Written Option 2: Only the strong will survive! Or do they? How important part does physical or mental strength training play in your players offseason and how they do it? Are they focusing mostly on lower body strength or do they take more balanced approach? Or is it all about the core strength that helps them stay in right position at the goal? Maybe they think that surviving is really more dependent on mental strength and finding it inside themselves, but is there even a way to train that?

Tom Pedersen is now too old to train as the others. The vacation is spent just relaxing and getting sore body parts back into shape.Tom Pedersen does a lot of hiking in and around Norway to get some cardio exercises, but nothing like running on the treadmill or anything like that anymore. A couple of weeks of hiking to his location for a cabin by the lake in a forest far away from civilization is pure training and joy. Tom Pedersen does all the construction himself and also all the movement of materials. The plan is to have an off grid cabin made by himself to retire to. Tom Pedersen can see the end of his career getting closer and closer for each preseason.Hopefully Tom Pedersen can feature on the popular Norwegian TV show “Der ingen kunne tru att nokon kunne bu” (where nobody believes anybody can live) on channel NRK. It would be a wish come through.

First and foremost I think the coach is going to get fired for dumping off a bunch of athletes who are worth millions of dollars in the middle of a forest that has bears and wolves.

With that said, Ongo Gablogian wouldn’t last an hour in the woods. The first thing he did when he got his first contract was hire an errand boy to fetch him Taco Bell every day. Without someone to constantly be bringing him food, he would be done for. Maybe he will have a team mate who can forage in the woods and survive, but that team mate would eventually get tired of having to split half or more of their food with Ongo and he would definitely get voted off. Ongo has a strict caloric intake requirement of 4,000 per day, in the from of Taco Bell. Without that, he is useless. The second his stomach started rumbling he would lose his mind and demand to be brought back to Boston.

Written task 1

Hip Hurts thinks he'll go relatively far in the survivor competition. He was basically raised in the cold Finland wilderness, and he thinks a lot of his Nevada teammates have quickly gotten acclimated to the desert, and will have a shock when they're dropped in the cold woods. But Hurts has always hated the Las Vegas heat and never got used to it, and will appreciate getting away from it for an offseason. At 6 foot 5 inches and 225 pounds, he thinks that will excel at any of the physically demanding tasks, with only Soderberg-Snooks possibly matching some of the physicality needed in certain tasks. The team will break off into pairs, and Hurts is matched up with his new defensive partner Arvinder Singh. Along with Hurts, Singh is one of the strongest guys on the team, so the pairing is expected to go far. Hurts plans on trying his best and winning it all, because it beats heading back to 100 degree film review days.

Option 2: kaarlo koivunen is mostly focusing on overall strengthening his physical strenght and not a specific part but all parts of it trying to be balanced since he already is kinda of a jack of all trades and he aims to be more so that he could be semi good at everything but not specifically focus on a specific part of it making him good in all areas what he figures would benefit the coaches along with that he also tries to improve his mental strenght and how fast he can process stuff since on ice it definently wouldn't hurt if you could process what happens on ice faster meaning you could react to on ice happenings much faster thus playing better then you would before so overall kaarlo koviunen wouldn't focus on anything but just increase everything slightly so he could benefit his team from playing in any kind of position what i would figure a team would really like

Written Option 2:

Jacob Marsh I would say has a primary focus on lower body training and cardio in the offseason. He includes a ton of plyometric excercises and increases resistance where he can (resistance bands or parachutes). Box jumps seem to be his favorite as that day you can finally add another level consistently is a rush maybe even bigger than adding another plate to squats. Along with the lower body he takes a balanced approach to the upper body, not overtraining any one muscle group. Increasing neck strength is another focus for Marsh. While not a fighter yet having that extra strength in his neck will only help when it comes time the gloves. While he anticipates giving more than receiving in any fight he is in, having that additional cushion to absorb blows will come in handy. Mentally he tries to work on clearing his mind so he can focus maniacally on the task at hand in the moment. He utilizes various meditation techniques that he does in numerous scenarios, whether that is in his makeshift zen garden at his NewFoundland apartment or focusing on deep breathing exercises in the sauna post workout. He's still refining his offseason routine and once called up to the SHL is eager to see what resources are available to him in the big leagues.

Written option 2:

As a defenceman, strength is an undeniable need. It's all well and good to be able to do sick dangles and speed down the ice or float a wrister into the top corner, but if you can't separate a player from the puck or hold your ground in front of the best you're going to have a really rough go of things as a defender. That's not even mentioning the importance of mental toughness. To be able to take hits, block every shot you can, lay the body even when every part of you is sore and aching takes serious mental fortitude. But that's what it takes to be a team's number one defenseman, and it that's the goal I set myself then my offseason training need to include some serious training for those traits. It's definitely something that was lacking in my game last year, and hopefully with some improvement it can elevate all the other parts of my game as well.

Written Option: 2

Chuck Lumbermouth puts a lot of effort into staying in shape in the offseason. He knows that maintaining a strong core is key to his style of play, and that he has to continue to work on his lower body strength so he doesn’t lose any of the speed which is so important to his game. That being said, despite the fact that he may *look* like a total meathead, Chuck also knows the importance of good mental. That’s why he spends time with family and friends up at the lake house in the summer. It lets him unwind and reset after a long difficult season. Luckily Chuck was able to afford to build a fully equipped gym at the lake house, so he is able to workout in the mornings before kicking back for the rest of the day. He tries to keep the partying to a minimum and focus on healthier ways to have fun, because he knows that will help him avoid distractions.

Written option 1:

I’d like to start off by saying I actually do watch survivor so this is super fun for me. As for Peter Tingle, how could he not thrive in a competition like this. He would naturally be very good at the competitions and would likely win all of them hands down. As nice as that would be it would also paint a target on his back so if he were to slip up one time then he could get voted out. Instead he would only attempt to win the competitions that matter so he doesn’t shine the light on himself. Peter would instead work the social game building his relations with everyone while forming a small alliance of 3 people that he works with throughout the game. By building solid relationships with everyone he makes himself the least likely target if the three were to be targeted in a vote which would make him the least likely to be the one of the three that do get voted off.

Celeste is more of a whole-body-health kind of person, but they do have the big benefit of being Very Naturally Good At Lower Body, which is obviously a huge benefit to a hockey player. Their offseason training moreso consists of staying active, usually through other sports; their big summer activity is soccer alongside boxing, plyo box, and tire workouts. It keeps it pretty easy and lighthearted, with nothing ever pushing too hard down one lane of activity. Plus, it's better for the mental state to not be doing the exact same thing every day, day in day out. Complicated, maybe, but overtraining one thing isn't beneficial to the self as a whole and never will be, no matter what the overtrained gym bros try to tell you. So Celeste plays other sports and stays in shape in a way that makes them happy instead of miserable and chill instead of tense.

Tibuk is heading north, as is going to be taking part in the Tampa Bay Barracuda's annual survival training program. It sounds a lot like regular survivor except that it is cold as all hell. This poses a problem for Tibuk as he has become accustomed to the weather if Tampa Bay. Arriving at the rink in shorts and a T-Shirt has become common place. But that is part of the challenge at this point so let's move forward with this. Tibuk might struggle with making camp or setting up fire. To be honest has never bothered to learn anymore meaningful skills outside of the game, unless you count the use of food delivery apps like Skip the dishes or door dash to be meaningful skills. I think Tibuk is going to get voted out very quickly but that is ok because then he can returne to his down pillow and comfy bed in time to get rested up for actual training camp.

Physical health has always been important for Big Sweg. Primarily Big Sweg is focusing on bulking all year around to maintain and also build new muscle mass. No part of the body is mire focused on than the other, all parts of the body is important for him. His primary strategy for this process is to go to as many ALL YOU CAN EAT BUFFETS as he possibly can. Breakfast lunch and dinner, all you can eat buffet. Going on a trip with the team? Same thing, all you can eat buffet reigns supreme in all aspects of life. But this also takes mental strengths to focus on this all year around. Big Sweg is a mentally strong person however, so he knows what is needed of him. This season Big Sweg has worked a lot on his overall view of the game, improving a lot in his defensive capabilities. Bravery is also something he has trained and improved by 3 points, which is YUGE.

For defenseman RIP THUNDERDOME 2013-2023 of the Tampa Bay Barracuda, strength training was a major part of preparing for season 80. Every player hits the weight room in the offseason to get stronger and to keep their bodies in good shape so they are ready for the regular season, but RIP THUNDERDOME decided to take it even more seriously this offseason, with a strong focus on his lower body. RIP THUNDERDOME has always been more offensively focused when it came to his playstyle. His skills (passing, puck handling, shooting) and offensive IQ (getting open, offensive read) have always been very high, but RIP THUNDERDOME realized that in order to best take advantage of his skillset, he needed to improve in his skating. This offseason, RT grinded hard in the gym to get a stronger and more explosive stride. Thanks to his hard work, he saw both his speed and acceleration rise.
