The plot follows a team that is haunted by a ghostly Sámi figure known as "The ganning of games past". A spectral presence that torments players who have suffered heart-wrenching losses in the past and continue to make them lose. The creature, played by a teammate with a knack for theatrics embodies the collective trauma of those haunting, nail-biting moments when victory slips away.

Tom would take on the role of the old veteran who tries to rally the team as strange, supernatural events unfold: pucks moving on their own, ghostly whispers echoing through empty rinks, and phantom penalty calls that appear on the scoreboard. The movie builds tension with a psychological twist, as the team must confront their deepest fears of failure to banish the ganning and break it.
