In nearly 10 real-life years within this community, there has been a lot of growth and change within the SHL. We have grown in a number of ways; from a completely different forum hosting service, from STHS to FHM, from forum-only communication to SHL-sanctioned Discord servers, and many MANY other changes that have taken place over time. The one major change, however, is how welcoming the community has grown to be.

When I arrived, the forum was in complete disarray; starting a new player was daunting at best. What do I even do? What tasks am I eligible for? What ARE tasks? What the hell is training? Why are there so many types of equipment? Most importantly, WHAT IS CAPPED AND UNCAPPED TPE?? And how do I earn more? Luckily, over time the process was streamlined and now it's a cakewalk to create - and grow - into a serious threat at both the SMJHL and SHL level.

But let's talk about something more serious; toxicity. This has, and always will be the biggest threat to the growth and "thrive-ability" of any online community. Back then, there was a place known as the SHL Thunderdome. Nowadays, all 77 pages sit collecting dust and settling well-beneath a league that has matured and thrived under the realm and promise of stability and apprenticeship. For SHL history buffs, the Thunderdome represents an era of a time we've forgotten - and likely for the better. The dark question remained unanswered though, who were the real kings of the SHL Thunderdome?

Until now.

Ladies and gentlemen, I have gone through all 77 pages of the historic SHL Thunderdome and compiled the official list of The Most Toxic Members in SHL History. This is not my feelings on the matter; these are the cold, hard facts. Over the next several days I will be posting - in order from #20 to #1 - the single most toxic members in SHL history with the numbers and facts to back it up. Fresh off the biggest punishment in SHL history, I'm ready to call out those who have spent their time attempting to drag down the beauty of what has grown into a beautiful, thriving online metropolis where we can live out our fantasies as star hockey players.

To them, I say: YOU HAVE FAILED. SHL as prevailed, and now it's time to shine light on the TRUE Kings of the Thunderdome; the Deities of Drama; the Sultans of Slime; the Princes of Plaster; the Maidens of Mudslinging!

Oh Christ. I don’t know if I’m on this list or not but I will say this.

Six years is a long time. My behavior then would probably get me permabanned now.

I was drunk virtually all the time. This is not an excuse for any bad behavior but it is a fact. My behavior was literally ten times worse in real life and my drinking almost killed me. It cost me a job, friends, and almost my family. I am five years clean after two stints in rehab. I’m not patting myself on the back. I would just ask that people realize people actually can change. I’m all for this media and if I’m on the list, cool. I deserve to be. But I am not that person anymore and I can barely recognize that person.
