Archie's personification is relatively simple. When he tapes his stick, he will write the first quote that comes across his mind onto the first piece of tape that goes down onto the stick. He likes to think about what to write onto there before games as a part of his "getting into the zone" ritual. If he wins, the quote stays. So for example, in his junior season with Maine when he was top 3 in scoring, the quote that he wrote onto his stick at the start of the season basically didn't leave it until the very end. It was Daniel Ricciardo's one liner from an interview after he won the 2018 Chinese GP saying "Some times you’ve just got to lick the stamp and send it." And Archie surely did send it the entire season. Obviously, nowadays he is far from the offensive dynamo he once was, being now played as a defenseman in his SHL team, but those seasons, those you never forget. Manhattan Rage | General Manager

In the hamilton steelhawks organziation of the simulation hockey league, the drill I like to do to have the most fun out of all other drills that one could possibly do in a practice format when practicing hockey and specifically on ice skills that one would expect to use in a hockey game are goal scoring drills. Which ones you make ask? I dont know Im not actually a hockey player, fuck if I know what kind of drills hockey players actually do. In Hamilton though, the steelhawks of the simulation hockey league if you forgot who I was talking about, my two linemates, again could not tell you they are, just pass to me from various parts of the ice, and my job is to score on the goalie. I have to credit these many tedious hours of just practicing scoring goals to explain why and how I was able to score 38 goals this season despite this having been my 20th season, and my player being on his absolute last legs.

When given 20 minutes of free time on the ice, the Montreal Patriotes have a lot of different activities to chose from. Starting with my personal favorite, Chicken, in order to train the pinpoint shot accuracy of our great forwards, we have the members of the team line up at the goal, leaving a very small window to fit the puck into the corners of the net outside of the goalies reach. The reason it is called chicken is because if any of the "blockers" move they are forced to get hit full strength by a shot from the current goal leader at the time on the squad, which as of the end of the regular season would be Kriss Darzins. This is Wilson's usual favorite activity because he always ends up blocking the shots, or at least he used to until the rink and overall gameplay got a facelift, causing him to not want to block any shots anymore, making him the perfect blocker.

Kermit has to work fairly hard with the Seattle Argonauts trainers and equipment staff to be able to properly suit up for games. One of the biggest challenges he faces is the fact that he is a Muppet operated via a hand up his ass. This presents different equipment challenges that require extra padding for the puppeteer's hand, a brace to keep the arm upright and in position, and a modesty cover so no one can see the grisly scene where frog meets wrist. In addition, most hockey equipment contains velcro in one or more spots, which presents a challenge for Kermit, whose body is comprised largely of felt. As such, velcro needs to be replaced from stock hockey equipment and replaced with other means of convenient adhesives to keep everything firmly in place and protective of the Muppet inside. It's not easy being green, and it's definitely not easy being a Muppet in the best league in the world.

The Anchorage Armada's practices are always intense. The players skate hard and shoot the puck with precision. They are always working on their skills and trying to improve. The coaches push them to be their best and the players respond. They want to win and they know that practice is the key to success. For the Anchorage Armada, we love practice. The team may not show a lot of success so far but has been incredible hot as of late and a lot of that success has to be attributed to their hard work and effort elsewhere in practices and at home by watching tape and other teams play. With the playoffs around the corner and the team getting red hot at the right time, the Armada could possibly make a big push for the finals and win a new cup to add to their 4-star cups. The team has a number of energetic players that make practice fun like Lord Zomp and Luka Magic Nour is pretty hot ngl

What makes the panthers so good is that they never forget that Hockey is a game, and they are all just big kids that get paid to play a game for their career. After every practice, they open up the ice to everyone in the building, be it arena staff, family of players, friends of anyone really gets out on the ice for an old school skate session. The arena DJ plays some tunes, preferably 80s jams, and gets the disco ball spinning. Everyone is transported back in time to their child hood at skate parties. Limbo, shooting the duck, hokey pokey, all the classics make an appearance. Beach balls and foam noodles all show up in force. Even after a practice when the coach kicked the shit out of everyone with wind sprints, everyone's spirits are lifted immediately when the lights go low and the neon shows up. The party really gets going on monday nights when the practice facility opens it up to the general public as a fundraiser for the local peewee leagues. Everyone gets a chance to skate with the pros.

Practice is over and the coaches are off the ice, it’s time to have a good time! While seasons can be long, especially as we approach the end of the regular season, a good bit of ice time with your buddies with no purpose always turns into a ton of fun. After practice in Chicago, we like to play puck tag. The rules of the game are simple: one player is IT, and they are the only player allowed to carry the puck. To “tag” another player, the person that is it must hit that person in the skate with the puck. We normally start with the whole team on the entire sheet of ice. And there are guys jumping off the ice to avoid getting tagged it. However, puck tag is incredibly hard on your endurance. We could skate around all afternoon playing. So the team eventually thins out and we get down to a smaller number of players and eventually have yo play between the blue lines. We normally raise the stakes when we get to the smaller group. We set a timer and the last guy that is IT when we wrap up has to buy lunch for the boys. Its a great workout and a good bit of friendly competition among the fellas.

After a long and hard day, there is nothing that we, as a team, love more than playing some old pick-up hockey. After all, at the end of the day, we are just adults lucky enough to play a children game, so, from time to time, it’s a lot of fun to just go back to where we started. In those moments, two players propose themselves to play goalies instead of our normal goalkeepers. Hodor does an amazing job for a guy who isn’t playing goalie usually and David-Arturri Donskoi is by far the worst at it since he constantly goes out of his net to try to play the puck or to tackle the player carrying the puck. To split the players, we make the teams the old fashion way… by pilling up all of our sticks in the middle of the ice and by having a guy throw them toward one end off the ice or the other. Playing with no particular scheme, no particular position and just for fun does so much for our team chemistry! Playing with 5 forward and no defense, you got it! Doing the Mighty Duck’s flying V, you better get ready for it! Finally, one of the best parts of those moments, the celebration. Each and every time, you better ready yourself to see all the classics and some interesting invention (riding the broom, snipping the glove, playing bowling, etc.).
Getting ready because there is only 364 days before the next hockey team selection

Written Task:
Before every game Lord Raiden watches clips of himself playing while he was younger to remind himself how far he has come and to remember to enjoy playing the game. Watching the joy in his younger self playing hockey is always a great reminder to no be so hard on himself if things aren't going right or just going through tough times. Another little reminder is that, Raiden has told the equipment manager to always have a stash of Starbursts nearby. And if the equipment manager notices that he (Raiden) is starting to look a little frustrated or if he thinks Raiden could use a pick me up. Then he should run and grab the Starbursts and give Raiden two of them. Raiden loves Starbursts and it was he favorite treat to have after games. It is a easy way to also remind Raiden to have fun while playing and also gets a mid game sugar treat to go along with it. -162 words

Prompt 1
Patya am always for practice for make better, even if is after practice. Patya like for make way through cones and shoot pucks, and like for work on stickhandles. Patya get team involved in this. Team also like for race around ice on skates and see who is fastest! Patya am fast, but Patya am not win yet because Patya am been focusing on other things, like shoot and pass and learn more offense. Sometimes, team am even playing tag for work on speed! Patya think this much fun because Patya am play tag when was little boy back in Omsk. Team also make sure for get together and try for hit certain spots in goalie net for score. This good for accuracy when can hit corners with ease. Some of these practical for team and Patya, but also good for blowing off of steam. Patya not sure where these come from. Xavier Doom and Vlastislav Malik much good at all games. Patya hope for be this good some day. Nobody in particular is much bad, all is good. |
