and it’s unfortunately not even close. Hamilton finished up their third straight 100+ point season and their 3rd President’s Trophy in the last 4. Theo Morgan had the league’s first 100-point season in the FHM era, as the Steelhawks tore through the league. They faced off in a tight 7-game series with the best of the West, Texas Renegades, and fell just short of their fourth straight Challenge Cup Finals appearance. Hamilton had the best offense in the league with 308 goals scored, were 2nd with 145 goals against, and the best goal differential of +163. They were all around dominant, and certainly shocked everyone when they fell just short.

To some, an interesting part of sports leagues is following celebrity fans (like Jack with the Lakers or 50 Cent with the Knicks last week) - who would be some relevant SHL celebrity fans? Which well-known celebrities would be superfans of which SHL teams?
I think the most notable celebrity fan of the SHL would have to be Tom Brady. For a long time he donned the red and black of the Calgary Dragons, because they always won and he shares the out-of-touch politics of that franchise’s faces. In recent years, he had to respect the game of the Hamilton Steelhawks; like Brady’s Patriots, they broke the league and feel no shame at doing whatever it takes to win. Plus, with them constantly winning, Brady loves it.

Beyond that, believe it or not, Macklemore is a huge hockey fan, and loves to see the Seattle Argonauts doing good stuff. He doesn't make it to every home game, but he tries to attend 10ish a season, and has even been known to stop in while Seattle's on the road during his tour schedule.

b. This is Texas’s first cup appearance since winning it in S36, while Buffalo is recovering from 2 recent final losses to Hamilton. Which team will have a bigger chip on their shoulder entering the finals.
I think that both teams have huge chips on their shoulders. Buffalo feels they have been overshadowed and hated league wide as part of the mythic Great Lakes dynasty run. Since the last expansion, they haven’t been able to find much success in the finals. With Hamilton not on the other side, they might feel this is their chance. On the other side, Texas has slowly but surely built a force in the West that has largely been overlooked and discounted as “less than” the Great Lakes monstrosity. They broke through, killing the evil Hamildragon, and made the finals. They feel the weight of the rest of the league behind them, hoping to stop the Great Lakes streak. I think Texas has the bigger chip, after being told “you aren’t as good because you don’t have to fight the GL.”

1. SHL is good because it is good. +3 3 TPE

3. The SHL has many different crazy and wild representing mascots of our illustrious teams. We have a boat with an eye in Seattle, a magnetic storm in Winnipeg, A bull in buffalo, a bull in Manhattan, a wolf in Edmonton, a wolf in New england, a ghost in New Orleans, an Eagle in Baltimore, A king in Minnesota, a real life dragon in Calgary, a Lion in San Francisco, a Celestial being of a star in Toronto, a....guy? in Chicago, a fire bird in Atlanta, a cowboy in Texas, a barracuda in Tampa, and last but not least, a steel bird in Hamilton. I have my money on the actual star, as it would simply consume every other mascot. The ghost might not get consumed, but the star would still kick its ass. Outside of the star, I have my money on the steelhawk because its made of medal and will simply dive bomb any other thing. Maybe the dragon would be hard. I don't know. Go birds. +3 6 TPE

6. Team Canada is probably gonna win another trophy. I would say gold, but FHM hates repeat winners, I was pretty shocked we went back to back last season. It might finally be time for the United States to actually do something and win a medal, but probably not. I am Canada's fed-head so I am of course biased in thinking we'll win, and we probably will. It kinda sucks because it takes the allure out of winning when everyone hates you and you just win every season. I have been told the grass is always greener, but it kinda seems like Canada has ruined the entirety of IIHF in the past decade. Whatever, I believe in Roastpuff and I know he'll figure something out to make things lit again. He's a smart cat and he's done a good job so far organizing things you know? Go roastpuff man, he's the goat. Oh yeah well I think Canada will win, to answer the prompt. +3 9 TPE

a. Which of these teams has stronger offensive firepower? +4 13 TPE

This one goes to Buffalo, I don't really think its a debate. Luffy is a shooter, the entire defense can score at will on Buffalo, I think they have Texas in terms of offensive talent and scoring ability. Scoring ability isn't everything, but if you can't score, you can't win. I think defense will be the end all be all of this series when it comes down to it.

b. This is Texas’s first cup appearance since winning it in S36, while Buffalo is recovering from 2 recent final losses to Hamilton. Which team will have a bigger chip on their shoulder entering the finals.

Buffalo for sure. The fact that this is seen as a free series for them after Texas' confusing upset against Hamilton will make them nervous, and I think they'll pull it out at the end. Texas is playing for fun at this point, and are just there to experience it I think. They're a young team and riding the high of the first real giant upset in FHM history.

c. Which of these two teams' brandings do you prefer? Take into account colors, logo, name, location, and anything else you consider relevant.

Probably buffalo for me. Texas has a cool color scheme, but I feel like its a pretty basic logo layout. Buffalo has funky colors and they really make it work, with their logo having a lot of references and cool stuff. If Texas maybe added more silver instead of gray to their logo, and added a tertiary green or red they'd be a lot more dope, but I understand that they are really old as a franchise so they don't want to ruin that historic look they have.

d. Would you rather have to spend a long weekend hanging out in Dallas or Buffalo? What would you do?

Dallas. For sure. Buffalo sucks, the only thing there is the Bills and they suck. I already live in Maine, why would I want to spend a weekend in Maine v2. Give me Dallas and 10 gallon hats and just all the meat you can imagine. That sounds so nice. Texas is scary but I think as long as you're in a big city its fine. No rattlesnakes or scary guys. I'd like to get some brisket right now as I'm writing this. I'm hungry and it really sucks. Send me to Dallas.

What would you do?

a. I think Texas have the stronger offensive power, even though Buffalo Stampede had the higher point totals during the last couple of regular seasons. But when you look at Texas's depth, and their scoring depth, they can score everywhere down the lineup. Even their defensemen are scoring in bunches, as 4 of their defenseman scored over 10 goals.

b. I think texas has the biggest chip on their shoulder. Since they are representing the western teams, since NOLA went to the finals in S55, Texas has something to prove against the great lakes. They also have over 20 seasons of not making the finals, and a very long playoff drought, Texas has the most to prove. They need to win now and get the cup.

c. I really do prefer the Texas Renegades Logo's over the Buffalo Stampede's logo. Even though both logo's are really good, some of the best in the league, I prefer the Renegades. I think I prefer the most western type of logo, I like its an homage to the raiders logo in which they ripped the logo from, but its also for texas. It fits better in the Texas theme than buffalos in Buffalo.

d. I would 100% hang out in Dallas than buffalo. Who wants to go to Buffalo? What do they have? Cold? nothing really to go to. Dallas, its nicer weather, as well as great food. When you need to get food from either Dallas Or Buffalo, I would choose Dallas 10/10 times every single day of the week. Its nothing personal against Buffalo... actually it is

Which SHL or SMJHL team was the best team to not make the finals this season and why?
The team that should have made the finals and couldn’t quite get there is the Hamilton Steelhawks.  It really looked like they would make their fourth straight finals appearance, but after losing a Game 5 heartbreaker in overtime, the Texas Renegades showed up strong in Games 6 and 7 to reach their first finals appearance in the FHM era.  The Steelhawks won the President’s Trophy this season, amassing an incredible 56-9-1 record along with the #1 ranked offense and #2 ranked defense in the league so many thought it was a given that this team would not only reach the finals, but win another Challenge Cup.  Not only that, but we saw a career year from Theo Morgan, who became the first SHL player to break 100 points in a season and should easily be this season’s MVP.  Instead, the Steelhawks are heading home.

What's your prediction for this season's IIHF tournament? Which teams do you expect to do well (or not well)? Which players?
As always, I expect my own team to do well. Team USA has always been good in group stage, but hasn’t been able to put it together in the medal rounds these past several tournaments. While the loss of Phineas Gold will hurt, the team overall is in much better shape for this season and for the future. I expect Canada and Great Britain to be solid as always and Team Germany should also be up there to give the USA fits. As surprising as Russia was last tournament, I don’t expect that to happen this season as they have found themselves in the same group as Czechia, USA, and Great Britain, but perhaps they could sneak past Switzerland for the fourth spot. Group A actually interests me much more as I don’t think anyone is really set there except for Canada and Germany. I personally think anyone has a shot at the last couple of seeds in that group aside from maybe Ireland.

Brogen is looking to go a little off the wall with his cheating and trying to test out something for his future beer league career. In order to do it, planning will need to be made well in advance, and several scientists working around the clock in order to innovate some equipment. The whole gig will be centered around a stick with the capability to use a magnet type effect to rubber. This will be attached to a switch that Brogen can carry in order to allow the puck to be released when it's time to score. This stick will also have a memory coating that will cause anyone who is not Brogen who touch it to be shocked mercilessly. Otherwise, it will allow for Brogen to have unparalleled control of the puck at all times in order to dip and dodge around the entirety of the opposing teams. With this, Brogen will be able to ensure that he puts up some massive numbers, and ensure that his team gets the victory.

If real life versions of all 18 SHL team logos were entered into a fight, which would come out victorious and why? Which would be the first eliminated?

While I would love to be able be able to give it to my current team of the Dragons, I think we have to go ahead and give it to the Atlanta Inferno. The Phoenix is a historied mythological creature that is known for it's ability to to continually rebirth it self in flames. With this, I think any other mascot in the league will have trouble trying to get rid of it permanently. With this ability it will be able regenerate again and again while taking down all the others bit by bit as they fail to match the awesome regeneration power of the Phoenix.

In terms of first one to go, I'm going to have to go with the Barracuda. Unlike the others, it is restricted to one environment only. If any of the other mascots gets it out of the water, it will not survive long

What's your prediction for this season's IIHF tournament? Which teams do you expect to do well (or not well)? Which players?

I think it's always tough to expect anything other than greatness from Team Canada. Again this season it's looking like they're going to have an absolutely stacked roster. Headed up by some of the SHL's top scorers such as Theo Morgan, they promise to come out with a high-powered full frontal attack from their forwards. They will be going into the tournament with the two top scorers in the SHL and countless players who had strong seasons and led their clubs to be the best that they could be through the whole season. While we definitely can talk up the forwards for years and years as one of the strongest cores ever to grace the SHL, we can't overlook the defensive backing that they have, with hosts of the best scoring and defensive defensemen in the league such as Adam Barron and Gabe Johnson.

This truly looks like one of the strongest Canadian teams in years, and they are going in with the weight of everyone expecting them to win the gold. They definitely have the manpower, but as we all know, the IIHF tournament has plenty of opportunities for shocking upsets.and be making an early exit from Mascot Kombat.

b. This is Texas’s first cup appearance since winning it in S36, while Buffalo is recovering from 2 recent final losses to Hamilton. Which team will have a bigger chip on their shoulder entering the finals.

I think that you really have to think that Buffalo has the bigger chip on their shoulder going into this one. Having a ton of regular season and early playoff success is one thing, but these guys want nothing more than to win a cup. Feeling that awful sting of coming close but not being able to close twice in such recent history will really have those players pumped up and ready to avenge the last ones lest they become like their city mates, the Buffalo Bills.

c. Which of these two teams' brandings do you prefer? Take into account colors, logo, name, location, and anything else you consider relevant.

I think that I probably prefer Buffalo's branding. It's a little more off the wall and unique to me and takes an uncommon colour combination to pull it all together. I always do love an animal as a mascot as well, there's something with human-based mascot costumes that always sets me off and they always just seem a little too strange to me. Buffalo is an excellent city for hockey, and of course comes with some incredible wing recipes which is just a huge win in the long run.

d. Would you rather have to spend a long weekend hanging out in Dallas or Buffalo? What would you do?

While there are a ton of great things about Buffalo, taking the time to head to Dallas for a long-weekend would be a great time. Booze is incredibly cheap there, and the weather is quite often leagues above where I live. Texas as a whole is home to some excellent BBQ, and I would want to dip into that with some tall cool beers on a nice hot patio and soak in that sun.

c. Which of these two teams' brandings do you prefer? Take into account colors, logo, name, location, and anything else you consider relevant.
d. Would you rather have to spend a long weekend hanging out in Dallas or Buffalo? What would you do?

a. Without a doubt it is the Buffalo Stampede. Only two teams scored over 300 goals this season and one of them is Buffalo. Now going into the year the talk was all about how the West is shit and so Texas will be inflated. A quick look shows that four of the bottom five teams in the league were from the East. Only thing that stops me short of discrediting their 300 goals for is that they would have also had a fist full of games against the likes of Hamilton, Chicago, and Toronto whom made up the rest of the top five teams with our two finalists here.

b. Both teams will have MASSIVE chips on their shoulders. Buffalo as mentioned has fallen short a couple times recently and knows first hand that they have everything they need to win. But Texas has been pounding on that glass ceiling known as the great lakes division for a few seasons now and has something to prove. I wish this was a full 3D sim we could watch, like a live game because this series would be insane

c. Damn this is a tough one. Dallas is a large city that has a ton to do in it and the name is a solid blend of inspiring toughness as well as being easily imaginable. But the colours or lack their of causes them to suffer in any of these debates. Conversely there is not as much to do in Buffalo aside from driving to Toronto, Montreal, or New York City. They have a large, powerful animal as a brand and have actual colour.

d. No question i would spend it down in Texas. A real barbecue, downing beers, meeting in trucks is some fields for the best kind of redneck fun? Not to mention just the sheer unique culture of the area. plus the weather should be great this time of the year. Buffalo has its wings but other that that

Which SHL or SMJHL team was the best team to not make the finals this season and why?

Even though I have to give shoutout to Toronto and Chicago for being two teams that could have won the cup, like both teams in finals too, title of best team who didn't make it are once again Hamilton Steelhawks, or not once again they are best not to make it but arguably best team in league in general. They might not have absolutely best players but they are close, closer than we are and I in my opinion their coaching likely is the best in the league and I was more than surprised to wake up to us winning 2 in row to knock them out, but that is FHM for you.

Welp, you waited until the last day to grind out your CW and the CC finals are longggggggg over by now. congrats to [TEAM], woo! Reflecting back on the series, who gets your vote for series MVP? Make the case why this player deserves it over any other.

From my personal opinion, very biased one too, I think with series going such way I have to pick player from my team. So could it be Edwards Williams with 2 goals in last game including the cup winning overtime goal, maybe rookie Lemo Pihl who scored game winning goal in first two games. Also like we learned from finals Predictions Alexander Wachter and Björn Leppänen scored most points at 6. But really it is hard to say that any skater would clearly stand above else, specially when we had real brick wall between the pipes, named Cillian Kavanagh, who had a shutout and only allowed 10 goals during final series ending playoffs with 0.934 save percentage.

Task 1 - Charity TPE
The SHL is the best because of all the sexy people.

Task 2 - SHL Purge
In the world of a purge, Evgeni Petrov is ready for the beeg changes that come with that. For starters, Evgeni will invite wolf family to play hockey that day, with no rules that means wolves can play hockey just like Evgeni can in human league! Wolves bite quite well and is very effective intimidation strategy. I would also bring hunting bow onto rink. Hunting bow is usually used for hunting pregame meal, but instead can be used to hunt opposing players efficiently. Well placed arrow will send them scattering for benches and give my team breakaway. As for other rules that will be broken, goalie stick will feature more commonly on the offensive attack, whether or not it is being swung at puck at net or swung at opposing player to force them away from the puck, opportunities are endless! SHL purge cannot come soon enough, bring it on for Petrov party time!

Task 7 - Celebrity Fans
Best celebrity fan for Newfoundland Berserkers would be famous Norse explorer Erik the Red. Berserkers play with intensity not seen since the Norse warriors invaded all those years ago, would be great fan of our cause! Logo looks like dangerous warrior and that is what Norse are so would make sense Erik would be at our games wearing jersey. Other great celebrity fan would be another Viking in Leif Eriksson. Leif Eriksson Day is important day in Newfoundland Berserkers practice, and he would be honored by our appreciation for him. Leif would get along quite well with Erik as they swing axes and drink beers while on fan camera.

Task 15 - Trivia - Codeword: Proudmoore

Task 16 - Hotdog's weird task thing
Evgeni Petrov is stranded on deserted island presents bad case. Would hope to not have to ever eat fellow player but times must be tough. Evgeni is very hungry man so would have to consume the largest and beegest of all of the SHL players, and that will be Vaseline Podcalzone. Podcalzone is beeg Russian lad, is built like a horse and is incredibly strong. Strong means lots of muscle and means lots of meat available for eating. Podcalzone will also represent good thrill of the hunt, is not fun if the hunting is easy and not any trouble. If the hunted can fight back and give good chase then the rewards is justifiable.
