I think the most obvious person to consome is Julio, everyone knows it. They’re a Cow, and Cows are a well know source of Meat. You couldn make burgers, steak, burger steak. On and on. However there’s other sources of food in the SHL that I think are overlooked. First of all, Goalies don’t need their feet. It’s not like they really have to move at all, so we can replace their feet with prosthetics that are bound to the ice and they can just sit there in front of the goal without moving. This would provide me with plenty of nutrition by eating all the goalie feet. Something else to keep in mind is that there is a Moose and Penguin being drafted into the J this season and they might be delicious to eat as well.

If all 18 SHL team logos were entered into a fight, there would be one very clear and concise winner. You see, all the teams have their own gimmicks. There's a few that would be quickly eliminated from the fight - Renegades, Syndicate, Monarchs, Patriotes all come to mind for being human. The Forge would be a good foe, but as soon as it runs out of steam it's all done. The Barracuda could be a finalist, if it just swims in the ocean and stays hidden and no one else is able to find it. The real winner, and this is over the long con game, is going to be the Aurora. Every time. You see, their logo is one of the best when it comes to psychological warfare - it's light. Over the long, drawn out fight, the Aurora would simply just have to stay lit. The brighter they shine, the harder it will be for their opponents to sleep, which leads to sleep deprivation, which leads to bad choices, and will ultimately lead to all of their demises. (170ish)

So we're resulting to cannibalism now, are we? I'm not down with that at all. However, we do have one prospect in our pipeline for the Aurora. He might not taste good, but I'm going to have to go after Robot Sunfish. He's a hell of a teammate, but he's also sort of a fish. In order to keep my moral delimmas to a minimum, I'm absolutely going to start with the consumption of Robot Sunfish. He's also a big friggen fish, so that should keep me fed long enough that someone is able to find some real food in the meantime. I'm sorry Robot Sunfish, but you won't be eaten in vain. (110ish)

We all know that celebrities like sports. It's no question that they love to show up to games and get good seats and be on TV. I think some of the big SHL fans would be Vladimir Putin, but he probably wouldn't go to a game. He'd just send his best players to take over the league. Another big fan of the league would be Donald Trump. He is known to like winners, and in the SHL all we have is winners. Look at Texas, they won. They won bigly. I think both of them would be super fans of the Chicago Syndicate, since they're both basically criminals. (108 words)

Oliver Cleary is known as a smart player on the ice. He plays a high intensity game while also trying to limit mistakes. Keeping this in mind, his plan for an SHL purge would be quite simple. Instead of trying to survive the purge using his own skills, Cleary would try to do exactly what he does on the ice: limit his mistakes. To limit his mistakes, Cleary would simply find the biggest guys on ice and ask them to keep him safe. Much like Gretzky and McSorely, Cleary would find his own tough guy. The perfect person for Cleary to align himself would be is the massive defender on his own team, David Vent. An absolute mountain of a man, Cleary would simply pay him to keep guys off of him while he still plays his game. With no rules being active, Vent will be able to do pretty much anything he wants while Cleary gets to still play his skilled game.

The best team to not make the finals this season is a pretty obvious one. The Hamilton Steelhawks have had a chokehold on the SHL for many seasons, pretty much the entire FHM era and this season was the rare one where they failed. They once again had an amazing, worldbeater offence to go along with great goaltending. Theo Morgan had a season for the ages. Typically when a team starts to falter a bit, that signals the end of days and a transition but with the roster they've constructed, Hamilton will get back to the top of the mountain next season and will absolutely be back.

Welp, you waited until the last day to grind out your CW and the CC finals are longggggggg over by now. congrats to [TEAM], woo! Reflecting back on the series, who gets your vote for series MVP? Make the case why this player deserves it over any other.
Being that I am on the awards committee, I could absolutely be tipping my hand a little bit when I am writing this. If I had to give out a Finals MVP this season, I think I would go with Texas goaltender Cillian Kavanagh. Kavanagh was an absolute force all playoffs this season. Finishing with a 12-3-1 record with a .934%, he came into the finals hot and he stayed hot the entire series. In a playoffs where there wasn't really a standout player in these conversations, Kav's stats really make him the focus. Other players I would give consideration to would be Bjorn Leppanen and Augustus Wang.

A - In my opinion Buffalo has the better firepower in this series. Both are strong teams but when you look up and down at the Stampededs roster, there is not 1 weak point on the whole team. If you happen to make a mistake they are dangerous and will capitalize on any opportunity they get.
B- In my opinion I think Buffalo has the bigger chip on their shoulder in the series. Texas comes in having a bit to prove, but Buffalo comes into this series looking to get the money off their back after losing 2 series to the super team that is the Hamilton Steelhawks.
C - Put of these 2 teams, I prefer the Yexas Renegadea branding. I'm a big fan of teams in not traditional hockey markets so they strike a chord there with me. Plus I like the simple colors of black and grey. The logo is meh for me, but the colors of the team really help its cause out.
D - Given the choice between those 2 cities. I think I'm gonna choose a long weekend in the big D. I've never been to either, but from what I hear, Dallas is quite a party city with an awesome night life. I'd love to have an adventure there for a few days.

This opens up for a lot of possibilities but I think there are a lot of more fun things that can be done instead of murdering all the opponents. Now, my first suggestion is bringing a flamethrower onto the ice, which definitely sounds like I am actually going for the hunt (combine this with the eat another player and they'll be cooked on ice and ready to be served) but in actuallity I just want to melt the ice. I think the uselessness of players on skates will be fun to see. The game is going to be chaos in itself because since nothing is illegal on ice, why not just bring out the entire team on ice, move the nets or just kidnap the opposing goaltender? A lot of ideas, but I think Granström for except using the flamethrower will just take a chance at some fights, fair fights, as fair as they can be during this chaos. Maybe even just not care about the hockey because it's going to be absolutely crazy. How about having a massive keg of beer and just drinking the game away. I am sure it would be appreciated by some other players at least.

b. The fact that this is a question surprises me. Texas has reached the finals for the first time since almost 15 seasons ago while Buffalo's latest appearances has ended with finals losses. Buffalo does not want to be known as that final team that never takes the cup. Texas has no pressure because they are not expected to be that super team that wins all finals, they are just now reaching that top tier team peak and will go into this with optimism unlike Buffalo Stampede.

c. What I first want to deal with is the logo - name combo. Texas Renegades combined with a renegade and then Buffalo Stampede combined with a... Buffalo? To be honest, I do like Buffalo's but the logo is very unclear and the name Stampede has it's relevance for sure but it has never gripped me. Why not Buffalo Buffalos? Texas does not have a super great branding but I definitely prefer their branding to Buffalo. The black goes great with the renegade theme while the green and yellow for Buffalo again raises the question of what do these colors have to do with a stampede. Sorry Buffalo, I am team Texas in the branding war.

My mind obviously wandered to some users, first thought was to eat Luke because eat the rich and all that. Eating hotdog was also a fairly obvious one. Players however are a choice that is much more difficult. However, I think I have my conclusion. There are a few animals having joined the league and that is a better bet than eating human flesh for sure, but I think the one thing I was overlooking most of all is that all players are not human or animal. We also have our very own alien playing. Now it might not be great for interplanetary relations, but if I am starving I will without a doubt take the opportunity that has been given to me to eat a being from another place in the cosmos. My choice for nutrition is Narboza Manyhands.

Low stress makes for good meat, if he was organic it would be even better but honestly i think GMOs get a bad rap, sometimes they do act as some pretty good flavor enhancers. I would probably settle for a low and slow smoker method, maybe some pulled Finn sandwiches with some dill pickles on the side. I would probably use Pine and Birch for a strong smoke to help cover the taste. My understanding is we are a lot like pig so probably low worked muscles like the belly or rump would work best.

If there were absolutely no penalties in the SHL, things would get out of hand quickly. For one thing that means goalie interference can no longer be called, so most teams will end up playing extra man on the ice. Why put someone in net when they can just be taken out of the play easily? Another thing that would happen would be the evaporation of everyone's hands. Due to the rampant slashing and hooking that will occur, the game on the ice would look more like a sword match than a hockey game. Without a ban on the 1-4 setup, defensive teams would be able to clog the neutral zone efficiently, however without icing, the dump and chase may make that last point moot. No penalties would also mean that fights would happen more often and more frequently, as there would be no repercussions for throwing down and beating each other into submission.

Well first I have to say congratulations to the Texas Renegades for winning another Challenge Cup. It seems as though its impossible to get a Final without someone from the Great Lakes division showing up, with Buffalo being the other contestant. I would have to say that my MVP for the series would have to be Alexander Wachter, as his 9 goals helped propel Texas to the win. His 16 points also lead the team, showing that in this series, he was one of the most clutch players. Special mention to the Texas goalie tandem who were able to hold down the fort.

2) In a situation where there is a purge game in the SHL all I'm going to do is basically just go right down the ice every time and try to take the goalie's head off. What are they going to do? If you take the goalie out then the game is basically over seems fair to me. Of course the issue is that the whole game would basically turn into a sword fighting competition on ice. Everyone would be more focused on slashing other players then actually playing the hockey game. I figure the meta would have to be adapted to and players would start all wearing really thick equipment and really long sticks would be necessary. You've got to keep people at bay. I would also get a different sized puck as there is nothing that says I can't. In a game with longer sticks, much bigger pads, and slower overall play, the bigger puck would be clutch.
3) If all the SHL logos got into a fight there would be a lot of straight forward and obvious battles. Bulls and Wolves fighting for example. I guess the answer about which would win that would be dependent upon how many wolves or bulls there are. But overall the logo that would win the battle royal would have to be Spectre of New Orleans. It's actually quite obvious when you think about it. The spectre is a ghost. Who is going to kill a ghost? No one. You can't. It's going to win any battle by default since it actually can't lose. Don't get me wrong, I have no idea how it beats the Aurora Borealis or how the Aurora Borealis AT THIS TIME OF DAY AT THIS TIME OF YEAR would even fight. But I know that one day the Aurora Borealis will cease to be while a ghost will never cease to be, hence Ghost.
5) The Newfoundland berserkers were the best team to not make the Four Star Cup final. Double the plus minus of every other team that didn't make the finals and it's such a deep team to. It's not loaded with inactives. It's loaded with brilliant people that you love to play with and it is such a shame that they couldn't get it done against Kelowna. Oh well. Dwayne Gretzky was an incredible goal scoring winger, Bas O'Bigbers turned into a playmaking wing, and then Matty Sandeen was brilliant all the years he was a Zerk. It was the last show for all of them in a Zerk uniform and they'll be missed. That's why they were the best.
7) Mark Wahlberg would be a fan of the New England Wolfpack. He'd be a mega fan who wore the green and black night in and night out. Of course if you're gonna have Mark you're going to have Ben Affleck too. Ben would be a massive Wolfpack fan as well. Lots of celebrities who barely care about hockey would cheer for the Los Angeles Panthers. I think that Metallica would all be fans of the San Francisco Pride. Playing the national anthem at the chase center before games. Mike Myers would be a big SHL fan but not of the Toronto North Stars. No for Mike Myers he would've grown up cheering for the Hamilton Steelhawks as many Ontario kids would've. Yes Toronto represents more Ontario kids but Hamilton isn't that far away and Hamilton has been far and away the better team.

Like we already eat cows this would just be business as usual, despite how much the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals might want to whine about it, because, fun fact, that organization actually kills more animals than it saves because they are a terrible organization that cannot do what it is supposed to.

One of the most interesting parts of any sports league is seeing which celebrity fans follow which teams which creates such interesting dynamics for the entire fanbase when they see someone popular to rally around. I think that one of the most interesting celebrity fans in the Simulation Hockey League lore would obviously be Gordon Ramsay and his appreciation of the Calgary Dragons. Chef Ramsay would be a massive fan of the Big Parm and all its food related shenanigans leading to him being a common guest at big functions with large amounts of good food because why else would a chef be a hockey fan?

It would immediately turn into a combat robot arena situation where players would slowly become more and more equipped with technology. At first it’ll start medievil, spikes on shoulder pads, blades on the ends on sticks (actual sharpened ones) and the skates being extra sharp with lots of kick motions. Then as each research and development department for each team takes bigger steps to inflict more damage on the opposing team, and ideally reducing the amount of injuries to their own players, they’ll turn to technology. It’ll be things like players essentially in tanks, combat suits and to an extent, controlling robotic then cyborg players in place equipped with weapons. The peak of all of this will essentially start with nuclear warfare resulting in a player lock out, eventual demanding of rights of players both human and mutant alike, forcing an expansion for both human and hybrid human teams/leagues. To say the least, potentially sparking a new race war as the result of SHL without rules is one of the more likely possibilities

Which SHL or SMJHL team was the best team to not make the finals this season and why?
It’s starting to feel like a bit of a broken record at this point but I could see Newfoundland who could have had a finals showdown with Kelowna. I will instead go with Detroit who were much more anticipated to have more postseason success having seen their multiple 1st round picks from a couple seasons ago, take top roles but only bowing out in the 2nd round as the division winner. Part of it is facing an unpredictably predictable Anchorage team that always seems to do well no matter what season it is, and the other part just seems to be not getting the bounces in Detroit’s favor. Their team has largely been one of the more impressive ones in the league on top of having the leading regular season goal scorer so to not make it to the finals, much less even get a series win, must be incredibly disappointing.

Buffalo comes out ahead with the likes of Aron Hernadivic taking a serious step forward in being up there for points leader, his linemate Matt Kholin contributing significantly along with the still elite Monkey D Luffy. Augustus Wang also looks to be a runaway favorite for defenseman of the season given his offensive production relative to his peers in the same position.
b. With the definition being chip on their shoulder, it’s got to be Buffalo who had a couple chances to win it all, and being so close to getting another title would make them extra thirsty to get it done. That being said, Texas hasn’t won or even been to the finals in ages so that drought might be the difference maker.
d. Is this even a question? Texas seems like it’s got everything going for it from the local food scene, to having the nightlife that would be incredibly attractive to anybody with a variety of interests. Buffalo is largely just Buffalo and is one of those places you end up at not because you want to but you have to be there.

There are a plethora of other choices from Evil Allbran, Beeg Yosh, and the oh so delectable Pasta the Turtle. But I think the obvious and exotic choice has to be Duncan the Walrus. On a purely practical sense, the size of the walrus, adults being up to something like 2000 kilograms means for a greater yield of more meals and overall nutrition total that would allow myself to sustain until the next need to sacrifice another SHL in order to live. As a bit of tidbit info, it turns out when their flippers are fermented for several months, they become a local delicacy dish common to the Inuit people.

If real life versions of all 18 SHL team logos were entered into a fight, which would come out victorious and why? Which would be the first eliminated?
I think there would be a big fight between these logos. In my opinion, a logo depicting an animal, a dragon or some other monster would win. Firstly, such logos are much more colorful and pleasing to the eye, and secondly, this logo is also a strong unit for the team to feel good, so that players are happy to wear hockey uniforms. In my opinion, the final fight would be between Baltimore Platoon and Hamilton Steelhawks, because both logos depict a very strong bird - an eagle or one of their peers. I assume I would lose the Steelhawks logo just because the colors don't stand out as much as his opponent. If you ask me who would then lose first in this fight .. I would say the Tampa Bay Barracuda. Just because the logo depicts a fish, although she looks big and predatory with big teeth, but for her there are even bigger animals and torn. If I talk about design, then, in my opinion, the color pink does not match the blue background.

Which SHL or SMJHL team was the best team to not make the finals this season and why?
Our team of Vancouver Whalers. Why? Because I am already playing in this team for the third season and after these three seasons I see that we are fighting to the end and not giving up even with a very negative result. During the season, many opponents may find us easy to take. Maybe it is, but on ice we look completely different than on paper. We have been in the playoffs for several seasons in a row and have proven that we can win and fight against the leading teams. Even if we lose the first game, it's nothing, because there are three more ahead and maybe even more, because we are going on the ice to win.

Which SHL or SMJHL team was the best team to not make the finals this season and why?
I mean this one has to be easy right? The answer is Hamilton. I would love to say it’s Tampa and go full homer, but like, Hamilton was the best team in the league this season full stop. Add in “didn’t make the finals” and it makes it even clearer. Remove Buffalo and Texas from the equation, and the only person you could conceivably argue against the Steelhawks with is Chicago, who won seven fewer games than Hamilton. The Steelhawks also had a better goal difference than the Syndicate by a full 50 goals. That means they have a goal difference that was 145% of Chicago’s. They lost fewer than 10 games all season. Went 8-0 to start the playoffs. Then finally were defeated in a 7 game series.

Just so we’re clear, the person asking this question is the obvious answer right? Oh gee, I’m starving and a man named HOTDOG is saying “who are you gonna eat?”. Obviously the answer is the human sized hotdog. I know technically the question is asking about players and Eko Van Otter’s render isn’t a human sized hotdog, but for the purposes I’m counting GMs as in universe options for consumption. And GM Hotdog is a giant hot dog in a suit. To be honest with you I don’t even love hot dogs all that much, but I do love the knowledge that I am not consuming human flesh but rather like, pork, or whatever they put in hotdogs. Plus, in the right situation a hotdog is great. And starving to death is definitely that sort of situation.

Dear lord so let's get this out of the way immediately and let Pasta the Turtle know he's safe. While I love me some pasta and it's always carb szn, Pasta is my boy and I could never commit such a heinous act. I think I'd have to eat Toast. I'd put some Strawberry Jam on it (Cause everyone knows that's the default jam) - prob have to pass on the marmalade sorry beeg. Everybody likes some Toast in the morning - it sucks that I'd have to drive to Maine to go get it but we head there from Newfoundland and feast every season anyways. The one coming out of the fight victorious would most definitely be the Syndicate. Oh cool, you got a King? Bullets. Oh nice Bird Hamilton... bullets. You too Atlanta.... bullets. It's like a skeet shooting exercise but for SHL bird logos. Oh you got a herd of Buffalo? Bullets. Nice Lion San Francisco... shame we have all these bullets. North Star... CN Tower? Prob take a lot of bullets to knock it down but i'd take the mafia in a fight over a (very) tall building. Renegades may have a good run at it because they've also got a pretty good squad and potential access to bullets. Who would die first? I was gonna say Winnipeg but I don't even know if the lights can die. So I'm gonna go with the Blizzard. Idk what that thing is but it looks fluffy and I'm sure a hunter nevermind a mafia would take it down with ease.

What's your prediction for this season's IIHF tournament? Which teams do you expect to do well (or not well)? Which players?
My prediction for this season's IIHF tournament is that Japan will make it to the medal round. "You say this every year". Yeah well - this year is more of the same (except for last season, we don't talk about last season). Japan's got a team with a lot of players entering their prime and I think we're also going to see the young core of Fresh, Nham and Klomp among others really step up and show out for Japan in this year's tournament. I'd look for Ireland to suck this tournament because they have Corey and that's kinda inevitable. I already mentioned some young guys to look out for but I think you should also start to keep an eye out for Steve Harrington in Germany. Dude's an absolute weapon, and he has great hair. Not much more you can ask for from a hockey player and I could see him tormenting goalies all tournament. So much for an international vacation for them...

I didn't really wanna write this one but I was at 14 TPE so why not and it's obviously going to be Chicago. You expect me to say that some team other than my team was the best to not make the finals? Wrong. Now this isn't as egregious given Chicago was a consensus top 5 team in the league. Everyone knows that sometimes you get the puck luck and sometimes you don't - this year was the latter but in a series with the team that eventually lost in the cup finals, every game should have been more or less a coin flip. Couple more tails and we're writing these tasks about Chicago instead of Buffalo.
