S80 mPT #5: See You Later Due: Sunday, January 19th @ 11:59 PM PST

I actually think the Central is mapped out right. If I had to remove one team, it would be Winnipeg. Only because they are the only Canadian team in the division. Then it becomes, who fits into the central from there? Maybe Atlanta?

I would replace chicago with hamington for the simple reason of them placing higer in the league but not placing high enough in their own division to make the playoffs (my personal opinion is playoffs based on playoffs standings because it would make things more intresting and im used to it)

I think the conferences are fine the way they are. But for the sake of this weekend, I’d say Buffalo. We already have the Bills playing the Ravens, we don’t need another Buffalo/Baltimore heavyweight fight in the playoffs!

Geographically I think the Pacific division is aptly named with teams from California, Washington and Alberta all being pretty close together and 3 of them being right beside the Pacific Ocean. If I had to remove one though I guess I'd pick Los Angeles because they've been our biggest rival over the last several years now. I'd replace them with Montreal because I like wins.

Calgary and Edmonton, would be my choices, since they are in a similar rebuild to us. But if I could only pick one I would pick calgary, since Im an oilers fan. We could then take Chicago.

i would like it if san fransisco was taken out of our division because then we'd get to be top (this season at least) they've had their time in the sun for the last like, decade. bring someone in a rebuild like montreal to our division so that we can enjoy their brief down period for a season or two then have a healthy battle for divisional leader

Y'know what? Get rid of the entire division except for Atlanta and give us wins for all of the games we hypothetically would have played so we constantly make the playoffs. Get those other guys out of here, I'm not picky with specific teams or anything like that. Replace them with... uh... more Quebec teams or something. Or let Washington, D.C. have a team? Honestly, that could be pretty interesting.

Thanks @Amidships!

If it were up to me, in the SMJHL I would move Ottawa to the Northern conference and Great Falls to the Southern conference. Even though Great Falls is further North than Ottawa, it would make more sense for all the Canadian teams (plus Anchorage) to be in one division and all the American teams to be in the other.

It would ABSOLUTELY have to be Quebec City. It would be, not only a service to the Whalers, but most likely to the SMJHL as a whole.

You're welcome, SMJHL.

Removing a team from the Northern Conference isn't too hard. Aside from their one cup final run, they've basically never been good in my time on the site

While I have many thoughts about who should/shouldn't stay in the Atlantic Division, I can't make a reasonable argument to why teams should move other than for competitive balance.

I'll say move Baltimore into the Northeast, and kick out Montreal. Montreal is consistently bad, so they can happily get smacked around by the group of death the Atlantic has been throughout the last 10 seasons. Baltimore can go to the happy retirement village that is the Northeast. We'd have a better chance of winning a playoff series (and would end up losing to the same teams we do anyway when it ends up being another all Atlantic ECF!

This is probably supposed to be about the SHL teams . . . But as I have yet to dominate that league play a game in the show, I'll stick with what I know.  I would gladly swap the Newfoundland Berserkers with the Detroit Falcons.

That way I wouldn't get stoned by Katharina Rosenthal as many times a year and I'd get to see Detroit's beautiful sweaters more often.  Win win.

Toronto North Stars would have to go, i don't think anyone would mind right, especially not leafs4ever, who likes toronto anyway right? Easy decision to remove.
Truth be told, i dont even care much but had to type something for the word limit

Former players:
Ivo Willems (S9 SMJHL) (S10-28 SHL)
Xander Green  (S33-35 SMJHL) (S36-47 SHL)
Vorian Atreides (S49-51 SMJHL) (S52-61 SHL)

If I had the choice and knowledge I would kick out Minnesota and add in St. Louis. Minnesota is pretty close to us and I hear it is pretty cold up there so its like CA adjacent.

I would just toss all teams around so those that are best would play in the playoffs. Many good teams are located in the same division, while shitty teams are located in another.
