After completing his now 5th season in the SHL Mikkel Asmus Sondergard might be looking to test the free agent waters.

With a Mutual option on next season available, rumblings have started that he might potentially use it to see what is out there.

With being stuck behind a stacked core, he was hoping by now to have access to some power play time, but that seems to still be taken by the other members of the defense core. Mix in a rather lack luster 1500+ TPE season, thought are mabye he isn't being utilized to the best role possible.

Playoffs might change the tune to this possibility, but as it stands it looks like this young defender entering their prime might be looking elsewhere for next season.
