There are a number of ways to train hand eye coordination and many of them are just fun. Bouncing a ball off of a wall and catching it is a great way to start it. Video games are also a great way to work on it. Basically anything that requires your eyes and hands to work together. So really its less about finding the best way to do it and finding the way you wanna do it. When Grondlund's favorite is to just get a street puck and smack it around similar to throwing a ball towards a wall and catching it. Except its more focused towards hockey players, particularly forwards and defensemen. But regardless Grondlund's not a teacher, but he would be more then willing to help people practice the skills. Hand eye coordination is super important for everyone to practice, regardless if you play sports are not. Things that actively get the brain working are good for mental strength. So get out there and do the thing.

This might not be the most popular answer to this PT, but if legendary defensemen from the 80's Bobby Orr came to visit me, more likely than not my first question would be "who the heck are you?" Because before I read this prompt, I had no idea who that was! See, I'm not much of a hockey buff, and so most of the sports history is lost on me. But, if I had to guess, I'd assume that someone that made a famous name for himself as a defenseman was probably not just good at playing defense in hockey but was probably also a bit of a bruiser (again, mainly just getting this from context clues within the question). That style of play reminds me of my first player, Dork Dipplet, who wasn't really good at uhhhh.... anything when it comes to hockey, but the man knew how to throw a punch, and found himself a home in Toronto mainly specializing in doing just that. Maybe Muon could use a bit more toughness on the ice....

Well, I will not be blackmailed by some ineffectual, privileged, effete, soft-penised, debutante. You want to start a street fight with me bring it on but you're gonna be surprised by how ugly it gets, you don't even know my real name-

So last night, me and the boys were slinging around the pickle and you know, sometimes it just gets caught in the shredding, and then someone had to go up there and get the Kitty cat while they were there. Just a bunch of dumb stuff, hot water heaters, you know everyone doesn't care but they always do care but also wear sunny. And I can see clearly now. The rain is gone, it's not gone and it hasn't been seen. Is this even the right team? Like when you think about it , what really happens when people go on airplanesdo they actually reach the astro plane or does the plane just imagine Like why can't voice to text part like it used It really sucks now and it doesn't work that well. And it shuts off and it's dumb and it makes me mad. All I want to do is get my pt It's a media, get some money and just be on my way. Dude as a good fiddle you know what I mean

John Brown feels very confused meeting this "Orr" person, as he has never heard of such a person. The general bulk of their conversation is comprised about trying to understand who each other are, as John Brown again, has never met such a professional hockey player. In fact, John Brown asks a lot of questions about their historical perspective and what they think of very important issues, such as things like slavery and modern day prisons known as for profit prisons. It makes him very interested in the state of the world to learn from someone who is both older and yet younger than John Brown, because time clearly makes no sense here. It's very confusing but John Brown does his best to catch on. Ultimately, this means that John Brown has no idea about what he was supposed to do with this ghost because he was too busy asking about historical perspectives from a ghost.

Oh, I would tell them that the best way to increase your hand eye coordination would be that you have to cover yourself in peanut butter. I know that this sounds ridiculous but trust me it works. Imagine that you have to catch a tennis ball thrown very hard against the wall, yeah that makes sense. Now imagine you were also covered in peanut butter. That gets a lot harder so it’s essentially its like working with training weights. Like rock lee. it’s very important however, that you do not use crunchy as that will cause a lot of chafing. Once you’ve covered yourself in peanut butter and you’ve gotten a little used to using a tennis ball and doing that drill. You are then going to work on some thing a little bit more intense. You’re going to do the tennis ball but you’re also going to have a bunch of dogs in the room. So we’ve taken all this and we’ve now elevated it, Now of course please wear underwear when doing this.

WOWIE! Bobby Orr! Patya am hearing much about this player growing up. Patya father always telling him about how great he am being. Wait, what is this? Why am Patya have pharmacy receipt? Why is this signed by Bobby Orr? This not making any sense, Patya very confused. Oh well, it was much nice of Bobby Orr for tell Patya all about his life and about much silly things that happen and how he like for play the hockey and revolutionize defense position. Patya thinking maybe just take away from this that there is room for evolution in game, but also to not take game so much serious all the time. Patya am still needing to find the fun. If Patya had to ask Bobby Orr one thing, it would be how he managed to change the game so much, like what inspired him for play so different from those who came before. Patya being honest when he saying he have no clue how Bobby Orr answer this question, but Patya betting it would be good no matter how short or long reply is.

After the last few nightmares, now my player has been visited by the legendary Bobby Orr. After this visit my player was gradually shaken up as he is constantly thinking about the weaknesses that surround his game on the ice. Specifically, his shooting and defensive abilities that he has often been criticized about but he has never let that get to him before. Minute by minute go by and Slurpe can not shake these thoughts, he constantly begins to overthink and rushes to get dressed and go to the practice rink early; to try and help him off set these thoughts. He arrives at the arena and sees the parking lot if busier than normal... He walks into the rink and sees almost all of his teammates on the ice early, and to his disbelief they all had a similar nightmare. The entire team gets on the ice and the visitor from the previous night is greatly impacting their place and performance on the ice.

Ryland has always been a firm believer in building up hand eye coordination, hes big on basic fundamentals of the game and makes it a priority every so often to get better at it. Doubtful that any of his teammates would talk to him, he loves that new fad going around where players incorporate the use of treadmills. He stands near the end of a treadmill as other people strategically place random items like orange cones or sandbags. At first what seems like a very rhythmic training session, soon becomes out of hand when people start sending things down the treadmill. Random items like a broken toilet... a garbage disposal system from under a kitchen sink...the actual kitchen sink, basin included...a smashed porcelain bathroom sink...a modern refrigerator with wifi capabilities...a transmission from a 67 chevy stingray. All items help raise eye hand coordination and awareness one way or another.

With the introduction of even more adavnced AR and VR systems in the mainstream world, it was a given that its use in furthering sports training was a matter of time. Regardless of any sport, the ability to train reaction time and hand eye coordination was a necessity. Thanks to a certain fruit company partnering with the SHL, teams had access to new methods of improving their players. Even with days off, travel or anything else that would take athletes away from the traditional gym, it became a new opportunity for these players to find themselves working on firing their neurons just miliseconds faster. Unfortunately even though this advantage came across the desk of any team and every player, it meant that it became a staple for all skaters. For whatever reason goalies weren't allowed to partake which might explain why their save percentage has dropped in recent history. The goalie union has been long in fights to ensure that their players also get the same quality of training and acess.

The lesson that Rasmus is supposed to have learned is that clearly this is a sign that he is destined for great things offensively, even if that has failed to material at any point is his career and he’s now coming to the point where it’s truly all downhill from here. Bobby was an absolute legend and if there’s some power at hand that’s sending him to talk to Rasmus, then it must mean that Rasmus has something to learn and gain from the experience. It means that he has some abilities that can be unlocked and maybe one of the legends of the game holds the key to unlock those abilities. It also means that maybe someone is trying to talk Rasmus out of his absolute disdain for the Boston Bruins, which is unlikely to happen given he feels that the team is the absolute scum of the NHL and nothing would be able to redeem them. However, maybe Bobby’s powers rubbed off and he’ll be able to get it going here this season.

I wonder if Orr even considered himself as an “offensive” defenseman. He seemed like a no nonse player who just played the game hard and happened to be heavily gifted at the offensive side of the game as well. Mikko, a player that grew up as an offensive defender during his time in Newfoundland, made the switch during his rookie season to develop as a winger for the team. Mikko would ask Orr what specifically separated Bobby from his peers during those years. Was Orr simply someone with an exceptional skill set that no one else had at the time? Was he simply working harder than those he was playing again? Or is there some secret sauce that none of us know about. I’m sure Orr would answer at first with something along the lines of “I was just blessed to play with other good players which helped raise my game to a level that no one really could have predicted at the time”.

As we all know, throwing a dodgeball is an incredible way to activate the parts of the brain that handle hand-eye coordination. In order to train, he does multiple drills, based on the five D's of dodgeball: dodge, duck, dip, dive, and dodge. For dodge, he has a specialized pitching machine fire balls towards him, and he has to dodge by standing on the left. For duck, he squats below where the pitching machine fires. For dip, he drops to the floor whenever the pitching machine pitches. for dive, he does a combination of both duck and dip, moving forward. For dodge, he stands on the right. You might be asking "how does this affect his hand-eye coordination? Well, he proceeds to take a ball and throw it right back at the machine out of anger, because he continuously gets hit.

My hand eye coordination secret? I’m glad you asked! The coaches don’t like hearing me say this due to them being a tad overworried about extracurricular injuries, but racket sports. Badminton, tennis, but not pickle ball (that shit’s not cool and you didn’t need me to tell you that). Builds wrist strength, requires reaction time and precision as well as building your wrists. Supposedly some fancy scientists out there say that video games help with that too but I doubt that. If I threw something at someone who plays video games all day they probably wouldn’t be able to react in time. I have better hand eye than some guy who plays “Runed Scape” or “Doh Tah” all day. Don’t always trust scientists, ya know? Sometimes they don’t tell you the whole truth. Where are you going? I’m not done talking yet…

Celly is now absolutely sure that these appearances are just a figment of their imagination. After all, if it were real, the ghost of Bobby Orr would not be feeding them erroneous information about the past and years and timeframes in the midst of all of his waxing poetic about off-ice shenanigans. At least that wasn't most of the interaction, though, fake or otherwise; the receipt could have come from anywhere, especially since Celly's from New England as it is! Maybe it's just a weird gift from their cousin that just happened to turn up nearby after this weird Bobby Orr dream.
But if there is a point to this, it must be that Celly's subconscious is telling them they don't play a balanced enough game. However, given that their primary motivation is to score goals and rack up big numbers (seeing as everyone knows that if you score enough goals, defense is irrelevant), they're most likely going to ignore this warning and continue on a path of total offensive obliteration.

I would tell my teammate to play APEX LEGENDS to train their hand eye coordination skills. It's a fast paced battle royale game with a lot of movement and aim needed to be successful - aka perfect for training some hand eye coordination. Either playing on keyboard and mouse, or using a controller, you have to be able to time up movements and inputs well in order to execute successfully in the game. It takes a lot of practice, but it does improve your reaction time and coordination skills.
Otherwise, you could just do some strandard tennis ball catching training or something like that. Isn't that what goalies do to train their hand eye skills? I'm sure players could do that too, have a trainer toss tennis balls at them randomly to improve their reflexes and coordination. If that doesn't work, there's no hope for my teammate. Maybe being a coach is the way for you in that case. |
