5-17-2020 - SMJHL Draft Day Timeline with Lord Raiden
Maryland, USA
05:00AM EST- Lord Raiden gets up to get an early morning workout in before the upcoming draft. Lord Raiden is a beast in the gym and today is no different. He knows that he will have to up his training if he wants to succeed at the next level as well. He is dedicated and motivated, a special shoutout to Cellucor C4 for the motivation. He's ready to prove his worth. Something he is used to doing his whole life.

09:00am- After his workout, Raiden showers and eats his breakfast. He gets ready for the day. He heads out to do his rounds of draft day interviews. First up is Erin Michaels from HSN. Erin is clearly taking back by Raiden's appeal. It's hard for her to keep her professionalism, but Raiden is a cool cat. Answers all her questions with extreme confidence. Best answer he had today for Erin was "I am ready and able to do whatever the team needs me to do and I will excel at it".

11:15am: Raiden is finishing off his last rounds of interviews. He has had some contact with some SMJHL GMs, but he just received a message from @LordBirdman CO-GM of the Colorado Raptors. They shoot the shit and have a great convo. Birdman says that they think Raiden is very under the radar and they gunning for him in the middle rounds. Raiden feels really good about his chances in the upcoming draft. He feels after that convo with the Raptors that he would be a great fit with them, but he is ready for any team willing to take him. He gets his best suit on and heads out.

03:00pm- Draft time. Raiden is nervous. Even He knows his skillset and what he is capable of, he just hopes he doesnt get overlooked by teams in the draft. Hopefully a team that reached out, sticks by the word and takes a shot on him. 1st round goes by quick. He knew that he was not going to be picked there. 2nd round goes by a little slower. Raiden had a slight hope of a team really going for him. 3rd round goes by. The 4th round and 5th round take forever. Every pick seems to be drawn out. He cant take it anymore. He is trying to be positive still.

04:22pm- With the 54th pick, COL selects Lord Raiden. Raiden cannot believe his ears. All the hard work. All his effort has paid off. The Raptors Raptors

stuck to their word and took a chance on him. Raiden hugs the SMJHL comissioner @BadWolf and puts his new team jersey on. Raiden is immediately messaged by @LordBirdman and it is followed by congratulatory texts and messages from his new teammates and fellow SMJHL Colorado Draftees. His new team takes him in immediately. And now its time to celebrate with the boys.

5-18-2020, 08:00am: After drinking that much Jack Daniels, the hangover is paralyzing. Any lesser man wouldn't have survived. But Raiden with all his might is ready to get to work and make his mark. Ready to give the Raptors his all on and off the ice.
