SHL Legacy Tournament Day 4 Preview:
(706 words, ready for grading) Index- https://simulationhockey.com/showthread....pid2720740 Day 3 Preview- https://simulationhockey.com/showthread.php?tid=100816 Day 3 Review- https://simulationhockey.com/showthread.php?tid=100818 Game 1- Sharks vs Regiment Regiment 0-1-0 Sharks 0-2-0 Both of these teams are in need of a win, and one of them will get one tonight. The Sharks are having a disappointing showing so far and have considered putting Kryyst between the pipes and give Vilde a break. The Regiment are just trying to recoup after a tough loss to the Demons. Players to watch: Regiment- Noah Brusky Brusky had a decent game, only allowing 1 goal while on the ice and racking up 2 powerplay points including a goal and an assist. Brusky will need to have a big game tonight if he wants to take the W against the frustrated Sharks. Sharks- Cameron Carter II Carter has been very good for the Sharks, scoring in both games so far and really clicking with his linemates. He needs to work on his play in the defensive zone but I’d expect to see him on the scoresheet again tonight. Game 2- Young Guns vs Covenant Covenant 2-0-0 Young Guns 0-2-0 Ah, young meets younger. The Covenant should feel pretty confident going into this game after two solid wins against tough teams. The Young Guns are trying to get something going and this may be their best chance to take their first W. Players to watch: Covenant- Disisde Dayudie Dayudie has been on fire, assisting on two goals in the past two games and greatly contributing to the win. As the captain of this team, he has been doing a great job and they hope to continue this momentum throughout the tournament. Young Guns- Abel Skinner Skinner continues to be the best of the Young Guns, picking up another assist and extending his point streak to 2 games. Impressive for a defenseman, he will need to come up big in this game if the Young Guns want to collect their first W. Game 3- Eagles vs Cyclones Cyclones 1-1-0 Eagles 1-1-0 A rematch of Day 1, the Eagles are coming into this game with a vengeance after blowing a 2-0 lead in the second period of their first matchup. The Eagles are coming off of a win and the Cyclones lost their last match, so we’ll see if the Eagles are able to tie up the season series at 1-1. Players to watch: Cyclones- Shooter McGavin McGavin is coming in hot after adding another apple to his point tally in the loss to the Greyhounds. He has been one of the best players in this tournament and should give the Cyclones a boost of confidence whenever he is on the ice. Eagles- Evgueni Marmeladov Marmeladov had a rough first outing against the Cyclones only stopping 15 out of 19. Lets see if he can reverse this trend and have a great game this time to prove he hasn’t lost his starting job just yet. Game 4- Fury vs Greyhounds Greyhounds 1-1-0 Fury 2-0-0 Another Day 1 rematch, this one was a low scoring affair as the goalies came up big but ultimately experience rose to the top and the Fury were able to dispatch the Greyhounds. Will the scoring open up in this game or will it be another goalie duel? Players to watch: Greyhounds- Lallo Selman Selman has been great so far for the Greyhounds, scoring 2 pts and 1 of them on the powerplay. They were only able to score 1 PP goal in the previous game against the Fury, so another PP goal or even a 5on5 goal could make all the difference. Selman will look to add to his assist total or even score his first of the tourney. Fury- Alex Winters Winters has been on fire on the powerplay, scoring a goal and an assist with the man advantage. We’d like to see more even strength points from him but if it ain’t broke don’t fix it, and Winters is far from broke at the moment. Thanks for tuning in and I will be posting a recap with the simmed games soon!
