S79 mPT #5: Expectations Subverted Due: Sunday, November 17th @ 11:59 PM PST
#91

Fully expected the Platoon to be mid but I’d say we overachieved and did pretty well. I didn’t get the spectres to be in the playoffs but that division is rough.

Coming into this season I was only expecting to play 3rd or maybe second line on the defense. I was pleasantly surprised to be gifted a majority of 1st line duties.

I did not expect Calgary to take such a big step this season. They have shown that they can be the next Pacific Division powerhouse after SFP and LAP begin to regress.

The biggest thing I expected to happen was that I would hit closer to 66 pts this past season having been plopped on the first line, however I am still stuck in the 40-50pt purgatory.

Wasn't expecting MTL to be in the playoff hunt all the way til the final day of the season, sad we missed it but the growth in incredible

I honestly did not expect to have the high quality season that Denebor Milasch has had. I figured I would be an average goaltender to maybe slightly above average. I was not expecting to be contending for the one of the top goalies in the league. A huge amount of this success can be chalked up to the high quality play of my teammates and their support through out the season.

My player didn't fall off the face of the earth despite regressing (again) and being moved to a 2nd pairing role with no PP time. Still alright, thanks to a crazy good team masking my flaws.

While we expected the Berserkers to be much better than last season, I wasn't expecting us to be challenging for the best regular season record throughout most of the season, much less tying for the best record in the J when all was said and done.

I expected Pass Forfeit to retire, however he overperformed and helped his team win the season. Maybe he can get another cup, but probably not. Seems kinda unlikely for him

I think the most unexpected thing for the Renegades this season was the final week. We had major success for the first three weeks and then on the final week things just seem to fall apart. Many losses, lots of goals against. Nothing much changed in terms of what we we're doing so it didn't make a lot of sense.

We still made the playoffs though but losing an opportunity at the president's cup was a little sad. Not a big deal but definitely a bucket list item I thought we were going to be able to cross off this season the way things were going!

I have to say, I ha dreally expected us to do a lot beter in the regular season than we actually ended up performing. Luckily it looks like we are bouncing back for the playoffs.

Granted, many of the underlying numbers are still rancid, but Seattle really do look like we've taken a firm step forward. We're not bottom feeders any more and with the core of young players, there's no reason we won't keep moving on up for a good few seasons. I wasn't expected quite this big a jump, in honesty.

Seeing the points totals skyrocket again. a couple seasons ago the numbers went absolutely wild and it was very common to see well over 120 points but no one has really been able to break the Goal per game or even go over 1GPG. I thought by this point someone would have.

some high fibre sigs are Powered by AllBran,

I expected St-Louis to be quite bad because we had lost most of our core, but finally having someone take care of tactics helped a lot. good job @cake307 ! great season

Tom Pedersen axpected more points. At least more goals and is not happy about what he has contributed with. Next season will be harder as well since Tom is getting older. Time to shine is now
