The SHL HO decided to skip over FMH 7 because, like in the older EA NHL games (the ones that were on the SNES ) you could score goals from behind the net by shooting trough the netting. A feature which made garbage goals the main source of goals in every game.

I don't know anything about any of the sim games tbh, but I think an interestingly terribly feature would be if the game turned in to FHM 7: ROLLER HOCKEY. Its basically the exact same except instead of the ice background, it a parking lot in the middle of Encino, California.
To paraphrase the immortal Ilya Bryzgalov, "why use FHM7 when FHM 8 do trick"? At least I'm pretty sure he was talking about sim engines. Why you heff to be mad?

The feature that would completely ru8n sim leagues that would cause us to skip FHM7 would be to remove the ability to edit players. You could still create players, teams, and all other customization, but you would not be able to edit players. So no one would ever be able to update.

FHM 7 had a feature adding team nutritionists but to the surprise of no one, the average SHL player's diets are all so terrible, that no team would be able to skate the full 60 minutes.

You know, fhm7 was actually the exact same as fhm8 and there was only one thing that stopped us from using FHM7, and that one thing was forced light mode and no option for dark mode.
The rumors I have heard are that there will be a more accessible box score. That alone makes FHM 7 miles ahead of what we use now. Hopefully we also don't have to deal with the random shellacking a lesser team gives a better team.
