Good afternoon SHL,

Earlier today, it was brought to HO’s attention that the updates for certain players were missing from the file currently being used for the playoffs. As a follow up, we investigated these claims which were founded, but have also uncovered that all updates preceding the start of the playoffs are missing. It was determined that the updates had been properly done by the fileworkers, but that the wrong file had been used for the first day of sims and onwards.

With this in mind, HO deliberated and by a majority vote determined that with precedent existing with similar circumstances, a complete resim would occur. The format for sims would stay the same (games in different sims) but all be quick simmed as to expedite the process. As such, three games will be quicksimmed tonight and the rest tomorrow. GM’s will be given time between games to adjust lines and tactics as usual and the following rounds will proceed normally.

We understand that this will affect people both positively and negatively in some cases but are confident that considering the extended issues that it is the best decision to assure fairness for all. It is no less a difficult decision to make.
