[2x Team Spotlight] Tampa Bay Barracuda draft numbers
#1

We are back with part 9 of this team of the week series, this week the turn is for the Tampa Bay Barracudas. For the rules see part 1 (Edmonton Blizzards), with a small update in part 7 (Hamilton Steelhawks).
The Tampa Bay Barracuda has shown to love drafting players, drafting a total of 66 players, which has 14 not in the portal, and 20 coming from the waiver draft.

The first thing we look at is the season these players got drafted in. The first big jump is found in S69, seeing 10 players drafted, following this one closely is S67, and S74 with 9 each. No drafts got 8 or 7 players drafted, but S72 sees 6 players being drafted, S71 sees 5, S64, S70, and S73 sees 4 draftees coming to the Barracudas, S63, S66, and S68 sees 3, S65, S75, and S76 sees 2, and no season sees 1 player joining the Tampa Bay Barracudas.

Next up we see the round of the SHL drafts the player were drafted from, with the Tampa Bay Barracuda having taken draftees from 11 different rounds, they sure like to go deep into the draft. The 1st round sees 20 players being drafted, the 2nd round 10, the 3rd round 16, then 7 in the 4th round, 4 in the 5th round, 2 in the 6th, 7th, and 8th round, and 1 being drafted in the 9th, 10th, and 11th rounds.

Before going to the position, we lose 14 players who are not in the portal, meaning 52 players remaining.
The position of these players sees the main priority being the defense, with 11 right defenders, and 9 left defenders being drafted, following these are the offensive positions, with 9 left wingers, and 8 players drafted for both right wing and center. Finally 5 goalies have been drafted during this time.

With the 5th and 4th round also being reached on 1 occasion, the 3rd round 8 times, 9 times for the 2nd round, and finally 12 times in the 1st round a player was drafted.
