Player Name: Alex Winters
Born: Pardubice, Czechia
Height: 6’4”
Weight: 225lbs
Position: RW
Shoots: Left
Current Team: Manhattan Rage
Former Teams: Colorado Raptors, St. Louis Scarecrows
National Team: Czechia
SHL Draft: 1st Round 11th Overall, S43

1.      Early Life
Alex Winters was born May 13th, S25 in Pardubice, Czech Republic. His father, Tom Winters, was a prolific junior hockey player during his youth, but after a less than stellar SHL career, he moved to the Czech Republic in an attempt to rekindle his career. Alex’s mother, Jana, is Czech, thus granting Alex Czech citizenship and his role in the Czech national program.

2.      Playing Career
When Alex turned 10, he had played extensively on the Czech AAA hockey circuit, playing on a youth team with fellow SHLer Luke Thomason before Alex was sent to the United States to play at a boarding school, North Indiana Prep, in order to continue his career. After helping the program to its first national title, Alex was viewed by many as a potential SHL prospect with the talent to establish a career in the league. After being drafted to the SMJHL’s Colorado Raptors in the 4th Round of the S42 SMJHL Entry Draft, Alex had a solid rookie season, finishing with 21 points. This earned him an A grade from SHL Central Scouting, meaning he was viewed as a top prospect, expected to go in the first round of the SHL Draft that year. He was selected 11th Overall by the Manhattan Rage in the S43 Entry Draft and shortly thereafter, put pen to paper and signed a 3 year entry level contract.

Player Name: Slap McShotty
2. Playing Career

Slap was made aware of the SHL through reddit and decided, "Hey, why not give hockey a shot? Can't be too hard." He was scouted playing at a local middle school hockey rink by an inebriated retired SHL general manager and suggested to the head office to place him on the best team immediately. No one took him seriously except the Anaheim Outlaws manager, and likely only because they desperately needed a center prospect and not based on displayed skill. After being drafted onto the Outlaws, Slap spent his first season in the SMJHL intensely racking up 5 points in 50 games, a new SMJHL personal best. His stats were mediocre, as expected from a first-year, but his faceoff percentage was tolerable. He turned out to be a real stickler for puck possession. When the Outlaws went to the playoffs, he performed about as well as he did in the regular season in the 5 games the Outlaws managed to scrape before being eliminated in the first round. He began working hard to improve and next season he doubled his total points fairly quickly. After being drafted onto the New England Wolfpack, Slap started to gain experience in the head office trying to make hockey his full-time job so he could keep up with professional expenses. Slap hopes to keep improving and working up the ranks of the SHL and the HO.

Player Name: Andrej Doskočil

1. Early Life
Doskočil was born in Czech Republic, but his family moved to Slovakia shortly thereafter. His hockey junior team was HK Levice, with which he has enjoyed his junior years before being drafted to the american SMJHL by Halifax Raiders he plays for today, and therefore becoming a prospect of the SHL.

3. International Play
Doskočil has enjoyed a very succesful international career so far. WIth Czechias WJC roster, he has won 2 gold medals, with a bit of a dissapointing finish in quarterfinals in between them. Doskočil has played a total of 66 WJC games, scoring 3 goals and assisting in another 23, and is -3 in the three tournaments together.

4. Personal Life
We don’t know much about Doskočil. He has a major aversion towards posting on social media, saying: „I don’t enjoy posting about my life; I feel like I am not interesting enough, but I don’t follow that kind of stuff myself anyway so maybe that’s why it’s not interesting to me.“ The only opinions he tends to post are mostly related to either PC games, or computers in general, so there is an assumption he has a deep interest in these fields.

5. Honors, awards, and achievements

The accolades and achievements of Barret in his early life is a long list. Several peewee, middle, and high school awards and championships. And 3 selections to the All-New England prep hockey team. Once he entered the SMJHL, he continued the trend, with a Season 43 Four Star Cup in his rookie year, followed by winning the Quilha Agante trophy for top defenseman in Season 44. His play continuted to improve and he put a pair of WJC silver medals onto his mantle as well with the USA, before transferring to Czechia, hoping to see IIHF ice time. Once he debuted in the SHL for the Manhattan Rage, McCarthy had an incredible rookie season, and managed to just beat out Cedric Robinson for the Ryan Jesster trophy for Rookie of the Year in the SHL, an award typically not seen won by defensemen.

2. Playing Career:

During his first year of his SMJHL career Nadeau ended middle of the pack among goaltenders on a abysmal Lions team recording a record of 13-27-3 and a save percentage of .883%. This was a rough season for both Nadeau and the Lions both being their first year in the SMJHL however things would look up next season. In season 46 in the SMJHL Nadeau had a record of 21-15-5 and ended first among all goaltenders in save percentage which was a historic .911% and that hasn't been done in over a decade in the leagues history. So far this season Nadeau is looking to improve his record breaking season posting a .912% and a record of 16-8-2 at this point of the season which beats his previous year record and almost has him as  lock for his second consecutive goalie of the year title.

Player Name: Alexis Metzler

6. Controversy
In S33, Alexis Metzler committed an act of self harm in a team hotel in Hamilton, Ontario. Immediately after the incident, Metzler stopped fronting the media for several seasons, reportedly out of fear that the scars on his arm might be spotted by a reporter. He did not front a microphone again until he was appointed Captain of the Buffalo Stampede, at the start of S38.

In S39, Alexis Metzler won the Scott Stevens trophy for best Defenseman in the SHL. During the post awards ceremony press conference, a reporter who had discovered the story challenged Alexis Metzler about the scars on his arm, and asked if he had ever committed any acts of self harm. Alexis Metzler did not reply, and walked out of the press conference.

In S42, Alexis Metzler won the Scott Stevens trophy once more. This time, during the same post awards ceremony press conference, he admitted that the reporter was correct, and he had scarred himself in S33.

Since then, Metzler has donated to multiple suicide prevention charities, and was the face of the "Only you can seek help" joint campaign by the Simulation Hockey League, and the American Red Cross.

Player Name: Kata Vilde
1. Early Life
Kata Vilde grew up in Sweden with a single mother. From a very young age he was interested in sports and a local scout saw the potential in him right away and got him started in Sweden's youth hockey program. He started out as a forward since he was one of the better skaters on the team but when the goaltender for his team became ill he was pressed into emergency duty and has never looked back. He went on to tend the nets for many great Swedish teams. As a teen he discovered he was the illegitimate son of WWE pro wrestler Randy Macho Man Savage. This led to a fascination with pro wrestling and he quietly joined a gym where he was secretly being trained to follow in his father's footsteps in the offseason. His "uncle" The Nature Boy Vlad Lidstrom caught wind of this and steered his young nephew back into hockey and the SHL although he still occasionally gets in the ring for charity events.

Knute Knurtsson started his Junior Career playing for AIK in Swedens superelite league. Player Name: Sebastien Primeau

1. Early Life
Born in Montreal, Quebec on June 23rd he lived out of a modest apartment with a single mother who stayed at home trying her best to provide for him the best she could. He has been watching the game of hockey before being 10 with his father bringing him to Canadiens' games at the Bell Center. There is where he met the legend of Jean Beliveau and it changed his life. It's the reason why he wears the number 4 on his jersey as well.

2. Playing Career
Sebastien Primeau started his hockey career in Midget Triple A hockey for the Laval-Montreal Royal Rousseau before being drafted by the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada in the QMJHL where he had good success. The Detroit Falcons signed him as a free agent in Season 38 to play backup to Evgueni Marmaladov. Primeau spent three full seasons as a member of the Detroit Falcons helping them to go into the playoff dance each time, even going to the Four Star Cup finals once in Season 39 in a losing cause against West Kendal Platoons. He then in season 42 took main goalie position with Minnesota which he still is today five seasons later making their way to the playoffs every season but one ( Not counting S47 ) and having progressed up to the Conference Finals 3 times in a row. Primeau holds the best overall record for goalies of S46's playoffs despite the Chiefs not making it to the Finals.

3. International Play
At the end of Season 39 Primeau requested a transfer from Canada considering the team had a vast amount of talented goaltenders which would have kept him from playing for several years. He joined Sweden which he considered a challenge considering the team had a dire need of a lead goaltender. Sebastien spent the last 8 seasons with the Swedes playing as the lead netminder during 6 of them helping them make it past the Round Robin round only twice.

4. Personal Life
Sebastien during his off time enjoys traveling and watching movies, his passion for traveling is what in part got him to move to the Sweden National team. Time in the country allowed him to find the love of his life, Andrea, who he is still with today. Rumors are she is expecting! Primeau is a video game enthusiast collecting old games and consoles for his private gallery. He is also an avid formula one fan never missing his home grand prix of Canada on Circuit Giles-Villeneuve.

5. Honors, awards, and achievements
SHL - Season 39 Challenge Cup Champion with Minnesota Chiefs
SMJHL - Season 40 Tom Corcoran Trophy Winner with Detroit Falcons

6. Controversy
After the elimination of Sweden by Great Britain in the middle round of Season 46 a publication appeared in which Primeau expressed his discontent regarding his situation with the Swedish National Team. Having not played a single game in two consecutive seasons acting as second to Kata Wilde the Montreal native expressed his frustration for not having been used for a single game and receiving no response from Sweden's management team when asked if he was going to see any ice time after he has been in net for team Yellow and Blue from Season 39 to 44. Rumors are that there might be a change of rules when it comes to transferring to allow players on National teams that have not been playing for two consecutive seasons to be able to transfer teams once more which is something Sebastien is seriously looking into doing despite his enjoyment of being part of that organization. However, being ignored by management is downright insulting.
