Welcome to the 2nd entry of this week, with entry 19 we are looking at the Texas Renegades.
Between S62 and S76 the Texas Renegades have drafted a total of 51 players, 10 of which are not in the portal, and 6 were gotten from the waiver wire. Apart from this there are 16 players with an unknown position. But let us first look at the season the players were drafted in, for this category all 51 players are taken into account. We see a group of a few big drafts around the middle of these seasons, with 8 draftees coming in season 69, and 7 in both S68 and S67. The next biggest are S66, S71, and S73 with 4. Those are followed by S62, S65, and S75 with 3 each. 2 players got drafted in S64, and S72, while S63, S70, S74, and S76 are left with 1 player each. The Renegades drafted in every single one of these seasons. Next up the SHL round the players got drafted out of. Surprisingly the 3rd round is the favorite one for the Texas Renegades with 17 players this is followed by the 2nd round with 13, and only then the 1st round comes with 12 draftees. The Renegades then also drafted 5 players in round 4, 3 players in round 5, and finally 1 player in round 6. Next up the positions, in which 16 players have an unknown position leaving 35 players for this statistic. Of these 35 there are 11 left wings, and 9 centers. Following those 2 big positions are right defense with 6, and then both left defense and goalies with 4 each. Finally there has only been 1 right winger drafted by the Renegades. Let us now look at the junior league draft round, which is missing both the players not in the portal, and the players that came from the waiver wire meaning we are losing 16 players, leaving 35 players (once again). Also once again the 3rd round is the biggest one with 10 draftees, followed by the 2nd round with 9, surprisingly followed by the 4th round with 8, which I think is the first time the 4th round has been bigger than the 1st round (or any previous rounds for that matter). The 1st round has 6, and the 5th round has 2 players that eventually ended up at the Renegades. Next up the last category, the junior league teams that the drafted players came from before going to Texas. There are 3 teams that have 5 players going to Texas, these being the Detroit Falcons, Newfoundland Berserkers, and the Regina Elk. Following this up we have the Kelowna Knights, Maine Timber, and St. Louis Scarecrows at 4 each. Then comes the Carolina Kraken, Great Falls Grizzlies, and the Vancouver Whalers at 3. Next up we have the Yukon Malamutes as the only team with 2 draftees, and lastly the Anchorage Armada, Nevada Battleborn, and Quebec City Citadelles at 1. And like always the long-awaited chaotic chart got its 19th team added, only 1 more to go for the true beauty of chaos to be complete. This time also, in an even bigger picture than before (in hindsight, maybe a bit too big, but hey this is the favorite chart ). [550 words] Edmonton Blizzard (Contains Rules) Manhattan Rage Minnesota Monarchs Buffalo Stampede San Francisco Pride Chicago Syndicate Hamilton Steelhawks Atlanta Inferno Tampa Bay Barracuda New Orleans Specters Winnipeg Aurora Seattle Argonauts Baltimore Platoon Toronto North Stars New England Wolfpack Los Angeles Panthers Philadelphia Forge Montreal Patriotes

Love this breakdown! S62 was the season I was draft and then took the GM job around S66.
Lots of work goes into these drafts and I'm definitely guilty of taking players super late. Love giving everyone a chance! Thanks for the great write up! |
