8. My question is how did Kyie Murray not get into the All Star Game? He’s the most electrifying man in all of sports and is a huge part of the Pride as their best goal scorer. He also is already a former all star, which is very impressive as a S67 player. It really does just show the bias of the all star committee that Kyie did not make the team, and I think I may know the reason why. See Eggcracker, head of the committee, has been caught “Getting sticky”, which allegedly means huffing maple syrup. Now can you effectively run a committee high on the sweet, sweet juice of the maple tree? I would say no, and Murray’s snub confirms that. Maybe if Egg and his Maplestroop buddies were as professional as a group like Mercedes, where Caleb runs a tight ship on his all star committee, true stars such as Murray would be on the team like they deserve.

Tell me about your teammate who made the all star game! Who are they, what makes their game special, and why are they going to rock the arena this ASG? (If more than one of your teammates made the game, pick one of those players other than yourself. If you are the only player on your team selected for the all star game so far, write about your team's candidate for last man in instead.)

In KEL, we havent really had too many all stars, but in this case we did have one that was probably very well deserving in Kevin Kim! Kim was pretty explosive for KEL throughout the year, especially when we started off blistering hot, he was averaging almost two points per game! Not only “but da points”, this dude also was rocking a very strong Coris, a very strong two way game overall, and was overall very strong in the faceoff dot. I can truly say he was one of the most and or best two way guys in the entire league! If I had to guess, this is the kind of person who rocks sweat pants and flip flops into the arena, mainly because he is too cool for skool! I expect him to also be coming in with a gatorade in one hand and a beer in the other, thats the Kevin Kim i picture!

Which player(s) should your teammate in the all star game be on a line or pairing with? Why? Is it because the all-stars you chose are similar to the ones they play with on your team, or different? What combination will really unlock your teammate's game? (If you are the only player on your team who made the all star list so far, write this task about your team's candidate for last man in!)

Can i be totally honey here, I think Activity Check, the Centre, should be the last man in, for KEL. As mentioned before, KEL does not get lots of nominations, but they should get in here. Activity Check is a capped, and explosive player for KEL, with a sublime awareness of where other players are on the ice at all times. With his ability to find teammates, electric shot that can score from anywhere on the ice, and offensive instincts, it would be pair perfectly with Kevin Kim, who’s a more defensive + 2 way threat on the ice. This pairing was not used often in KEL due to other line needs, but something that should not only be explored in KEL, but at this all star game – the fireworks would be electric! I think the all star game is a good place to show off your talents, your ability and your skills, so why not pair up this teammate duo and let the sparks and goals fly!

5. Written, 3 TPE, Last Men In (150 words min.)
Stump for one of your teammates (not yourself!) to be the last man in for your conference! Their game is special and the event will be worse if they don't get in - tell us how and why!

If we are being totally honest here, I think Tibuk the goalie for KEL, should be the last man in, if we are not including myself! Why? Because this is a capped earner, a player who has committed blood sweat and tears for KEL, and it is his last season before going to the majors! All of this aside, he is a high quality goalie who has a crazy amount of saves playing on some very sub-par KEL rosters with leaky defense, and hes been the only thing between blowouts and keeping KEL in the game! Another thing that he brings to the table is energy, excitement and a drive to succeed. His competitive spirit is basically what keeps KEL in the game most nights, and his ability to rally the boys when moments get tough is something to be admired and that deserves and all star game nod. He would be my choice, for his final sendoff!

“I thought I was a goalie, but STA told me forget being a goalie they make nothing, and no one cares about them.  Guess what I was a center all along and I had no idea. Now I am the toast of the town, and I am getting offers from all the GMs and Scouts.”

3. Konstantin Selich is once again among the All Star representatives for Buffalo and oh boy can this guy do everything. He led the league in goals, a particularly impressive feat considering Buffalo isn't the offensive juggernaut that, say, New England is. But this is no single-minded goal poacher, with his 60 assists outpaing his 59 goals. He is also the only forward on the primary power play line to also log significant shorthanded minutes, where he did more than just keep the puck out of his own net by tying the lead league for shorthanded goals. He was a net positive on faceoffs and his play remained strong throughout the season despite his high usage rate of over 23 minutes per game. Though his playstyle isn't the most physical, he still was always willing to sacrifice the body for his team, notching 64 blocks. Respected for his incredible offensive output, it is often overlooked just how much of an all-around player Selich is. (167 Words)

4. The ideal linemates for Konstantin Selich in the All Star game would be Sconnie McHits and Jimmy Larkin-Conway. There are several reasons for this, but it starts with allowing each player to play in their natural position. Often these types of teams are overloaded with centers and require some natural centers to shift to wing, but it would be a big mistake to allow Selich to play any position other than center where his talents are used to their full potential. With two natural wingers, there will be no confusion over what each players role is despite playing for different teams. These two wingers also cover the one "weakness" in Selich's game, which is that he isn't a physical presence. McHits and Larkin-Conway both readily throw their body around and do well to complement Selich's game on the defensive side. But more importantly, these are two players who have the hockey IQ and skills to keep up with the fast paced, high movement style of offense Selich excels at, and both possess a dangerous shot that will prevent defenses from cheating too much towards Selich. a. Offensive firepower is a close race this year, with the top two goal scorers in the league - Konstantin Selich and Ivan Lacksamus - both representing the East, while the next four in line - MST, Evan Winter, LEG, and Benjamin Surkhi-Ze'ev - will all be repping Westside. Which team scores more goals this all star game and why?
b. In terms of defensive points, the East may look like the team to beat, but Jay O'Neil and Christian Kinsinger were the top two goal scorers out of all defensemen and both will rep the West. Which team's blue line would you take?
c. Each conference brought back one tendie from last season, but will run a new tandem partner: which pair of Mat Smith and Justin Time or Brick Wall and Olof Karsikko would you rather play in front of and why? (If you are a goalie, explain why you should have gotten the nod!)
d. Why should YOUR player have made the all star game, and why should you be the last man in? (If your player did make the all star game, argue for one of your teammates instead!)

a. I think Western All-Star team will score more. The top 2 scorers are good but the next 4 top scorers are nothing to laugh at, with 3rd tying with 2nd but losing out on the Goals tiebreaker. Eastern team does outclass them in shots, though, but it'll be a tough contest for sure.

b. I think I'd take Easter All-Star team for their defensemen. Just like the forwards, the top 2 scorers being on the West are good but the next top scorers are nothing to laugh at. Plus, they have a few more additions to their team that will really benefit their defense overall.

c. I'd rather play in front of Justin Time and Mat Smith. They both combined have a better GAA and SV%. I understand playing in front of a literal Brick Wall is enticing for a team, but you just can't argue that Olof's numbers make him out to be the worst of the 4, only being propped up by the team in front of him in the regular season.

The Last Men In are now decided and the rosters are finalized. Who was a good pick? Who got snubbed?

Ben Der, the defenseman for the Toronto North Stars, was one of the selected players for the Last Players In in the All-Star game. I think this was a good pick because most of the people who got into the all-star game were highly offensive players and generally have a flashier game on the stats sheet than most. This ignores other key players in the league that prop up their team performance in different ways using less flashy methods, such as defensive defensemen. Ben Der is one of the "flashiest" defensive defensemen with astounding performances in shots blocked over the seasons, so I'm glad he was able to get into the Eastern All-Star team. I'm really biased, but I think Hodor got snubbed for the Western All-Star team for very similar reasons as Ben Der had for getting into the Eastern team. He's a good defensive defenseman and had similar stats to Ben Der, but didn't make it in.

There are only so many spots in the all-star game, but I think if the Panthers got to send another player it would be center, Derek Martin. Martin put up a nice even 33 goals and 33 assists for 66 points. My linemate was a -4 which was better than my plus/minus. We had the same points, but he put up more goals. I think there is some good chemistry and I enjoy being on the Martin line. He’s going to play a big role in the future of this team. Hopefully next season he will make the all-star game and get some of the national attention that he deserves. He’s wildly popular in Los Angeles, it’s now time for the rest of the league to celebrate him. Additionally, Adam Pprich had a good season with 23 goals and 42 assists on the first line and was a nice plus 16. He really contributed to a lot of the team’s victories over the course of the season.

A. It will be difficult for the West to contain the East when the two best goal scorers this season are on the East’s team. Will the eastern players mesh well? Will they drive each other to put up more goals in this game or will their personalities collide? Who will have the spotlight? The West could always surprise us. It should be a good shootout.
B. Jay O’Neil and Chrisitan Kinsinger are great, but I wouldn’t measure the quality of the blueline based on goals. Looking at the full picture, both blue lines are great for the East and West (I mean, it’s the all-stars, duh!). But with all things considered, and with what you’re looking for out of defensemen, shutdown, moving the puck around, logging minutes, you can give the nod to the East.

Which team scores more goals this all star game and why?

The West will probably score more since they have more top scorers. In FHM goalies don't matter so it's not like the goaltenders will make a difference, one conference clearly doesn't have a huge advantage in goal. So with the goaltending being a non factor it's a simple matter of numbers. The team with the more scorers will score more goals, it's the way the thing is designed. So in this case the West will outscore the East.

d. Why should YOUR player have made the all star game, and why should you be the last man in? (If your player did make the all star game, argue for one of your teammates instead!)

Dusty Rhodes should have been the last man in. The reason is quite simple, he's a huge fan favorite in the SHL. Fans like blue collar players and Rhodes is certainly that. They also like a physical style of play and again Rhodes fits this bill to a tee. He's not the best athlete but he's beloved and if he had a more pronounced role he would be right up there with the players the fans would demand to see in the all star game.

Valor made the only appearence for the Spectres this year. He is still a high tpe earner despite being in regression and is still quite a potent offensive force. He has made it clear that this is to be his last season in New Orleans as he is chasing the elusive cup. The Spectres are a young up and coming team but Valor's window to earn a cup here has definitely closed. So I think he'll be playing to showcase himself for his next team. He'd like to put on a show so all the cup contenders would possibly consider him the final piece of the puzzle to get the elusive cup. So I expect Valor to bring it all during the game whereas others may just see it as a bit of fun. He'll be playing for his final contract so expect Valor to be all in at this season's all star game. If he makes a good enough showing he can cement his shot for the remaining seasons of his career.

Atticus Hale should probably have made the All Star team. A better than point per game player he was just behind Valor for the Spectres in scoring. What makes Hale significant however is that a great many of his points were during five on five. It's much easier to score and be a power play specialist and ut up loads of points but Atticus did the hard scoring and put in the tough minutes this season for the Spectres. He also had 72 blocks and 91 hits for New Orleans. This means he was a very valuable player for the Spectres, doing every job on the ice basically. A great two way player it's quite clear that Atticus should have been honored and given the nod. We can only hopes he picks up this season's award for best two way forward as a consolation prize. That would go a long way to easing the sting of not being chosen to represent his team at the all star game.

I would have to say the East team will score more goals in this All-Star game. The sheer amount of firepower in that lineup is unbelievable. 9 of the top 15 scorers this season will all suit up for the East. Also all have scored over 40 goals, which totals to over 400 goals. East all day
b.
In this situation, I would have to take the East defenders as well. O'Slapahan, Samuelsson, Emerson, Koivu, Dangle, and Der.... That is a solid group right there. 5 of the top 7 in defenseman points. This group is also very solid defensively and more phsycial group as well. The advantage goes to the East again.
c.
Once again I will have to give the edge to the East Goaltenders. Brick Wall was 3 in Wins, 6th in GAA, 1st in GSAA, 3rd in Save%, and tied for 1st in shutouts. The best lines for all goaltenders in the league. Justin Time puts up a great agruement for best goalie in the league with his stats as well. But Wall and Karsikko are the younger duo combined. So edge East
d.
Lord Raiden should have made the all-star roster no questions asked. He is one of only a few old veterans left in the league. Raiden is a very smart player given all his experience and years in the league. He knows how to make plays. But what you cant see on the stat line is heart. You will be hard pressed to find someone with a bigger heart and the determination that Lord Raiden plays with. Yea he has lost some steps but I guarantee that he could still make some of the young guns look foolish out there.

a. When it comes to offensive firepower, I'd put my money on the West, no doubt. Sure, Konstantin Selich and Ivan Lacksamus are goal machines for the East, but look at the Westside crew – MST, Evan Winter, LEG, and Benjamin Surkhi-Ze'ev. That's like a goal-scoring dream team right there. They've got chemistry, they've got finesse, and they're going to light it up. West scores more goals because they've got more firepower and a killer combo of talents.

b. Now, on the blue line, I'd roll with the West's defensemen any day. Jay O'Neil and Christian Kinsinger, they're the real deal. Yeah, the East might have more defensive points on paper, but these guys bring the complete package. They can snipe goals and lock it down defensively. Trust me, they're gonna make a huge impact for the West.

c. If I had to choose a goalie tandem to play in front of, I'd go with Mat Smith and Justin Time. Smith's got that consistent game, you can always count on him. And Justin Time, well, the name says it all – he's quick, agile, and he'll save your bacon when you mess up. They've got the chemistry and skills to keep the puck out of the net, no doubt about it.

d. Why should I have made the All-Star Game and maybe be the last man in? Simple, I've been bringing my A-game all season long. Scoring goals, setting up plays, you name it. I've been a game-changer for my team, no bragging, just facts. But hey, if I'm already in, I'd argue for one of my teammates who deserves a shot. We're a tight-knit crew, and their skills and hard work deserve some All-Star love too. It's all about the team, man.

I'm thrilled to talk about my teammate, Shoyo Hinata, who earned his spot in the All-Star Game this year. Shoyo is a dynamic forward with a natural scoring touch that's second to none. What makes his game special is his ability to find the back of the net in the most clutch situations. He's got this innate sense of timing and positioning that allows him to capitalize on the smallest of openings, making him a constant threat in front of the goal. But it's not just his scoring prowess that sets him apart. Shoyo's work ethic is unparalleled. He's always the first one on the ice during practice and the last one off it. His dedication to honing his skills and improving every aspect of his game is truly inspiring. He's a team player through and through, setting up plays and creating opportunities for his linemates as much as he's putting pucks in the net. When it comes to the All-Star Game, Shoyo is going to rock the arena because he thrives in high-pressure situations. He's got the confidence and composure to shine on the big stage. Whether it's a breakaway, a power-play opportunity, or a crucial faceoff, you can bet that Shoyo will deliver. His presence on the ice elevates the entire team, and I have no doubt that he'll leave a lasting impression in the ASG, dazzling fans and fellow players alike with his scoring prowess and all-around game. Shoyo Hinata is the real deal, and he's going to light up the All-Star Game.

Pairing Shoyo Hinata with Konstantin Selich in the All-Star Game is a no-brainer for maximum excitement. While they aren't regular linemates on our team, this combo promises a thrilling display of skills. Imagine this: Hinata's lightning-fast speed and unmatched agility, combined with Selich's sniper-like precision. It's a match made in hockey heaven. Hinata's ability to zip past defenders and create scoring opportunities perfectly complements Selich's knack for finding the back of the net. What makes this pairing so intriguing is the contrast in their playing styles. Hinata brings relentless energy and quick reflexes, while Selich is the composed, deadly finisher. It's like a high-speed chase ending with a pinpoint-accurate shot. Opposing defenses would be caught off guard, struggling to contain this dynamic duo. Putting these two together would not only delight fans but also give the opposing team nightmares. The chemistry that could develop in a short time would be explosive. Hinata and Selich on the same line would unlock the full potential of Hinata's game, creating numerous scoring opportunities and memorable moments. It's a recipe for an unforgettable All-Star Game, where their unique styles blend to create hockey magic on the ice.

Aleksandr Iskandrov made the all-star game this year, as he should every year, and I'll outline why shortly. Put simply he has many intangibles other players simply do not have. Primarily, Aleks knows how to play every map in the Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Seige competitive map pool (or rotation, whichever you prefer). He also recently got promoted to a really really high rank in the game and that also correlates closely with all-star-level hockey... Look it up folks, trust me. Aleks also boasts an encyclopedic knowledge of the long-running, and legendary 'Epic Rap Battles of History' series on YouTube, knowledge that will surely come in handy on the ice. On top of these two marquee traits, Aleks also does a very funny bit with a goblet of water where he holds it up towards the camera in a way reminiscent of that Great Gatsby meme. Perhaps he will use this move as a celebration that will undoubtedly get under the skin of his opponents in a big way.

I may be biased but they both should've been Hammy players, to be honest, terrible decisions, awful terrible, and frankly rude! No hate to the two who got in I guess... First in should be Tommy Westbrook (but he updates this time) because he is very important to our FIFA pro clubs team, which may not necessarily be related to his performance on the SHL ice but it is important to me. He has also been around a long time and scores lots of goals, whilst writing very thought-provoking PTs and media pieces. On top of this he has more TPE than me so that's an automatic slam for the all-star game. Other than that, I actually do think Bobby McGinnis was in with a shout this year for real and will almost certainly feature at some point in the future, he earns like crazy and Bobby seems to be favored by the sim engine (in a deserving way). Only his 3rd SHL season and blud puts up 94 points and is already at 1386TPE, huge numbies! Just a well rounded player with 17s in almost all categories already and a clear earning history and solid path forward with a young-ish Hammy team, this year arguably should've been first all-star appearance of many.

Mat Smith is an absolute legend in the league and Pengu has already been playing in front of him for most of his own career. The fact is Mat has always been an incredibly reliable goal keeper and in his old age he just continues to set records and succeed. No one has quite done it as well as he has for as long as he has. d. Pengu should have made it in because no one else quite provides tasty treats like he does.

I believe defenseman Ben Jammin would play incredibly on any line you stuck him on. The player piloted by one of the most kind souls in all of sim leagues could easily fit into any group and make it work because he's every bit as selfless as he is generous and he can elevate any player. That said I think he'd do incredible on a line consisting of players like Videl Valor, Christian Kinsinger, and Lias Ekholm-Gunnarsson the most. Why you might ask? Well because these are the oldest players representing the Western Conference! You see Ben comes from a team absolutely slammed full of elderly overachievers who continue to prove that age is just a number and regression is a myth! The older these players are, the better Ben is at helping them to look good! After all his entire career people have been saying that Chicago's old people will regress and yet he's been there the whole time as they've proved the pundits wrong time and time again. (170 words)

Well, this make Patya sad because is no longer teammate, but let Patya am be telling you about Videl Valor. Sometimes, Patya am hearing maybe peoples not so much liking Videl Valor. Patya not knowing why. Patya thinking Videl just talkative but is very nice person and great teammate. Patya miss Videl in locker room. Videl much good player who am score much points and have great career! They much fast and great skater, who laying silky passes and have great shot! Patya really excited for see another friend play in All-Star game. Is always make Patya so much full of prides! Patya just hoping Videl Valor am showcase self much more so get many more fans! Patya really thinking Videl deserve this! Maybe Patya much more famous for being such outgoing and outspoken and flashy, like some other Patya know called Patrik Laine, and maybe Videl never be like this, but is okay. Patya just thinking Videl should be more known because is very good player and cool person.

Patya thinking maybe is best for showcase Videl Valor skill if paired with other great players! Patya was thinking Matsmith Söderberg-Tremblay and Evan Winter be great linemates! Patya also think maybe Benjamin Surkhi-Ze'ev instead of Matsmith Söderberg-Tremblay because New Orleans and Chicago is not so much friends, but Patya not thinking is any bad blood for fun event like All-Star game! Patya choosing these linemates because much great players that very impressive to Patya. Am wanting for Videl Valor to put on great show because is exiting New Orleans for new team and want for having great representation before sad partings. Also, Patya think this be fun for Videl! Patya knowing he and best friend Atticus Hale am getting older and falling out of prime, so is be good for Videl for play with younger players who am peaking and have so much skill. Patya also think this maybe showcase how good is Videl so everyone am finally knowing and Videl am more appreciated!

2. Written, up to 4 TPE - Shiny Grab Bag: Pick up to 4 topics related to the All Star Game to write about! Each topic is worth 1 TPE. Each answer must be 50+ words.

A) I think the West would score more goals, if you notice the trend many of those players are from Winnipeg so they would already have great on ice chemistry that they can feed off. The players on the East will be much more newer to eachother and would be more of a feeling out process.

b) The East do have some very strong defenders including O'Slapahan who very well has a chance at winning MVP along with the Stevens the Bojo. But that being said, much like the forward group having both Winnipeg D players allows for a good amount of chemistry on the ice and they will play a large shutdown role against. Individual skill the East has it, but chemistry the west has it.

Well this year DAD made it for us, no not my DAD, not your DAD but DAVID-ARTURRI DONSKOI! David had a great season for Texas and was a large part in the success the team had this season. David put up 32 goals this season, which was good to lead the Texas Renegades in goals. With these 32 goals he put up 79 points, which was 12 points more then his previous high. He also put up 47 assists which was also good to lead the team. David leads the team in many ways as he is also the teams captain and always has the right words to say to motivate the team when the team needs motivation. Dad recently started question of the day in the texas locker room allowing members to learn more about each other. Dad really does it all for our team both on the ice and off the ice. His point totals only show a small part of the work he puts in.

There were a lot of great players out of the West that David could play with Lias Ekholm-Gunnarsson, who has been a stud the last 3 seasons. Or he could line up next to Evan Winter who has been climbing up the rankings ever since their rookie season. With Evan Winter David could also be a good mentor for Winter as David also mentors alot of the young players on Texas. It would be funny to see David next Matsmith Söderberg-Tremblay who is a big time rival with them playing on Chicago. For us in Texas it is great to have David there for his All Star game, meeting new players and learning new things you can add to your game always go under appreciated and that is what is great about these events that there is much more then just the game. But new friendships and skills being learned on and off the ice. Hopefully next season we can have more then 1 texas player.

#3 Shoyo Hinata is one of the most deserving all stars in the history of the simulation hockey league all star game. He managed to tally an impressive 88 points, consisting of 39 goals and 9 assists, in merely 66 games! And he managed this feat while being doomed to play hockey with the bums that make up the Atlanta Inferno. He had only 42 penalty minutes despite playing with many rage inducing fools like Angus McFife. Shoyo Hinata showed up hugely on the power play, notching 14 power play goals and 15 power play assists. That is impressive because Atlanta sucks at hockey and commits far more penalties than the other team does. Shoyo Hinata is also a true team player, as he plays nearly two minutes per game short handed. He uses his energy to play short handed instead of saving it to attack, what a team player! Anyways atlanta is pretty bad but Shoyo had a solid season!

2)
a. I would anticipate the eastern conference team scoring the most goals in the all star game. In the all star game, the lights shine brightest and I think that Konstantin Selich and Ivan Lacksamus will rise to the occasion and bag a few goals each! The west will have too many chefs in the kitchen with MST, Evan Winter, LEG, and Benjamin Surkhi-Ze'ev all competing for ice time. (60 something words)

c. There is not a goalie in the history of goalies that I would take over my beloved Mat Smith! He could be paired with a literal toddler in the all star game and I would still pick that pair! Not only does Mat make every save look easy, he also makes them look cool! (54 words)
