Way too early SHL draft rankings

edit: I forgot about GMs and co-gms, so I have gone back and added that they will be automatically drafted by the teams they manage

A quarter of the way into the SMJHL season, this massive draft class is pumping out media and earning TPE like menaces. It is shaping up to be an exhilarating SHL draft with so many amazing players that there is sure to be value into later rounds. As it is, I have been maintaining an spreadsheet that ranks TPE and bank accounts, pulling data at random intervals so that I am able to track change over time. That said, when creating these (way too early) draft tiers, I am using a combination of TPE earned and bank accounts to create draft tiers. There are certain variables which may inflate values, so instead of just going based off of total TPE (which may be inflated by players who have done their deep dives early, or purchased training that others have not) or bank accounts (some massive bank accounts may skew data, and may not be as much of a deciding variable in my opinion) I am going based off of relative ranks.

With all that being said, here is your tier 1 WAY TOO EARLY shl draft prospects

Bartholomew Aittokallio Lorequavius @jaypc8237 Left Wing drafted 6th overall by the Kelowna Knights ** GM of Toronto North stars, so will have to go in the 2nd round

Bart is currently 2nd in TPE earned, and has the 6th biggest bank account, giving them the funds to continue their development into the professional league. Their bank account has grown 9,050,000  since Feb 20, suggesting they are a very active earner, and should this continue, will have a very healthy startingh position to continue being a max earner for whatever team is lucky enough to draft them

Pasta the Turtle II @visceralpotamus Right Defense drafted 20th overall by the Tampa Bay Walleyes

Pasta was able to get his deep dives done early enough to narrowly and temporarily claim the top TPE earner pole position. This is likely very short lived as other deep dives are completed and the charts correct - pasta was 6th in TPE before deep dives were graded. Pasta currently has the 8th largest bank, with a 3.9 million growth from Febuary 20th (which actually moved him up from the 9th largest bank at the time.

Patrick Rail @Prayl07 Left wing drafted 45th overall by the Anchorage Armada

The prolific winger has rocketed up the TPE rankings to sit at 4th overall (he was way back at 25th a week ago, making him one of the fastest risers). They have also had massive cash infusions resultant from their amazing media output (great reads - highly reccomend!). Currently sitting with the 16th (up from 30th) largest bank account, and with a 13.8 million growth this week Don't be surprised to see Patrick as one of the richest draft prospects by season end.

Wilhelm Seider @LordBirdman Center drafted 10th overall by Colorado Raptors

The German center is currently 14th in TPE down from 3rd, which probably just means their deep dives arent complete/graded yet. They are bouyed by their bank account, good for 7th in the class! This has remained largely stangant, with modest growth likely due to chirper activity. That said a veteran user with a healthy bank account is always a safe pick, and surely Seider has caught the eye of many SHL scouts, with the vocal exception of @Southie.

Thurston Bull @CapnCooper Center drafted 1st overall by the Detroit Falcons ** GM of Texas Renegades, so will go in the 2nd round

The impressive first overall pick has been firmly at 19th overall in TPE since last week, but boasts a MASSIVE bank account with 107,909,000 in savings! That makes his the 3rd largest in the class. While Thurston hasn't been necessarily "earning"much this season, he really doesn't need to at this point. Certainly a favourite to repeat as the first overall pick in the SHL draft!

Aartholomew Bittokallio Lorequavius @TheSparkyDee Right WIng drafted 7th overall to Kelowna Knights **co-gm for Toronto stars, so will go in the 5th
Evil Jordan Humphrey @GwdjohnsonRight Defense drafted 13th overall to Colorado Raptors ** co-gm for Hamilton Steelhawks so will go in the 5th (apparently against the wishes of the team)

This pair has very similar profiles. While both were tied for 12th in TPE last week they have dropped to 37th this week. I think this is a statistical anomaly, probably a combination of deep dives and a late update? In any case Aart has the 2nd largest bank and Evil has the 4th, so you would have to imagine any SHL team would be ecstatic to take either player very early in the SHL draft.

Tier 2

Gappy Hilmore @dude_man Left Defense drafted 39th overall San Diego Tide

Gappy is shaping up to be one of the steals of the SMJHL draft, as they are shaping up to be one of the first players to reach 350 TPE despite being a 3rd round pick. He was the TPE leader last week, so likely waiting on some deep dives to reclaim that thrown. With the 17th largest bank account in the draft class, it is healthy, but I am sure souts would like to hear what the plan is to supplement his income so that Gappy continues to be a max earner

Kelly McMahon @MN_Moosey Right Wing drafted 11th overall by the Great Falls Grizzly

Kelly is a player comfortably in the top 10 of TPE earners in this class. They also equally have a comfortable bank account with access to $33,921,000, good for 13th overall in this class. While TPE earning has been a strength, there has not been much movement with regards to the bank account - definitely an area of focus in the remaining weeks.

Koen Boekbinder @DELIRIVM Center drafted 19th overall by the Great Falls Grizzlies

Koen was the co-TPE leader alonside Gappy Hilmore a week ago, so will likely climb back up after Deep dives are completed. That said, they are currently 6th in TPE, with the 18th largest bank. Another example of an excellent TPE earner with a solid bank account, I am sure SHL gm's would like to hear what the financial plan is for Koen to continue to max earn

Toivo Jokinen @Toaster Right Wing drafted 2nd Overall to the St Louis scarecrows

I could definitely see Toivo skyrocket up this ranking as time goes on. They are currently 3rd in TPE for the class, but are held back by the 22nd largest bank account. That said, they are a prolific media creator, and have moved up 6 spots since last week. As long the continue producing an elite amount of content (highly recommend you check out what they create) I could absolutely see them as a contender for a VERY early pick again in the SHL.

Bingankus Glunksplosion @goldenglutes Right Defense drafted 49th overall by the Detroit Falcons

While having one of the most satisfying names to try and say outloud (and arguably a dangerous one to say in public), Bing has been a solid TPE earner, but is absolutely bouyed by the 5th largest bank account. Certainly would expect the Norweigen to continue to be able to afford training for the long run with $88,206,666 in the war chest.

Benoît Jean-Luc Boucher @EmoLeBron Center drafted 4th overall by the Mighty Tampa Bay Walleyes **co-gm for Tampa Bay Barracuda, so will go in the 5th

The French centerman sits at 14th and 15th in TPE and his bank respectively. Someone I look at in this tier that could fly up the rankings to repeat their SMJHL draft performance, or slide down a bit depending on how the are able to pad the bank account to reflect their TPE accumulation.

Kristaps Skalbergs @Ashes Left Defense drafted 36th overall by the Dominant Tampa Bay Walleyes

Another draft day steal, the Latvian stalwart has been a prolofic TPE earner, but drops in this ranking due to his 27th overall bank account. While this is sure to rise, I believe both of these Whaolloping Walleyes are going to bound up the rankings in short order.

Thomas Passarelli @Tmoney6996 Left Wing drafted 5th overall by the Vancouver W-slurs
Ryan Dino-Nugget Hopkins @RLG91 left wing drafted 9th overall by the Carolina ** updated this from an incorrect draft position

I am combining these two players as the have almost identical porfiles. They are tied for 8th in TPE, showing that they intend to be very strong TPE earners. They have bank accounts in the late 20s for the draft class, indicating that they need to continue to pad the bank account in order to continue on their trajectory. That said, they are both showing financial growth from a week ago, so definitely anticipate this being only a short term issue.

Goalie Tier

It is hard to predict how goalies are chosen and when, so I just threw them into their own tier. Lots of room for somebody to seperate here, but there is not clear dominator to my eyes as of yet.

Yuri Satoshi @Zamrael Goalie selected 58th overall by the Kelowna Knights

Jonny Hockey @Jonnyhockey17 Goalie selected 37th overall by ANchorage Armada

Teemu Järvinen <3 @Omniscius Berserker legend drafted 44th overall to St Louis scarecrows
40th in TPE
29th in bank

Dark horses

There are a group of undrafted free agents who have been massive 100+ TPE leaps since last week - defintely some players to keep an eye on

Krish Gainz @LilGainz901
Jumped to 60th overall in TPE!

Mitch Matthews @Tdan04
72nd in TPE, but has a reasonably healthy bank account at 50th overall

Cole Slaw @2by2ark (great player name and username)
Leon el-Messin't @PonceAR
Devon Louchard @Barney02
Tito Loearner @Toivo
- Tito is one of the fastest risers in terms of money earning, going from the 113th in bank size to #19!

Brent Schultz III @Nhlbeastmode_7777
- also making that money going from 113th to 21st!

I will do my best to update periodically as the season goes on and draft hype intensifies!

like the tier but small heads up:

SHL GMs can pick their players with a 5th Rounder
SHL Co-GMs there are a 2nd Rounder needed.

I single-handedly have proven this isn't true. This isn't true at all.

Lol no one is taking Gabe early in the draft in fact the one team taking him you could argue is the opposite of ecstatic when it comes to his selection
