The Philly Forge of the Simulation Hockey League have stepped it up during the off season and made a few trades and free agent signings that will help bolster up the veteran core group of their team. Signing Sameul Michuad to a contract is the kicker on the table at this point. A legend of a player who has won 4 or maybe 5 champions with the Hamilton Steelcocks in the 50s and 60s has made him a presence too hard to ignore. Making a big trade with the Montreal Patriotes has also given the Forge a competitive edge over some of the teams in the league. In that trade, Philly sent some future draft picks and in return got Kaarlo Kekkonen. The forge also resigned Justin Keahi to a deal that puts him in a top 6 role for a few seasons. All of these additions, as well as a lot of returning faces, makes it so an expansion team in only their 3rd season will be competitive and in a good spot for the future.
The San Francisco Pride is in the middle of a transformation from bottom of the league to a divisional winner. I for one, can not wait to see what happens this season. In the offseason, we have added some new pieces in Toast and Gaby. We are ready to take the next step and see what happens. In all this commotion, we somehow managed to land Wongy and Ricebowl to the mix. What makes me most excited about this team is that we are now entirely active. All 3 lines on both forward and defense side of the ice, on top of both goalies. This means that the Pride is not only ready for this season but will continue to get better throughout this season and the coming seasons. I am not looking forward to Hamilton winning again but the test sims seem like it may be the case yet again.
Well, we certainly lost and gained a lot this offseason in Carolina. The first of the these was that we lost Smatt as our co-GM, but we now have Canadice filling that role, which I think we're all very excited about. We also lost a few players, the most notable of which was probably Granny Pan Pan, who will be sorely missed on the blue line. However, we added BadWolf's recreate to the team, and I think that will end up being a very good pick up for both the roster and the locker room, as she is a very beloved user. That said, I think I speak for everyone on the team when I say that we're all very excited about this upcoming season. We think we have the strongest team we've had in a few seasons and we're ready to make some noise, especially come playoff time. I'm definitely pumped to see how my player improves, as I moved up to the 425 TPE cap for this season. I'm also excited to see how my draftmate, Atticus Hale, performs. Like I said though, everyone on this team is all-in and we'll see how this season's cup run works out.
PROMPT 2
The Newfoundland Berserkers came close to winning the back-to-back last year, making it to the finally but very unfortunately getting swept out by the whalers. We also lost a lot of talent in the offseason, from Evil Allbran, to Pasta the Turtle and the league leader in assists Robert Black but we're still looking to compete going into season 62. All of our season 61 rookies are still active and five of them have hit their 350 sophomore season cap, five active players at 350 is a force to be reckoned with. Sprinkle in a few 425 veterans who can more than hold their own and all of the active rookies that we added in the offseason, a long playoff run is in the cards for the berserkers once again. On top of that we had a few players win some SMJHL awards, with plenty of recognition coming the Berserker's way despite the disappointing second place finish. The future is bright for this team and time will tell what the next two seasons will bring.

PROMPT 2
Colorado, being one of only two teams last season to hit the impressive 100-point mark, saw their season end on a sour note as they suffered a 4-1 series defeat to Vancouver. Still, on the heels of that successful season, we saw a few key members leave. Captain and leader Angus McFife XVIII, two-way stud forward Jack Nishimori, power forward Artemius Nystrom and GOAT goalie Zhen Roza all were called up to their SHL teams. To fill in the holes left by those star players, we mainly focused on the draft and free agency to bolster the squad. In the S62 SMJHL Draft, we selected defenseman GREY Rosey, who should be a nice defensive option for Colorado in the future. However, with the draft class being so weak, that was our only pick. Soon though, we picked up another defenseman, Warrior Enskidou off the Free Agent pool to add some more depth to the D-core. Overall, with these two moves, although they don't seem to really compensate for the losses, we still have tons of talent up front that is still developing, like Gobbledygook, Tokke, McDangle, Graf, Hinata, Dangle, Harrak and Nightingale. Watch out for Colorado again this season!
PROMPT 1
Vlastislav Malik has made the Up-and-Comers! He got the news just yesterday. He was elated to find out that not only had he made it, but some of his closest friends had made it as well! Firstly, Valterri Kauppinen, his fellow teammate on the New Orleans Specters, made it as his senior. How? No idea. Apparently he's decent. Of course, not better than Malik. Secondly, Teddy Murphy, a current Baltimore Platoon defenseman and former Kelowna Knights teammate, made it as well! As for a couple more reunions, Cian McFelter, a Kelowna Knights legend, as well as Robert Feltersnatch, another Kelowna Knights alumni, made it as well! Now, Malik feels much more at home, walking into the first practice. And wow, what a practice! NOLA practices are hectic, but this was a new level! Tons of speed across the board, as would be expected on a team full of youngsters. Lots of room for improvement as well though. Hopefully, they would gel real quick and grow together throughout the tournament! And win some games while they're at it!
The Atlanta Inferno made a number of changes to their roster heading into this brand new Simulation Hockey League season. One of their top defenders, Simon Leblanc, had announced his intent to retire at the conclusion of last season so he is no longer on the roster. Forward Bobby Sharp also left in free agency to pursue a cup elsewhere leaving two fairly big holes in the lineup. Stan Q. Next's career stagnated and led to him being released by Atlanta this offseason as well. Lucky for Atlanta, they have a reserve of elite young talent that will be coming up this season. Defenseman Angus McFife XVIII steps in for his rookie season after winning the top defenseman award last season with the Colorado Raptors, taking the spot of Leblanc and providing a fresh new face on the blueline next to the decrepit old vets in Dominic Montgomery and Eko van Otter. Jack Nishimori comes in to take over in one of the two forward spots open, and joining him is a literal towel. Towlie made the jump after only two seasons in the SMJHL and looks to prove that you don't need to spend an eternity in the juniors to make an impact in the SHL. With these major changes this season Atlanta looks to make it back to the playoffs but don't have any real expectations this season as it's one of a few building years they will need in order to compete with the top teams in the league.

PROMPT 2-
Baltimore had a great offseason. No new faces in the locker room. No overturn of players. I'd call that a great offseason. Just getting to see tons of awesome people come back and get ready for a serious push at the S62 Challenge Cup. I think we're one of the favorites along with Buffalo, Hamilton, Chicago, and Texas. There is just a group of 5 teams that are way better than the rest right now and that's really just objective due to TPE and build. Extremely excited to see how the S55 group continues to grow which is Lord Raiden, Teddy Murphy, and Daniil Nikiforov. On top of that the S56 defensive group of Tanjiro Kamado, Jasper Maximov, and Zebulon Leavitt just continues to grow into a monster group. Nothing like having a young team that only will continue to get better and better, despite already having the highest TPE in the league! Honestly just keeping the band together and keeping the status quo should allow Baltimore to have a good amount of time near the top of the league. The GMs in JR and MasterSheep have done an amazing job keeping us all together. Absolutely bonkers team and I am glad to be here!
Without a doubt, Cassius Darrow lands on the Grizzled Vets. As one of the last standing players S45 or older, it’s a clear fit. As Darrow steps into the first practice, it’s like stepping back in time to his juniors days. Sure, he’s faced off with Nick Brain and Andreas Kvalheim in the SHL, but it’s different now. He hasn’t practiced with Brainer since his final days before he passed along the mantle of captain for the Colorado Raptors. Elsewhere, longtime SHLers like Luke Thomason, Mika Mayfield, and Collin Gibbles stretch out. Darrow hasn’t spent much time around them since the early days of the Shits n Gibbles league while Mr. Hamilton was GM. He also spots his longtime friend, Dom Montgomery, pulling himself out of a hyperbaric chamber; is that how he’s stayed so youthful looking after all these years? Darrow also notices his agent’s other prominent client, Gunnar Soderberg, laughing with Harry Carpet and Corey Kennedy by one of the goals.
This is a team that may have lost a step, but certainly has enough talent to compete with some of the best all time. There’s like 30 players in this camp, and competition for the defensive roster spots will be fierce—Darrow, Corey Kennedy, Brennan Kennedy Jr, Eko Van Otter, Karl Scholz, Gibbles, Mattias Seger, Dom Montgomery, Slip McScruf, and old Rex Kirkby—all fighting for 6-7 roster spots. Darrow knows he can keep up, that he belongs in this group; the question will be if the coaching staff will determine the same.
Thank you karey, OrbitingDeath Ragnar, and sköldpaddor for sigs!

During the S62 Offseason not much has changed for the New England Wolfpack, effectively we have taken to holding the line and hoping the growth of younger players can help propel the team further this season then last. I expect that the next two offseason will see some movement to bolster the lines of New England however for this next season there has been no change.
I am optimistic about the season, I really hope that we can make a push into the second round of the playoffs this time, I have faith in this group and management and I feel that we can get it done. As for in the playoffs I need to play better, as team captain my play these past few seasons has been abysmal especially come playoff time. I need to channel my playoff mode that I had back in the SMJHL with the Colorado Raptors and find that mojo again. I am hoping for a close to PPG season, improving on my last one, and then leading this group to a solid playoff run.
After a great run last season in Edmonton where we won the division and lost in the western conference final, we knew our roster was going to change dramatically due to our S59 class coming up. The first person we lost was our captain Jean-Paul Boivin, who retired after a long and successful career. We lost Clean Andrei to free agency due to us not having room to him, but thankfully he found a home in Minnesota. Jakob Hamr we let go to free agency, and he is still a free agent. We let Daniel Laforest go in FA and he is also unsigned. Our biggest loss was Gabe, who went to Atlanta in free agency. We did call up outstanding rookies Artemius Nystrom, Makrus Jager, Sven Svechnikov, Pasta the Turtle, and Slavakov Vladimirashenko to fill the gaps. Finally, we made a trade to send KOBO to Toronto, and in return we got elite offensive force Liam Slate. Overall, the future is bright in Edmonton!

It works like a photocopy of your brain, allowing you to live your life inside the simulation while also having a normal life outside of it, as you've been doing your whole life. The SHL has already collected the consciousnesses of a large number of SHLers, past and present, to begin constructing teams for the ultimate all-time SHL legend tournament.

PROMPT 2 : I think the Anchorage Armada will have a better season next season for sure. We only lost Jay Sink ( really not a big loss, that guy stinks!) and Cole Carter (he is the goat but he's taught us pretty well) and Towelie (he was high all the time anyways, would never show up to training on time), that's about all that we really lost. We have good guys like Cup Noodle and Spack Jarrow and Dom Tretyak that used the long offseason to really train well and become big guys. We also drafted two good defensemen, ready to make our defense legendary, the best that ever was in the SMJHL. If there ever was a season where the Anchorage Armada could win the 4 Star Cup, it's this one. This lineup will definitely go down in the history books, expect many many great things from them. Also expect to see Spack Jarrow to have a MVP performance this season.
