So if you're not familiar with our list, for the 2nd season we've sent out surveys to Front Offices across the SHL and SMJHL to evaluate who they believe to be the best prospects in the SHL are. The results pictured above are the rankings after combining the raw score off the survey with a weighted score that takes into consideration popularity. With that being said let's break down every player on this list!

[Image: pE5znim.png]
@Halkohol
The First Overall Pick from S57 has lived up to and surpassed expectations that were put upon him when drafted. The morning of the draft Tampa Bay held the pick, looking to get out of it because they were so loaded on prospects, it can’t help but be speculated on about what might have been had they held on to the pick and taken the consensus best prospect in the draft at the time of the draft. As it turned out New England traded a couple firsts to have the right to take Granstrom first overall and three years on that appears to be an absolutely brilliant decision. Last season in the first ever Top Prospect list Granstrom was ranked as the 18th prospect. Quite good for any player, but this year he’s risen all the way to the number one prospect in all of the SHL. Granstrom by all metrics is the best player from the S57 class and might very well be the best first overall pick since Flacko Lagerfield in S41.

Granstrom has been a big name since he was young teenage playing hockey in Sweden. His arrival in the SMJHL was highly anticipated and ultimately ended up being the 3rd overall pick in the S56 SMJHL draft. Time has show that to be an incredible pick by Detroit. Granstrom has had an incredible SMJHL Career with the Detroit Falcons. A Captain since S58 he’s played in 248 Games, scored 51 goals, and 130 points. Granstrom is a dynamic center that combines his size and skill to create a deadly game that is going to terrorize the SHL for years to come. In addition to his incredible game he’s a great leader in the locker room. New England fans, you were excited in S57 when you drafted Granstrom, but now it’s time to really get excited because Jonathan Granstrom is for real and he’s months away from arriving in the SHL.

@dogwoodmaple
They say the best way to build a team is up the middle, which is why it may not be a surprise that the top two prospects are both centers, making three of the top 5 players centers. Dogwood Maple, the S58 5th Overall Pick, was selected by Hamilton and it appears that he’s going to be the player that helps the team translate from their current dynasty into potentially their next one. Hamilton was somehow able to acquire an elite level prospect amidst winning championship after championship. It’s quite an impressive achievement.

Dogwood Maple was yet another prospect that came into the SMJHL with tons of hype. Performing on the top circuit of American Junior hockey, the Atlanta forward being taken at 7th overall by The Maine Timber. While Maine Timber has suffered much postseason defeat since he joined the team, it cannot be denied that he’s had a great career in Maine. In 3 seasons he’s played in 198 games scoring 31 goals and 92 points. On and off the ice he’s been a huge part of Maine’s rebuild. Going from last place in S58 to being a team that can compete with The Newfoundland Berserkers in the playoffs in round 2 in S59. Dogwood likely has another year before he’s ready but Hamilton fans can feel rest assured that he’ll be able to help continue Hamimlton’s greatness into the 60’s.

@leafs1997
New Orleans has maintained an elite farm system over the past several seasons, setting them up to build an absolute monster in the 60’s. It began with a good S56 Draft but it really kicked off in S57 when New Orleans took Vlastislav Malik with the 4th overall pick in the draft. There was large debate as to who the best winger in the draft was. Largely debated between Vlastislav Malike, Dwayne Gretzky, and Freyja Helstrom. There were arguments to be had for all three but NOLA felt strong in Malik and that appears to have been a brilliant decision. Malik was a top prospect last season as well, being named the number 6 prospect after 3 seasons. Now he’s the number 3 prospect as he wraps up a brilliant career in Kelowna.

Malik came into the S56 SMJHL Draft as a renowned player out of The Czech Republic but people weren’t really confident about where his ceiling or floor really were. He ended up being available to Kelowna at 16th overall in the 2nd round and Kelowna took him and never looked back. In 4 seasons he’s played in 248 games scoring 62 goals and 150 points. Since the start of S56 he’s been one of the best players in his class and been one of the best players on one of the best teams in that same span. It’s no wonder that the whole league is so excited about Malik. A 6’5 lethal sniper with incredible physical attributes, it’ll be tough for teams to keep him from finding the back of the net. It might be a little while before NOLA is ready to capitalize on his incredible ability, but one day Malik will be among the most elite offensive players in the SHL.

@SewingWithNancy
Gatez just barely missed the top 10 on the prospect list last year and this year he’s only continued to improve as a player. Now widely regarded as the best defensive prospect in all of the SMJHL. Sean Gatez widely regarded as the 2nd best defensive prospect in all of the S57 draft has lived up to that reputation and more. The 2nd Defenseman to go off the board that night to the Los Angeles Panthers at 3rd overall, he’s proven to them that he was worth every bit of that draft pick. Sean Gatez is a vocal locker room presence that people love to have around. When you combine it with his elite potential it’s obvious as to why so many experts are so excited about Sean Gatez. The consensus belief around Gatez is that he’s going to be an absolute super star in the SHL. Potentially even a hall of famer one day. Los Angeles fans have been eagerly awaiting his arrival for years and the wait is almost over. Fans have been dreaming of day that Gatez and Khanwald will share a blue line together. While it’s unclear if they’ll ever be a pairing, just the thought of that future LA blue line is enough to send shivers down the spines of all those west coast SHL teams.

The 6’4 220 Denver born Defenseman possesses one of the strongest offensive defenseman skill sets seen by scouts and experts in some time. No one knows just how he can develop quarterbacking ability yet but experts are foaming at the mouth at the potentially legendary player they are looking at in Sean Gatez. Time will certainly tell us in the end but it looks certainly to be the case that LAP knocked it out of the park when they selected Gatez.

@r0tzbua
After trading out of the first overall pick in S57 Tampa Bay gained many New England draft picks, including the 8th overall pick in S58, which they used to select Finn von Murphenstein. A D-Man with a pretty high ceiling but ultimately there were other D-Men whom teams felt had higher ceilings or at least higher floors than Murph at the time, but things have really changed since. Tampa absolutely hit a home run at this part in the draft because Murph has turned into one of the most incredible prospects in the league. Murph has become the top defensive prospect in this class and behind only Sean Gatez for the best defensive prospect in the SMJHL.

Another great prospect to come through the Carolina system, the defenseman has been sensational at the blue line for the Kraken since joining the team in S57. At the time of the draft there were a lot of exciting things about the Austrian d-man but it was unclear just how well he would do. Being taken in the 3rd round he exceeded all expectations and has now risen to become one of the elite prospects in the SHL and yet another example of the goodness of the Carolina system.

[Image: FLs9o8q.png]
@Jepox
Pablo was the number 2 center in the S57 draft behind only Jonathan Granstrom but widely viewed as being not in contention for being the best center in the draft. While he was obviously good enough to be a top 5 pick in the draft, few teams picking in the top 10 really needed a center more than another need, which allowed him to fall to Atlanta at 11. And what a pick that was. Pablo quickly established himself as one of the best players of his class and one of the best prospects in the league overall. Pablo has been so well thought of that he’s actually the first prospect named so far to fall in the prospect rankings from S59 to S60. Ranked as the 3rd best prospect in the SHL in the S59 Rankings he’s going to finish his time in the J as the 6th best prospect in the SHL, which is still amazing. Pablo will likely be the first homegrown talent in Atlanta’s history that will come to dominate the SHL.

Pablo’s J career is one of the most prolific in the history of the brief FHM era. Scoring 67 goals and 175 points in 4 seasons makes him one of the best players to ever play in the J. Pablo has made Anchorage proud for many years and it will be a big blow when they no longer have Pablo anymore.

[Image: RbBhafw.png]
@Arkz
The best goalie in the S57 SHL Draft, Ark was destined for the first round as he was one of the most impressive goalie prospects to come around in years. The only thing that really has ever held Ark back from being viewed as the best prospect in the game is the general lack of faith in goalies, but Ark has the potential to be one of the all time greats at his position in time. It just remains to be seen.

His career in Vancouver was an incredible one, named rookie of the year in S56 as he helped lead the Whalers to a Four Star Cup. A prolific goalie for which his likes will not be forgotten for some time. It remains to be seen how well his game will translate in the SHL but New Orleans fans certainly are greatly anticipating his arrival, which is only months away now.

[Image: HKw8Wfq.png]
@Keenan
A consensus top prospect in the S58 Draft, he immediately impressed in the year after San Francisco made him the 2nd overall pick. Quickly he became the most exciting prospect in the game. From TV analysts to an average fan any given night at the Chase Arena, Goode’s name was a nightly discussion. Speculating on how incredible he will be. Goode did fall from the number 1 prospect last year to 8 this year but that hasn’t stopped fans from being excited about him. In the minds of most experts Goode is still quite likely to be an elite SHL player but his ceiling has become a little more unclear. Still San Francisco fans are counting down the days until he makes his SHL debut.

Goode is likely to have one more season in the SMJHL before being called up to the SHL so San Francisco fans will likely still have to wait sometime to find out how real the hype is on this player. But so far his SMJHL career has been nothing shy of absolutely stellar. Last season he scored 20 goals and 55 points en route to one of the best seasons a blue liner has ever had. For his career he’s scored 31 goals and 119 points in 198 career games. He’s also helped Anchorage win a Four Star Cup. So while his hype has withered since last season, he’s still an elite player and it remains to be seen how high his ceiling will be.

[Image: JlZZA8U.png]
@Blasoon
The youngest player on this list so far, Ramza was drafted 5th overall by the Seattle Argonauts in the S59 Draft. Last year he was one of the few S59 players to make the top prospect list and clearly that was an honor that was well deserved as he is now the highest rated prospect of his class. Part of this comes from the value placed on Centers and Ramza’s incredible development.

Ramza joined Carolina as a DFA prior to the S58 SMJHL Draft and remained with Carolina after the draft. Regarded as one of the most well rounded Centers in the SMJHL, experts love Ramza’s elite playmaking and think that he’s shown really good ability in both scoring and defensive ability. Experts aren’t sure what to expect of his SHL career yet. Wether he’s going to turn into the next two way elite centers or become an all around offensive monster with goal scoring and play making. But the fact that he has potential for either has experts over the moon with excitement. So far in his young SMJHL career he has 19 goals and 68 points in 161 games. I’m excited to see where he is this time next year and I know that Seattle must be proud to have a player with such elite potential in their system after Vaseline Podcalzone’s graduation.

[Image: rrFHWzT.png]
@Mike_Izzy
#A-Rye Izzy, son of hall of famer Mike Izzy, comes in on this list at 10th overall. Regarded as one of the next best blue liners in the SHL and like his father before him he’s going to be doing it all for the Calgary Dragons.

Izzy was a top draft pick by Kelowna in S58 and rightfully so. Quickly becoming their captain and helping them to make deep playoff runs the past two seasons, and this past season he lifted the Four Star Cup. I think that experts have no doubt that he’s going to be an incredible blue liner but there are some questions about whether or not he can ever reach that elite ceiling of his father, but only time will tell. Maybe this time next season we are looking at Izzy being a top 5 prospect instead of barely cracking the top 10. But regardless of if he does it or not, he’s going to be part of the next generation of great Dragons.

[Image: 2LlPxbj.png]
@Raven
Kawashima was the number 1 prospect among the S59 class of players going into the S59 SHL Draft. While Toronto held both the number 1 and number 2 overall picks, they declined to make him a North Star with either selection. However Kawashima ultimately did become a Toronto North Star prospect after falling to 6th overall. While no longer the consensus best player of his specific class, he is still regarded as a likely future star in the SHL.

Kawashima is yet another Center to make this list. In fact of the 6 forwards to be named in the top 11, all but 1 has been a Center. There’s a lot of excitement regarding the 6’4 213 pound Japanese Center. It certainly feels as there is a wide range of potential for the player and we’ve only seen bits and pieces of it. Will he be a power forward or a two way center? It’s very unclear after 2 seasons in the J but the belief is that whatever he becomes he will be very good at it. Through 2 full seasons he has 21 goals and 68 points in 162 games. Toronto fans will have to wait sometime to see Kawashima in action and they can hardly wait. Toronto being the market that it is, Kawashima is quickly rising to a point of daily conversation with how incredible his ability is.

[Image: vVhncPQ.png]
@Amidships
Olson is the 3rd NOLA prospect to make this list so far and one of the biggest jumpers on this list. After not even receiving a single vote going into the S59 Top Prospect list, he’s managed to nearly climb into the top 10. It’s clear that NOLA captured lightning in a bottle when they took Olson 14th overall in the S58 SHL Draft. NOLA either has one hell of a developmental system or just elite scouting or maybe something in between. They seem to consistently turn out good prospects and Olson is just further proof of that.

Experts actually like Ole Olson as a really solid defensive prospect for his soft two way game with really high upside on defense. Wether or not Olson develops his Power Play Quarterbacking ability or not, experts are confident that he’s still going to be an iron wall at the blue line. NOLA Fans have not had much to cheer for in the last couple seasons but they have been very excited about their farm system and Olson is a name that has not been absent from the lips of NOLA fans this season. In 3 seasons Olson has 16 goals and 82 points in 198 games. NOLA fans just hold on a little longer as he’ll likely be with the team in a year or so.

[Image: jHA8mm8.png]
@Memento Mori
Another Defenseman, Jay Sink was the 1st overall pick by Toronto in the S59 SHL Draft. While his hype has yet to surpass Kawashima or Ramza to this point, he’s still regarded as one of the most exciting young players in the game. Sink is a more traditional blue liner, focusing on elite defense over offensive prowess. Sink might not excite the typical fan like a Gregory Goode might, but that hasn’t stopped Toronto fans from counting the days until they can see him take the ice for the North Stars. His potential is so high and will likely only continue to grow as time goes on.

Sink has played two full seasons for the Anchorage Armada im which he has 16 goals and 50 points in 156 games. But again his value comes in his incredible defensive ability which was on display when he helped Anchorage to make playoff runs in both of his first two years.

[Image: HM6uf2v.png]
@Mr._Finland
Mihailov was a player that experts had a hard time figuring out going into the S57 SHL Draft. In hindsight it should’ve been quite obvious that Mihailov was destined to be a player with a lot more potential than draft experts anticipated. Experts wondered about his potential due to where he was in his development and his player being older than most players in his class. Time has proven this to be a silly fear as he’s just continued to become a better and better player for Detroit in the years since. Buffalo ultimately drafted him 17th overall and he quickly proved that he was one of the best prospects in the game.

Mihailov is a 6 foot 176 pound Center with really good two way ability. In his 4 seasons with Detroit he scored 52 goals and 158 points in 246 games. One of the best J careers among players in his class Mihailov has much to be proud of as he goes into the next phase of his career. While he was a member of the Buffalo organization for virtually all of his development he was recently dealt at the deadline along with Leon Athanasios and Rintarou Okabe and a 2nd round pick for Rex Kirby and a 3rd. Most Buffalo fans know that this is the price of the business. You’ve gotta trade youngsters for top talent when you want to win sometimes and Buffalo made a move to make the team better. Buffalo ultimately made a run to the cup final before losing to Texas in 5. In the meanwhile, Atlanta fans are nothing short of over the moon to have another really high upside center enter their organization and almost fully developed no less.

[Image: Y1PJMWO.png]
@JT3
The first Baltimore prospect to make this list and yet another Center. Blanchet was the 4th overall selection in the S58 SHL Draft and rose 14 spots from the last top prospect list to make it into the top 15 prospects in the SHL. I would actually make the argument that his ranking at 14th is if anything a little bit of an under evaluation for the ceiling that Blanchet possesses. He’s demonstrated so much potential in 3 seasons in the SMJHL and I think this is a player to watch going into the next prospect list, expect him to rise.

Noel Blanchet is a 6’3 215 pound Center with a terrifyingly well rounded game. Blanchet has shown incredible play making ability and really solid defensive prowess at the Center position. But in addition to these two really amazing tools, experts think that with a few changes Blanchet could be also one of the elite goal scorers of the SHL. If this developmental trend continues, expect Blanchet to be one of the dominant names of the SHL in years to come. Baltimore fans Noel Blanchet could potentially be SHL ready now but he could use some more time to develop. It is likely he’ll be granted such time and in that case fans can expect him sometime next year. It won’t be much longer to wait and you’ll be happy you did because he’s been so incredible so far in 3 seasons in the J. Scoring 36 goals and 108 points in 198 games.

[Image: sMpl3aN.png]
@Asked_Madden
Hundertwasser is a player with a difficult name to spell but also is yet another NOLA prospect to make this list. The 2nd NOLA Blue liner prospect to appear on this list and all four have been within the top 15. Hundertwasser is an incredible offensive Defenseman prospect and is really exciting with his ability to Quarterback a team. He might need a specific system to get the most out of his game, but even with that he’s one of the most exciting prospects in the SHL.

Hundertwasser is coming off a great season season with St. Louis where he scored 8 goals and 40 points. His call up could be in a couple months or a year. Either way NOLA fans, already rich with excitement for their farm system, still love to discuss his potential with the organization and have been anxiously awaiting his debut since New Orleans made him the 6th overall pick in S58.

[Image: WDby0GY.png]
@Sopath
Bas O’Bigbers shockingly is the first winger to appear on this list since Vlastislav Malik was named the 3rd overall prospect. Bas was an interesting name going into the S57 SHL Draft. Already loved on his team but there were questions about his floor. Many experts suggesting that he was a very risky pick and so after being speculated as a top 10 draft pick, he fell all the way to 16th overall where he was selected by The New England Wolfpack.

Bas’ ceiling is still up for debate but his floor no longer is, Bas has continued to excite New England fans with his development over the years. He’s shown the ability to be a really good overall offensive winger with an emphasis in goal scoring. Bas is just months away from making his debut along with top prospect, and friend, Jonathan Granstrom. New England fans have had some hard seasons but they’ve been excited thinking about their prospects for years and finally some payoff will be coming as they are just months away from getting to see Granstrom and Bas both play together. There is much similarity between the two as both were named captains of their respective J teams. And both had amazing SMJHL careers. Bas scored 56 goals and 152 points in 248 games over his career.

[Image: PNxZKHw.png]
@DrunkenTeddy
Luc is a curious case. One of the most exciting prospects to come onto the scene in a while. The hype was quite palpable going into the S58 SHL Draft. Some draft experts pointed out that he actually might not be the most talented player in the draft but others speculated that there was little to be concerned over as he’d eventually find his way and fit into the elite projection so many cast upon him. Ultimately Luc Blouin was taken with the 1st overall pick in the S58 SHL Draft.

Luc Blouin has been a stellar prospect since being taken by Tampa Bay 1st overall. The 6’5 French Defenseman has 20 goals and 90 points in 198 games and is likely to have a long and successful SHL career. It just happens to be that the S58 Draft Class was particularly deep and has generated so many elite prospects that Luc hasn’t been able to shine like he did going into the draft. But still experts are excited about the potential of his career and Tampa fans can hardly wait to have him on their team and have prematurely paired him on Tampa’s top defensive pairing for years to come. Luc also offers incredible leadership skills. Teammates of Luc claim that he’s one of the greatest leaders they’ve ever taken the ice with and everything he’s done in the Detroit community screams that he is a player people want to have around and be around. He’ll likely become the spiritual core of Tampa Bay if given the opportunity.

[Image: Y5dzYwn.png]
@Demolish
Rosejac is another goalie with incredible potential and is really only held back by bias against goalies. Seattle didn’t have a pick in the first round in S57 but I think they were thrilled to be able to select a goalie of Rosejac’s caliber in the second. I think that the hype around Rosejac just comes from his incredible performances over the years. The last two seasons in particular.

While he never helped Colorado to win a cup, he still amassed 105 career wins with a career save percentage of .909. And in the last two seasons his save percentage was .919 and .914 respectively. How far he’ll go in his career is difficult to speculate. Goalies are one of the hardest positions to predict, but with how good Seattle looks to be in the future experts are very excited about Rosejac.

[Image: PDltAvf.png]
@3lewsers
Gretzky is just the 3rd winger to make this list and he’s demonstrated that he was worth everything Winnipeg spent when they picked him 5th overall in the S57 SHL Draft. Dwayne Gretzky has demonstrated his incredible goal scoring ability throughout his career and has been one of the most promising wingers in the J for several seasons. Going into the S57 SHL Draft he was one of those three wingers including Malik and Helstrom that were in contention for the best winger in the class. Winnipeg took both Gretzky and Hellstrom. Whil Helstrom never really panned out, Gretzky is everything as advertised.

The New Jersey forward is 6’2 215 and is as versatile with the puck on his stick as any in the J. In S58 Dwayne Gretzky scored 27 goals and all but one were in 5v5 situations. And in S59 Gretzky managed to score 2 shorthanded goals. Ultimately Gretzky finished his career with 57 goals and 135 points.

[Image: 5QKPiAu.png]
@notorioustig
Murphy is yet another Seattle prospect to make the top 25, just going to show you how strong Seattle’s system is. Murphy is also another Center who came into the SMJHL with tons of hype and affirmed that the excitement was well placed after his rookie year and ultimately became a top prospect in the S58 Draft.

Kermit is very skilled and experts believe his personality and ability to lift up locker rooms is one of his greatest attributes. Teammates of Murph absolutely love having him around and he’ll likely be one of many incredible people in the Seattle locker room in time. But in the SMJHL so far he’s been nothing short of incredible. Coming off a 30 goal performance with Detroit this past season, Kermit has scored 59 goals and 131 points in 198 games in his 3 year career so far. Argo fans will likely have to wait another year to see Murph in action, but he’s likely to excite the fans for years to come.

[Image: 8gcs6YQ.png]
@Johnny_Tsunami
Johnny Tsunami is the 3rd New England prospect to make the top 25. Regarded as one of the best wingers in the S58 Draft Class he ultimately fell to New England at 17th overall because it was a class that was absolutely loaded with elite potential defensemen. Seemingly every team was looking at how they could set up their blue line for the next decade plus and this is how such an incredible Wing prospect fell all the way to 17. While unexpected, New England fans were absolutely over the moon when they heard the commissioner come to the podium and announce Johnny Tsunami’s name. Analysts often talked about how in more normal circumstances Tsunami could’ve very well been a top 5 draft pick, and so the hype train began.

In the years since little has slowed it as New England fans have watched him grow into a top 5 SMJHL Wing. The 6’1 242 forward from Hawaii has scored a whopping 62 goals and 106 points in his 3 year career at Maine. Opponents absolute loathe having to deal with him as he’s got the physicality and skill to dominate most blue liners.

[Image: 7SbHUdg.png]
@Ruggsy
Ruggsy is one of the most beloved players in all of the SMJHL and screams captain material. One of the top defenseman prospects going into the S57 SHL Draft, he was well regarded by most scouts as being an awesome locker room guy and for being incredibly talented. San Francisco decided to pull the trigger and take him 7th overall and that decision can be regarded as nothing short of brilliant. Everyone whoever gets to interact with Ruggs will tell you how awesome he is and that’s before you consider the fact that he’s demonstrated incredible defensive ability at the blue line with a bit of offensive flair.

Ruggs was ultimately named captain of the Colorado Raptors and he lead them to many great regular season finishes and mentored many upcoming Raptors in how to be successful throughout his career. In 248 games Ruggs McOoooh has 26 goals and 94 points and many post season appearances. Experts can’t quite agree on where his ceiling will end up being but they can agree that he’s quite likely to be an anchor at the blue line for many seasons to come. San Francisco fans have been excited about Gregory Goode since the S58 draft night nearly 2 years ago but don’t think that many haven’t been penciling Ruggs as a potential defensive pairing with Rikard Bjerg for years now. Thankfully San Francisco fans won’t have to wait much longer to see their beloved prospect maken his SHL Debut.

[Image: 7lssfx2.png]
@retuperkele
Luukas Lilja is the last forward on this list and also another Center. Luukas Lilja came into the SHL Draft as a bit of a late bloomer after being an UFA signing by Carolina. Experts really had no agreement on what he’d be but Calgary felt like Luukas Lilja would be a reliable player down the middle for years to come, and experts believe this is likely going to be the case afterall.

Lilja is a 6’1 179 forward with a bit of defensive ability and solid offensive prowess. What kind of center he’ll be when he comes to the SHL is still a little unclear, but what is clear is that Calgary did well to make him the 14th overall pick as he has risen in potential above many of his S57 peers and even among many of those that fans wanted taken instead of him. In 4 seasons he has scored 32 goals and 129 points for Carolina.

@visceralpotamus
Our last prospect of the top 25 list is a truly special prospect. A defenseman from the Edmonton system, it is quite possible that many outside of the Edmonton fanbase are not familiar with Pasta the Turtle so allow me to tell you about him. Pasta is loved by everyone who has ever had the pleasure of being his teammate and is loved by all who’ve ever just been able to interact with him. He’s more than just a leader, he’s a source of spiritual energy that just makes everyone excited to get to work. While not everyone knew this, Edmonton certainly did and it forms the base of why they decided to make him the 10th overall draft selection in S59. But it was not just his incredible demeanor that made him such a valuable draft pick, but also his incredible skill. He’s demonstrated incredible potential in two seasons in the J and experts believe that we could be looking at a future hall of famer here.

It will be sometime before Edmonton fans have the chance to see their beloved top prospect make his SHL debut. Drafted only last year it’ll likely be another 2 years before Pasta makes his debut with one of the all time historic organizations but fans are already over the moon with excitement for Pasta. Edmonton fans show up at his J games in all arenas ready to cheer for their future star. The 6 foot 230 pound defenseman is primarily a defensive defenseman to the core. Pasta is not going to likely Quarterback an offense ever but it’s quite unlikely you’ll ever see a breakaway on his watch either. But don’t confuse that with him not possessing offensive tools. Experts have gushed at his advanced passing ability for a defenseman. Additionally he also possesses the finest puck handling ability of any blue liner in the J outside of maybe 2 or 3 guys. So even experts wonder if one day Pasta might actually end up having a tid bit of offensive flair to his game. That remains to be seen but in the meantime we can admire the phenomenal player and person that he is today. In 132 games he has 7 goals and 34 points. He’s only going to get better from here which leaves many experts so excited to see what his future holds.

I think the word count is roughly 5,700 Words. Please give 30% to Dextaria for graphics
