Rasmus doesn't play pranks at all, in fact he hates pranks. His disdain for pranks is known so well by his teammates that he escapes all of the typical practical jokes - either given a heads up in advance or they'll design the pranks in such a way that they couldn't fall within his sphere of day to day life. It all started when he was a kid - his friend put a whoopie cushion under his seat. He sat down, and everyone laughed and thought that he had farted, but he had not actually passed wind. Quite the embarrassing moment for young Rasmus. Then a week later, it happened again to him. He vowed at that moment, that he would never pull a prank on anyone, nor would he allow pranks to be pulled upon him lest someone have to go through the 3 seconds of laughter and then everyone else forgetting that it had even happened by the end of the day - he wouldn't wish that upon his worst enemy.

Prompt 1

Murdock is all about the pranking life. Most of it is some good old fashioned physical comedy--jumping out from corners to scare people, shit like that. The classic is always hiding inside of a mascot style outfit that other people would never think actually has someone inside of it. The classic mannequin prank if you will. Another big one is tazing. Index and middle finger straight to the ribs. One that's bee cooking for a while now is trying to trick rookies that he's dutch and can only say "no sprechen sie englisch" whenever they're around and someone says something to him. It's tough to know how well they're buying it tho... not exactly an easy way to ask them.

There's also the on-ice prank of the tickle-monster. Battling in front of the net with somebody? Drop a hand off the stick and give them the ol goochie goochie goo. Either they're chill with it and you make a new friend, or they hate you and could take a penalty. No way for it to backfire! There's no penalty for tickling, after all.

My player welcomes using tricks to try and get an advantage during the game, especially in the offensive zone. The biggest thing my player does to get an advantage is while in the offensive zone he always attempts to slash the goalie as much as he can without the referees seeing. By doing this he is able to get in the mind of the opposing goalie so he has to think about being slashed rather than making saves on the shot attempts. This has proven to be a great strategy so far in his young career and the league may look into doing something about this if enough goalies start to complain. My player encourages his team mates to this tactic against opposing goalies and he has also made it clear that when other teams try to do that to his own goalie that he will make sure to rough up the other players very bad so they do not try to do it again.

Prompt 2

3WW Wingmate Roc is a bird who does not care about the human notion of fair play or so called "dirty" tricks. The play is to win the game, not to come out with a misguided sense of honour. Anything is fair game, and if it helps the team get the W, it's happening. Every example in the prompt, embellishment, dirty hits, anything at all that might happen when the ref's back is turned is fair game and if you are not cheating, you are not trying. Of course, Wingmate Roc is not one to suffer of course, if any of his opponents were to try and pull a fast one on him or his teammates, you bet your ass that he would squawk loudly and strongly. There are no injustices he can suffer, any slight jostle is a trip, small impedement an interference, or wayward look an injury, but only against Roc though, anything he does is perfectly legal.

Violet Stoica is diametrically opposed to the use of cheap tricks to get an advantage during games. It's also probably why she was such a mediocre SMJHL player, but at the end of the day, you have to be able to go home and determine if you're happy with the way you're achieving your goals (in addition to assessing if you've achieved your goals at all). There are no embellishments for perceived hard hits or complaining to the referees -- just good old, high quality hockey. Are embellishments and a little bit of acting part of the game? I think at this point you could make an argument that's the case for multiple sports (especially basketball -- where entire playing styles are centered around playing the refs for foul shots and hitting 10-15 free throws/game, as well as non-American football which has some of the funniest foul baiting of all time). But are the players who draw those fouls happy overall with the way they play? I suppose they can wipe the tears of their haters with their infinite amounts of money, as they're often among the most prolific scorers and earners in their respective sports. But I don't think Violet would be able to sleep comfortably at night knowing she hadn't truly played the game of hockey properly to earn her way to respectability.

Thanks @Amidships!

The goal of the game is to win and that means I will do it by any means necessary. I will flop around like a little fish on the ice if it means my team is going to get a man advantage on the play. Any time there is an icing play I am ALWAYS trying to make it complicated on the refs. Any extra resting time we get from the confusion is a bonus and then sometimes you get really lucky and they mix up the players on ice and you get a fresher player. Another trick I like to do is when you've got a tired group on the ice, I will start at center instead of wing and purposely delay the faceoff and get kicked out eventually just for that extra little resting time. It all adds up in the end. The saying is, if you aren't cheating, you aren't trying!

My player Marian Hanak values honesty and the overall honesty of the sport. He does not engage in deceitful tactics or unsportsmanlike conduct in order to secure an advantage for his team. Instead, he concentrates on improving their abilities, strategic tactics, and collaboration to achieve success in the game.

In order to reduce the occurrence of these tricks in games, the league might consider enforcing stricter rules and imposing harsher penalties for unsportsmanlike conduct. Moreover, heightened supervision from authorities and the implementation of technological tools, like video replay, could discourage athletes from resorting to dishonest strategies.

In order to avoid opponents using dishonest tactics, Marian stays attentive to their game, he also upholds sportsmanship, and counts on their abilities and mental strength to conquer obstacles on the field. He remains focused and confident despite others' actions not affecting them. In the end, Marian thinks that genuine success is derived from effort, persistence, and competing with regard for the rules and competitors.

Prompt 2 - 162 words

Trevor Lahey has never been the type that plays by the rules, he probably just doesn't know the rules because he can't read the rules, after all he only gotten his grade 11, couldn't quite get his grade 12. Beside laying out dirty hits when the refs aren't looking, the number one way he plays dirty is by playing the refs for fools. Trevor has years of experience of dealing with cops and getting out of trouble with the, it's not any different with the refs. If he "accidently" trips another player, Trevor will just sweet talk the ref into believing that the other player is just embellishing and trying to pull a fast one over on the refs, he would also mention that the other teams think the refs are stupid, just any way to stir things up a bit. it doesn't always work, but when it does its quite the sight to watch, maybe Trevor should have gone into sales...
