S70 mPT #5: Rising Stars

Aaron Ranger really showed up for the Kraken in the playoffs, even if we went out in the second round. He shows incredible promise for the future and I'm interested to see how he plays going forward.

In Calgary, it is definitely Strom Chamberlain. Despite being ancient and decrepit, he still manages to put up outstanding seasons one after another. He is a huge part of the Dragons success.

With the second-to-last place finish in the SMJHL, Anchorage was looking for this to be a rebuilding year. So it was considered a decent surprise when they took the Great Falls Grizzlies, a team that had a goal differential 200 goals greater than Anchorage, to take 6 games to eliminate the Boats. The MVP was growing star player Daniel Grumathan, who went beast mode in the playoffs tallying 5 goals and 9 points in 6 games. After Tony Soprano, who had 8 points, no other Armada player had more than 4.

I think easily @Jimmysmo27 has proven himself this past season. KyIe Murray has been an integral part of this SFP rebuild, and had a fantastic rookie season with the Pride! The future is bright.

I think everybody was expecting a big year for Mikko Rashford, but Lias Ekholm-Gunnarsson really stepped up this season and took their game to an elite level with 51 goals, 79 assists, 130 points and a real strong defensive game holding down the middle of the ice.

Walt "Clyde" Frazier is the man on the Colorado Raptors. Walt continues to improve his game even though some times to does appear that way. It is a mystery.

Well I’m in the Js so it’s not that easy to do something magically unless you get fhm luck. That being said, I’m impressed with Ray the most on the team.

Imma be frank, not a whole lot went right for us this year. Nobody was point per game. We let in too many goals. Power Play was anemic. Penalty Kill was weak. Finally we had a rookie goaltender in net who was just absolutely shelled...

With all that said, what i wanna point out is the fact that the lockerroom in Tampa Bay stayed positive about both this season and the future. This is a mostly young team that will start to hit it's stride in the next two seasons.

Derek Martin once again has proven the mark he can leave in this league in both raw talent and leadership. But our rookies are nothing to write home about; they stood up to the task asked of them and helped fill roles needed to have a great season for the Kraken.

I'm impressed by my fellow rookie, Pawter Meowski. They were 4th in scoring on the team and were approaching a PPG pace when the season closed, highlighting their bright scoring future in seasons to come.

Paul Peterson has really come into his own this season. As the youngest member of the team, he has shown he can play with the big boys and demonstrated that yet again when he put away Seattle in Game 5 by scoring a hat trick.

Clearly @Andy as Moewski had an insane season for a rookie! I hope he will be named as a finalist for the ROTY, he deserves it a lot.

Hey I'm DAD can I adopt you?

pablo salvatici impressed me a @Jepox lot this season - there was talk of him being washed before the season (from cam btw not from me) and he went and completely balled out despite heading farther into regression. what a legend!
