S80 PT #1: The Greatest Show On Earth Due: Sunday, December 22nd @ 11:59 PM PST

Mikkel would fair alright overall compared to most hockey players. Why is that? Well the sport he partakes in is not the usual side gigs many hockey players do (golf - boring!) but likes to play baseball and lacrosse on the side. Basketball related things would be where he totally fails out but football should be serviceable for him to get some points in whatever task is given, minus maybe anything quarterback related. Hockey would be likely be something for them to sweep as anyone who specializes in that sport would be able to - with Baseball/ footballs likely have him be able to push near the top end of the scores to give them enough to take it overall - but skating and running are two different beasts. The mix of eye control from playing both hockey and baseball though would give a solid edge with anything catching related as well as ball tracking for striking. It would all depend on what the list of required sports to play would be really.

Written Option 2: Home Opening nights are usually big shows for the hosting team. Fans are watching with anticipation, waiting for the first look at what their favourite teams are going to look like this season. How does your player try to make opening night special? Do they stay behind to sign autographs for the fans? Do they give it 120% to get a win for the first home game of the season? Do they do special celebrations when introduced in the pre-game ceremony?

Alexandros is never one to like fan interactions all that much, he is very much more of a serious person but he would never shy away from autograph signing and interviews as necessary if its what the fans wanted going into the home opener. This especially has been very true for Alexandros as the first rung of the rebuild for the coveted Chicago Syndicate franchise and he has had his fair share of seasons being flocked by fans and having expectations everywhere. This season feels a bit different for old Alexandros though. He is undoubtably a big name in the franchise still and many still wish to speak to him and want autographs which he is happy to do. But the most special thing he did this season was take a step back as the new wave of prospects make their way in and let them take center stage. He’s a bit envious to see himself be put to the side for the new wave but he sees it, sees the others taking their steps and he can’t help be happy to see them come up despite it signalling him coming down.

Dominik doesn't go out of his way to do anything special for the home opener each year, but he does love being able to interact with the fans during the pre-game fan walk and at the fan festival before the game. It's a good chance for him to give back to the community simply by giving up his time. It's not something that is particularly hard, but he likes being able to say hi to the community, get to sign some autographs for the younger fans, and generally just have a good time while he's there before settling into the groove of the regular season. it can be hard to have these moments with the fans once the games kick off, outside of the season ticket holder events, and its good to be able to give back to those that aren't season ticket holders and the more regular fans of the organization and of Dominik as well.

Written Option 2

The opening night of Season 80 for the Seattle Argonauts was a home game against their divisional rivals, the Edmonton Blizzard. For defenseman AT-AT Wøllker, he was feeling a lot more relaxed than last season. Last year he was a rookie about to play his first ever regular season game in the SHL, and he was a bundle of nerves. But this season, he felt a lot more confident about what his role was going to be and that he could play at this level. So he definitely had a more loosey-goosey aura about himself. The most fun thing the Argonauts did was to have every player shadowed by a youth league player from the local hockey league, get to come and share in the warmups and stand on the ice for the national anthems. So AT-AT made sure to engage his little doppleganger and have some fun with him, they even pretended to drop the gloves and have a tussle in front of the fans, got some good photo opportunities for the kid and his family. When all was said and done, AT-AT did not have a great game, not a terrible game either, but the important thing was the Argos won the game and sent the fans home happy and get off to a good start!

Written option 2:

With it being opening night, the most important thing to Mel is making sure it's a memorable night for the fans, so his first priority is to give everything he has for his team to with the game, whether it be throwing a few more hits or pilling off a few more fancy movies to give the crowd a show, he'll be giving his all to get his team the win for the fans. That's not all he'll do though. Because it's all about the fans, he'll make sure to take public transit to the rink for the game and practice, taking pictures or signing autographs with whatever fans he comes across. He'll spend some extra time after practice interacting with the fans as well as staying after the game to meet some more fans. The last thing he'll do is sign the stick he used in the opening night game and give it to a lucky fan in the crowd, making sure it's a really special night for a lucky fan

Written option 2
Oliver Cornwall is a big believer in doing things for the fans as the season rolls along, but especially on opening night. He shows out to the rink early, making sure to sign autographs and take pictures with all of the fans who arrived early. From there, he makes sure to rile up his teammates, paying extra attention to fellow rookie Louis to make sure that everyone is ready to show out on opening night. During the game, Oliver pays special attention to laying the body against whoever is unlucky enough to be in his proximity. With his rugby background, Oliver is a big believer in laying the shoulder into whoever is in his vicinity. After the game, he sticks around and mingles with the fans, chatting and getting to know the folks who took the time out of their day and the money out of their pockets to support their home town Wolfpack!

Written Option 1:Dubbed “The Greatest Show on Earth”, your player was invited to participate in the game show filled with other athletes from other sports leagues to see which league is the best. The game show is filled with various tasks revolving around baseball, soccer, football and hockey so each contestant has something they’re great at. Does your player go? How do they do? Who are the other athletes involved? What sport does your player do worst in?

Tom Pedersen will of course participate. This is the kind of competitions Tom Pedersen loves to watch and would be so totally honoured to participate in one. Soccer or football as the correct term is. Americans can complain all they want about it, but American football hardly involves the feet. They should rather call it assball since they use their asses almost as much. But that is just me ranting away. Football would be Tom Pedersen’s goto sport outside of hockey as he loves it. He is watching more football than hockey to be honest.Baseball is hardly a sport. More something kids play at school in the gym. Tom can contribute there as well. The American football Tom should be able to play defense, but not be able to throw that weird ass ball. Players that would participate in the contest depends on which channel that would be airing the show. If it is an American tv-show it would probably be filled with pornstars, cocaine addicted former celebrities that need to revitalise their careers and some republican politicians in addition to athletes. If it is a Norwegian show they would add Aksel Hennie, Sophie Elise, John Arne Riise, Johan Golden, Henrik Elvestad, Else Kåss Furuseth and Isak Dreyer to add some drama.

Of course NoNo Jo was invited. He’s the best and has the biggest fan base. Holla. The other athletes are some of the GOATS, Ilona Maher, Reece Weaver, and Mia Hamm. There are a few other ones too but I can’t remember their names of the top of my head so I’ll skip them. NoNo Jo is the only athlete with the experience of Hockey, so he blows that out of the water. He puts up a good fight in Rugby against Ilona, but she knocks him on the ground with her brute strength and he is out for the rest of the game. Reece has a VO2 max out of this world and does pretty darn good in all of the non-contact endurance sports. Mia Hamm wipes the floor in soccer. It all comes down to the last sport this show has planned to see who the winner would be- foosball. NoNo Jo is confident, he had one of these growing up and didn’t get any screen time so many hours were dedicated to the increased skill of foosball. Reece hasn't played much, but at an average build compared to some of the other athletes, she has an advantage at the table. Reece takes the gold. She is ecstatic and thanks her fellow DCC for the support and positivity.

I think the opening night is equally big for the players and the fans. For the players, you can have new teammates, new coaches, new linemates, or new expectations. The first game the season after you have a terrible season can turn your fortune around if you get the win. Expectations are higher if you had a good season, so it may be a little easier for you.  I don’t think Dunkler does anything different hockey wise. With all the variables of the game, I don’t think it makes sense to add in any more randomness simply because its opening night.

For the fans however, Dunkler would certainly pitch in however he could to help make it special. Signing jerseys before or after the game is a given. Definitely toss some extra pucks up over the glass during warmups for the home crowd. Sometimes the team may even do some big red carpet event as the players arrive, which Dunkler loves.

Everyone in the San Francisco Pride organization have finally caught on that Viktor will say yes to pretty much anything and everything as long as you mention proceeds or donations going towards animal welfare. So, yeah, he definitely reverses his knee-jerk "absolutely not" reaction when management brought up funding a local low-cost spay and neuter program. No matter the occasion, competition does activate the little gremlin in Viktor's brain that helped make him a champion, and while he may be competing against stars from other sports, odds are that none of them can skate in a straight line. That alone should give him a huge advantage. Among his fellow contestants, Viktor may recognize one of the many Koves: PBE's own Erol Kove, who unfortunately is Canadian and therefore familiar-ish with a pair of skates. There will also be a literal cat with giant, unblinking eyes named Peregrin Plink from the SSL, and uh....a bunch of unfamiliar football players. I won't go so far as to predict a win for Viktor, but his worst sport will be the aforementioned football.

Written Option 1:

Man, I love game shows. I could watch the game show network for hours and hours if i let myself. Anyways, of course my player would go! Nostradamus has vast knowledge of all sports, he keeps up with everything to do with various sports including tracking stats, following teams and transactions and the history behind it. I would like to think that they'd choose some pretty stiff competition, I know for sure that Mark Scheifele is an absolute hockey nut so I'd like to think he'd also get the nod, LeBron James has been known to keep track of basketball pretty well and Jaylen Brown i think is a an absolute whiz and scholar, as for baseball I think it'd probably be someone like Zobrist or Ohtani who have played all over the field as they mustve had to get so much training and baseball knowledge to be able to perform at the highest level so fluently. Nostradamus would probably do the worst in soccer, he just generally finds the game to be boring and has a hard time keeping track of the forty five pro leagues, oh? that's me?, i'm sure Nostradamus feels the same way.

Any chance you get to play in front of the home fans is special, but it's undeniable that the homer opener is even more so. After an offseason that feels way too long, seeing all the excited faces in the seats really gives you some extra fire in your legs. I wouldn't say I give 120%, because I give it everything I have in every game I play, but I won't deny that I feel the extra motivation and desire to win. In terms of making sure it's a special occasion for the fans, I just try and make myself available for anything the team wants to organize to connect with our supporters. If that's an intermission interview or staying late to do a meet and greet, or recording videos for the Jumbotron, I will gladly do it all. I remember being that little kid in the stands and thinking it was so cool that these hockey players would take the time to give us attention, so I want to make sure I can instill they same feeling in others now.

Option 2: Firstly before the game kaarlo koivunen will meet with fans do signatures and overall just talking and interacting with the fans and hopefully making some good memories from young fans to old fans to rememmber the opening night for this season after that is done kaarlo will do his usual pre game routine and when the pre game ceremony starts he doesn't do anything special but for the game his goal is to score at least a single goal and try to make many good plays so that the fans will have a good opening night for forever also if he will play in an away game for that teams opening night his goal is to make sure the home team loses and try to silence the crowd but before game he doesn't try to do anything shitty or anything like that along with that after the opening home game he would try to again interact and meetup with fans to make their night even more special

Written Option #2:

Never the most recognizable or sought after player on his teams, it doesn't change the fact that Matviy Cajabi does his best to get his team and fans alike hyped up for the season opener (and every game for that matter).

When not playing and honing his craft, he spent a good portion of last season working with experienced magicians and illusionists to make a memorable entrance when his name was called during the opening night introductions. You'd be forgiven for thinking it was real when a bat fluttered down to the ice and transformed into Cajabi in front of everyone's eyes. Definitely just a magic trick though. Totally not a vampire.....

Signing autographs and vampire transformations aside, Cajabi also booked out an entire section of the arena for people to bring their dogs. Seeing eye, therapy, just any dog really. A bunch of animals unfamiliar with one another in an enclosed space with thousands of people and loud noises. What could go wrong? One way or another, it's sure to be an exciting time for all of those involved. Plus, awwww dogs!
