Day 2 Review- https://simulationhockey.com/showthread.php?tid=100813

Game 1- Eagles vs Sharks

Sharks 0-1-0

Eagles 0-1-0

Both of these teams had somewhat brutal losses, the Eagles blowing a 2-0 lead and the Sharks losing to a team of juniors players. One of them will get their first win of the tournament and hopefully it is an exciting match between two star studded teams.

Players to watch:

Sharks- Reginald MacIntyre

MacIntyre scored a big goal in the last game for the Sharks, putting his team on the board for the first time in this tournament. It is always great seeing the defense chip in on the scoreboard and we hope to see a big game from him again tonight.

Eagles- Teddy Cuddles

Cuddles got off to a great start last game with two consecutive goals before a second period collapse by his team. Cuddles is clicking on his line and will look to generate more offense tonight and put one or two past Vilde.

Game 2- Pirates vs Fury

Fury 1-0-0

Pirates 0-0-1

The Fury had a solid defensive game to take their first W, meanwhile the Pirates blew it big time against the Covenant. Will they be able to recoup or will they face a hot goalie in Cain and crumble to their neighboring draft class?

Players to watch:

Fury- Aleister Cain

Cain only allowed a single powerplay goal over 60 minutes last game, a trend he would like to continue against a tougher Pirates team. He is in for a tough game tonight as the Pirates were able to score 4 in their last one.

Pirates- Nickolas Klaus

Klaus was previewed before and lived up to those expectations big time. With a goal and an assist, he kept the game close though they ultimately fell to the Covenant. He will look to solve Cain and put his team on the board to continue racking up points in this tournament.

Game 3- Young Guns vs Demons

Demons 1-0-0

Young Guns 0-1-0

The Young Guns had a brutal last game whereas the Demons did not. Their offense is clicking with a hat trick by Zheng and they will look for an easy W against an inexperienced undrafted team. The Young Guns coaching staff has decided to start Del Vecchio to see how he fares against a tough team like the Demons.

Players to watch:

Demons- Barry Batsbak

Batsbak scored a goal and an assist in their 7-4 win and held a +2 rating, not being on the ice for any goals against. This kind of great team play and depth is exactly what will help the Demons continue to win. Batsbak is hungry for more points and hopes to find themselves on the scoresheet again, whether it be with an assist or a goal.

Young Guns- Abel Skinner

Skinner was a bright spot in a rough 8-2 loss, scoring one of the goals and assisting on the other. The Young Guns need to count on their defense to chip in on scoring and Skinner was Abel (ha) to do exactly that.

Game 4- Mustangs vs Astros

Astros 1-1-0

Mustangs 1-0-0

A rematch of last night, the Mustangs hope for a repeat of the last 3-0 win against this team while the Astros will attempt to make Biscuit look human. A tough task but the Astros are a good young team.

Players to watch:

Astros- Piotr Horvat

Horvat wasn’t on the scoresheet last game but was able to put home two goals against the Young Guns which is very impressive as a defenseman. If Horvat can find a way to get on the board tonight it would be a great relief to his team as they were shut out in their last game and need to end this scoreless streak.

Mustangs- Kevin Hamilton

Hamilton was instrumental in their 3-0 win, scoring their opening/game-winning goal and assisting on the insurance marker. Hamilton is looking red hot coming into tonight’s game and he has already found ways to score against this Astros team, let’s see if he can keep it up.

Thanks for tuning in and I will be posting a recap with the simmed games soon!
