The plan is simple. Using his army of devoted fanboys and fangirls that he has for some reason, Evgeni will send them to the houses of the top players in the league to kidnap them. Due to his Charles Manson like popularity, they will listen to his every demand even if he doesn’t even know what his own demand is. They will break into the house and offer the opportunity to come quietly and easily. If the player accepts, the player gets zapped with the beam and is sent home with a lollypop and a coupon for a free roast beef sandwich from Arby’s. If the player refuses they are tied up by the fan people and mailed in a USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate Box® to the secret Atlanta lab built in Hotdog’s bathroom where they are then zapped by the beam and then mailed in an express shipment back to their home where they arrive safe and sound, also with a coupon for a free roast beef sandwich from Arby’s.

CREATIVE PROMPT- So if you're going to have to get close to other players and fire this beam at them to take their skills... how do you actually do that?

Written Task:  You can't do it in the middle of a game, it would be too obvious. So how are you going to get close to the leagues best players and beam the talent out of them without anyone noticing? Are you setting a trap? Are you sneaking into their house in the dead of night? Hiding under their table at a restaurant? Forget the skills you want, tell me how you're actually going to pull off the talent heist! (150+ words)

It had to be a mix of stealth and talent. First I would have someone make a machine that has the ability to take a talent from some and transfer it to someone else. Then I would invite all the players in the league to a fundraiser. Fill an evening with joy and charity. All kinds of games and treacherous sneakery. And while all players are having a joyful time with their significant other I’ll just use a machine to steal all their talent and transfer it to me. At the same time I would steal the talent from everybody else attending as well. Not only would I be a heck of a hockey player, but also really good at knitting sweaters, making Créme Brûlée and probably making love as well. Nobody would notice and it would be the perfect crime. And after my hockey career I would have many other talents to make my living from.

Creative Prompt

The trick is getting close enough to the top talent to be able to steal their skills. And it's of course not an easy task, especially now that the entire league knows of the existence of this special beam weapon. All teams have practically shut down their facilities to anyone other than those closest to the teams. Each player, at least the ones with skills good enough to steal, have been assigned a security team that encircles them at all times. And right there is where my opening will come. Within the security team. I already have the build to look like security detail. So what I'll do is falsify some documents to "verify" my background in security work. I'll even sprinkle in some police and military experience just to make it stand out even more. They can't not hire me after that. Then as I finally get assigned to one of their top players I'll wait until we're somewhere out in the open, fire my beam and run like my life depends on it!

As the numbers indicate, something is going on with Alexi Piastri. Piastri has lit the SMJHL on fire this season, leading the league with 33 goals and 53 points through 32 games. This is quite the revelation as Piastris already eclipsed his previous career high of 30 goals and it shouldn't be long before he surpasses the 56 points that he put up in each of his first two seasons with Nevada.

So what's the reason?

Some say that Piastri shined a prototypical laser beam at SHL star Connor Snooks during a pre-season skate. Apparently there's some substance to these rumors as Piastri has played like a mirror image of Snooks and is simply overwhelming SMJHL defenders. Snooks himself doesn't seem to be affected, if anything this laser beam may have somehow helped his own game. Piastri meanwhile is only a goal shy of the Battleborn team goal scoring record and may have a legitimate shot at some SMJHL records. This whole laser beam skill stealing technique may just catch on.

CREATIVE PROMPT

So I have to get close? Well, no biggie. Just host a party at the mansion. Modify a spotlight or two to contain the beam, and there you have it. The perfect way to steal someone's abilities. But here is the thing. You have to make them forget they ever lost their abilities. So you just lace the drinks and food with memory wiping drugs. I mean, you are committing a crime, so you have to go all the way. Because it is easy to make it click that they lost their powers at the party. You have to make them forget they were even there. So drug them, put them under the modified spotlights, and take everything they have. I mean, literally. Why should you stop at their abilities? Grab whatever you can find. Money. cards. phones, watches, car keys, everything. And then disappear to Panama, and live your best life, while everyone in the SHL just looks like baby deer trying to balance on the ice skates.

Jack St. Clair has always been the Monstar on the ice that everyone always tried to copy. Then he came to play the SMJHL and here is just another nobody, or at least a long ways away from being a star of the show. He has all the talent he needs to succeed, he just.... doesnt. So what JSC is going to be doing is stealing technique, learn what is separating other players from the rest of the pack. Starting with faceoffs, JSC for whatever reason just cant win faceoffs, so sorry Jarrod Lakemore but you're too good at faceoffs. The other area that St. Clair used to pride himself on is his out of this world playing making ability which too has really dried up. So while we've got Lakemore, time to learn what makes him such a great passer and set up man. Jarrod has 10 more assists than St. Clair has points and that just wont do any longer.

With this new insight in how to win draws and set up teammates for success, St. Clair is gonna take to the ice and help lead the Citadelles climb those standings.

Andreas Kvalheim would like to regain some of the impressive two-way skill he once possessed before the ravages of time withered away his body and talent. While the importance of hitting has perhaps been overrated by awards committees in years gone by, hitting was a major part of Andreas' game during his prime, and as he continues his quest up the all time hits leaderboard, he would like to steal Salzberger Lillehammersson's hitting ability. The Atlanta forward, on top of being one of the best offensive players in the league, is also one of its most prolific hitters. Next, Andreas would like to copy Aaron Wilson's impressive longevity, or perhaps just directions to his fountain of youth. Aaron Wilson, despite now being one of the oldest skaters left in the SHL, continues to pile on the points and is still producing at a point per game rate, showing that regression doesn't hit everyone the same.

Player prompt

Well, what could be better for my old ass than some kind of shiftiness and speed? I have the strength and skills to check very well, but with getting older you are losing out on speed and agility to move like when you were young. That is why I would try to get the fastest as possible to get a very dangerous threat in the defensive game and be all over the place. Also it would help me to get more scoring opportunities and support my team on offense as well. This leads me to who I will beam to get his skills. For that, I will take a look at the NHL and laser beam Connor McDavid. Not sure if I will switch to offense right away then, as the skillset would fit very well for that purpose, but I am still a defender. Would be a very dangerous skill to have on a defenseman though, think you never saw a faster defender in the league ever.

It's quite simple : DAD will definitely steal M'Baku Olubori's skills, as he's one of the best TPE earner and he's leading all the rookies in terms of Points, Goals and Assists. M'Baku is one of the most complete forward and his dedication to hockey is quite impressive. DAD loved playing with him in Regina, but as they are now rivals, DAD's goal is to be better than M'Baku and show him that he will do everything he can to show him that he's the best PF. Well, stealing his skills is quite not legit, but everything is permitted. DAD and Baku also have a similar playing style, so if DAD can steal Baku's Power Forward skills, I'm pretty sure he'll become one of the best PF in the league, even as a rookie. I know Baku would be pissed if DAD does that to him because they were friends in Regina. It's nothing personal thought.

Hey I'm DAD can I adopt you?

Ok heres how you do it. Everyone knows that the one thing EVERY SHL player can agree on its that Russian bath houses are the way to wind down after a game. Statistically speaking from all three people polled agree, which gives us an astounding 100% majority. Knowing this we can be safe to assume that we can find any player we want at their local Russian bath house mob style. From there its just a matter of being around at the right time. See a player you want to steal powers off of and hug it out when you see them. As we all know this is totally normal behavior in the Russian bathouse environment and as such no one will be any the wiser as to what you are actually doing. If we know anything from the documentary "Space Jam" we know that the powers must be stored temporarily in the main object representing the sport, which is also why we are fortunate to only need to use a hockey puck to store it, which can be easily concealed on body behind the towel.

the skills that i would take from other players around the league would be all the ones that i deem the most american you see dating back to the early days hockey really was mostly an american sport despite what all the poutine-ganda the nadians wanna tell you what needs to be known is that america was the first and only country to exist and after a lot of arguing in very circlular buildings for some reason we allowed other countries to exist just because it was too much work trying to learn all the new peoples that they arent really allowed to do that so in this case the nadians really dont understand that water was invented by an american and therefore ice is american and without ice you have floor hockey and no one wants that so anyways if i wanna steal powers from someone id just take all the good stuff and not the bad stuff

well binko koivu would use the skill stealing beam to try to steal the abilities of paul @Briedaqueduc koivu because he is the best koivu and it makes binko very envious and jealous of his abilities so binko would use the skill stealing beam on his brother paul in order to steal his abilities and become the best koivu. however binko would have to watch out for ricky @Gwdjohnson koivu using the same beam on binko because ricky is the worst koivu and he would also be plotting the same thing in order to try to become the best koivu. so if in the case that binko steals paul's powers, he would really have to watch out for ricky trying to steal his powers. now what type of power are we talking about? well for one there is the power of friendship which is not a power that is unique to paul koivu, like for example other players like angus @micool132 mcfife possess the power too but binko would not want to use the beam on angus because he is on his team!

I think I have the best possible way to steal the skill I want. I will wait until the Forge play the team that the player is on, first of all. Then, immediately before the teams report to the locker rooms prior to the game, I will hang out around their locker room and strike up a conversation with that player about a cool trick they had done with the puck because I had seen it and liked it and wanted to learn how to do it. Then, after the convo, I would reach out to shake their hand with one of those electric zappers in my hand, and I'll zap them at the same time as I steal their skills with my beam. They'll be too focused on the zapper to immediately notice anything off, and it won't be too out of place since I have a reputation as a prankster. Then, they'll notice once they're on the ice and it will throw them off their game, making it an easier game for the Forge to win.

Thanks to EAB and sulovien for the sigs!

my littel gremlin goblin sidekick scrant blonkis is how i steal the powers of other players. he goes and says hey guys im a little cute little guy! and then when they turn their backs and KILLS HIS ENEMIES but of course he is too small to do murder so he just does a little biting and gnawing and then the players go no!!!! you can have my powers! and then he says my bad. im sorry for biting you. and then he gives me the powers and i ues them for evil... hehehehe,,, . When it comes to scrant blonkis, he's also trained in krav maga if the other player ever has a counter goblin so he will wrestle them to the ground and make them submit to my will. tats why scrant is my friend and i will never stop loving my little goblin. he is a goofy little guy.
