I don't know anything about the NHL or hockey in general. but i think the SHL could benifit froma fight cam. really just get in there and let us watch live fights. who doesn't love fights

If you ask anyone in Manhattan, the only time I really bring up a stat is when I am cheering on anyone who gets in a fight. I would LOVE to see the fights actually happen rather than just seeing it in the box scores.

Since the NHL made a horrible decision in getting rid of In-Person drafts, I think it would be cool to have players drafted in the first round come up on stage and put on the team's jersey. Could bring some funny graphic ideas.

I have always been a fan of promotion and relegation systems and it would be really fun to have a league that implemented a system like that.

I'd love to see an increase in the amount of available team statistics, such as: Team Power Play Percentage leaders, Penalty Kill Percentage leaders, Goals For, Goals Against (and their per game variants), and Face off win percentage. Would be nice to have these available at a glance, perhaps even just added to the existing league standings page?

It’s an easy thing to bitch about how we need to get out of the current playoff structure, but I’ll avoid it. Honestly, what the SHL needs is the ability for a juniors player to eventually become a “Connor McDavid” like player that would change a team’s fortunes. Imagine if a junior player spins the wheel and now Montreal gets 1OA for a STUD pick that gets like 600 extra TPE that can change the team’s fortunes.

All junior players should be able to spin a wheel, and mostly they won’t get anything, but SOME will get a TPE boost before the draft to be extra special players that helps these team teams.

The SHL does free agency so much better than the SHL. We have such a difficult time every offseason even figuring out which players are on expiring contracts. We really should have a database with that information centralized.

Adding injuries and thus added chaos and confusion and LTIR shenanigans to SHL is my fondest dream. I want GMs screaming at each other about injury-prone contracts in GM Chat. I want digital Mark Stone to break his digital back.

I like the live drafts a lot. There's always talk about changing how the drafts are done, perhaps over a number of days to give more time for GMs and/or the stream production. But the thrill of everything happening so fast is part of the fun
